Just finished this lovely book! It is ment to be like a bookdiary from Belle, quotes from books she could have read and loved and her comments on them. Together with cute illustrations it makes a cute coffeetable book that I will definitely revisit every now and then. 4/5⭐️

This is a book that looks cute on the outside, but is actually full of wisdom. It has references to great works that would be on Belle from Beauty and the Beast‘s Reading list. If, like me, you fell in love with Belle for her love of books, then you will enjoy this one.

AOTD: Despite my profile pic my favorite is Mulan, then Rapunzel, then Belle.

I love this. I looked at it on Amazon so many times, and even added it to my Wishlist. I went into B&N a few days ago and it was one of the Bargain deals. I knew it was meant to be. I read the foreword and plan to read one quote and "thought" each day until I read the end.

I freely admit I bought this for the lovely cover. The intro by Linda Woolverton, screenwriter for B&B, discusses why they made Belle a reader. The heart of the book features a literary quote on one page & on the facing page Belle's response to it, often tying into the movie. There are charming hand drawn illustrations throughout & quotes are grouped by theme. The last section talks about each of the 16 books and lists the pg. #'s for the quotes.

This book is a wonderful gift for the Beauty and the Beast fan in your life. It's a cute little book of quotes and what Belle thinks about them! There are some cute illustrations on the pages and it's a wonderful interactive part of our favorite story!
