#SantaClaus was a big deal for me (I‘m in the vest, circa 1995) This was #MySanta growing up; Mr. Amato was a family friend who played him every year. My Dad (with the cheesy grin in the middle) explained that Santa was the magic & spirit of Christmas; many folks around the world dressed in his suit so you can see that magic with your own eyes. As long as you believe, he is real. ♥️ I have always loved that explanation. #WinterReadathon

Happy Christmas Eve litsy family! This is my first with my daughter not home (why is growing up so hard?) it is quiet and low key, but my Christmas Forest is up and my #litsyholidaycards made my shelves even more festive and cheery. Thank you @MaleficentBookDragon and @teebe for hosting fun swaps and @monalyisha and @MatchlessMarie for delightful much needed distraction. tagged book is a beloved family tradition on audio. I highly recommend it.

An abridged world history with Santa Claus at the center along with a host of historical helpers Santa picks up across the centuries. Fun!

I‘m only 15 minutes into this book and I‘m completely in love with Saint Nicholas.

A great holiday read that tells the story of Santa Claus. It‘s also packed with centuries of history and adds roles with famous characters. My mom would be proud of me for reading this one. 😊 She was always adamant that Santa was real, no matter my growth into adulthood. 🙄 Now, I proudly display her decoration in her honor and memory. ❤️🎅🏻💚

Background of Santa Claus meets historical fiction.
Interesting idea of blending the actual history of Santa with the mythos; we meet A LOT of interesting characters, even #royalty , and the unexpected band together to make Christmas what it is. It is very euro-centric (as expected for a bit) but turs heavily American-centric and even neglects mentioning S.A. and CA.

For Littens who celebrate Christmas, I recommend this lovely book told in 25 chapters. My family read them like an advent calendar when my daughter was younger. Very sweet book. Entertaining for the whole family and introduces the idea of Santa's helpers for when kids get older.
