March was a bit of a bust.
Not much time for reading & even less time for Litsying.
Did not get to join any group reads and achieved nothing off BookspinBingo.
I hope to do some catch up in the next few days and see what you all have been reading.

Favorite book of the month: The Women
Including the Follett book even though I‘m not done-i‘ve listened to 30 of the 40 hours, so I say it counts!
It‘s amazing! Looking forward to finishing it soon.

I‘m still in a busy time and not getting onto Litsy as much as I‘d like.
However I was still able to read several books via audio while on the road. Yay!
I got one Bingo and read both the Bookspin and Doublespin books.
Favorite of the month was Blood Lines. It‘s the best of the series…so far.
Runner up: The Running Grave. Love Cormoran Strike! I hope I don‘t have to wait too long for the next one.

The last ½ of January totally got away from me and I had no time to be here.
I will try to backtrack to some of my buddy reads in the next few days.
I liked all my January reads. Got one Bingo for #bookspinbingo. @TheAromaofBooks
Favorites for the month were The Frozen River & the Follett book.
Really Enjoyed Remarkably Bright Creatures and The Spectacular!
Cooking for Picasso and Ultra Processed People were flawed, but soft picks for me.

TheAromaofBooks Yay!! Fantastic month!! 11mo

2023 was a great reading year for me. I initially hope to read at least 55 books. I far surpassed that 😀
Read lots of books I would have otherwise missed if not for my Litsy friends, challenges and group reads.
While my series stats for 2023 were quite good, I am hoping for better in 2024.
I nearly met my goal of not starting any new series until I complete one already in progress.

Despite my time limitations for reading/posting on Litsy, I had a fun #Scarathlon and finished 14 books.
Thanks @AnnR @Read4life @aperfectmjk @Clwojick & @TheAromaofBooks no full bingo cards, but hit a few bingos on all.

25,935 points for the 2nd half of Scarathlon.
Grand total for the month: 33,814. Yippee!
Thanks to a great team leader @Emilymdxn and to my #skeletoncrew teammates! You all made it fun! Hope next time I can share more in posts

IndoorDame Woohoo!!! 🥳 Such a fun month! 14mo

Catch up post, all read last week. All good, but not spectacular.

Gaiman book was a blast from the past! Loved getting some HHGTTG dirt & hearing excerpts from the radio shows. Quite fun for die hard fans—must read the audio version with Simon Jones-aka Arthur Dent

Landay book was a great mystery about a Mom who disappeared and Dad is prime suspect, but the pacing felt slow at times.

Binti was for #authoramonth. Always fun to try new authors.

I had a great first half of the year!
My favorite was Demon Copperhead, but all 4 books in the top row were 5 star reads for me.
I rated all the others as 4.5 stars.
Can‘t wait to see how the next 6 months go. I can tell it‘s going to be hard to choose a top 10 for 2023!

I had little time to get on Litsy this month, but was driving in my car a lot so had a good reading month. I‘ll try to post some reviews this weekend, but I wanted to post May #bookspin info now. No Bingo for me. 😔

My favorite reads were Devil‘s Pawn (#serieslove2023), Notorious RBG and The Masterpiece.
Disappointed in The Splendid and the Vile. Parts were great…others were 😴. I like other Larson books better #Authoramonth

TheSpineView Still a good month! 2y

January reads!
20 books
6,611 pages

Heavy on the reflective emotional reads because I am a moody bitch apparently 🤣

This year I read 176 books.

It is too many books for me.
I started reviewing and honestly there are some I completely forgot I read.
Some were total gems, some where complete disappointments.
My goals were for 100 books 50K pages, and I far surpassed this. I also had the goal of reading all of Toni Morrison's Novels which I completed and am so glad I did, what an amazing treasure she was.

Here are my read books for October that were new to me. I also did some re-reads via #audible romance package.
Not a super high volume month but not bad.
I am at 147 books for the year and my 2018 goal was 150 so I should be hitting that in the next month easily.

A fairly disappointing month in terms of quality with many books just fair to middling but there were still a few that were incredible. Plus I got to meet Sarah Moss, Helen Sedgwick, Olivia Sudjic and the inimitable Ali Smith (not to mention @scripturient and @Heideschrampf!) so it was still a social bookish month #stats

MinDea Whoa! 👏👏👏 how do you read so many in a month? That is more than 1 book a day!! 7y

scripturient Sorry that the quality wasn't so great but 35 books - that's amazing! :) And yes, meeting up at the festival was great. We should do that again. 😊 7y
Moray_Reads @MinDea @RestlessFickleBookSlut it's just time and few other commitments! The more I read the faster I get 😉 7y
Sace @Moray_Reads I feel like the more I read the slower I get! 😂 I bet if I weaned myself off TV I'd get a lot more read! 7y

Not my strongest reading month but still I'm glad with the titles I read...my favorites were Swimming Lessons, A History of Love, Underground Airlines and Gustav Sonata. I was able to add a few titles for my #LitsyAtoZ 20/26 Letters to go #J #K #O #Q #V #X and two titles for #Nonfictionchallenge17 After Perfect & Lab Girl!

Lola You basically read twice as much as me (I had 7 for April-7/8 seems to be my average) and yet you didn't have your strongest reading month. I am in awe. Rock on! 🙌🏻 8y
Cinfhen Awww thanks @Lola 😘😘I think any amount of reading is commendable plus I'm unemployed so...lots of downtime 🙄🙄😬🙄 8y
Lola @Cinfhen Completely agree re all reading is ace. This is why I love this community. We all get it. And live it and embrace it and encourage it. People in my "real life" look askance at how much I read-like I really should be dong something else. I had to disconnect my GR from giving FB updates ? 8y

My 2016 reading round-up. Litsy sure played a part in increasing my book count! Though it's very distracting and cuts into reading time too 😉
But funnily, my newfound love of graphic novels may have inflated the book count while lowering my page total...😕
Either way, a good year (book-wise. The rest of 2016 was ☹️😢😠😖😫) and now on to a new book-filled year!
