On 12/9, the incredible #NashvilleLittens holiday party took place. I was so excited to go, but a tornado ripped through my Nashville suburb, hitting a quarter of a mile from my house (no damage, thankfully, but we lost power for 50 hours). I got my Secret Santa gift from the party a few days ago, and to say @Alfrazier21 spoiled me is an understatement! I‘m overwhelmed by her thoughtfulness and generosity. Thanks, friend! Hope to see you soon!

I‘m super late posting, but here are the highlights from our #NashvilleLittens Holiday Party! Incredible appetizers and desserts, thoughtful gifts, the best conversations, and all the laughs. One of my favorite holiday traditions! This was our 4th, I think. Thank you, Ann and Joseph 🐾 for hosting. And thank you, Amy for my perfect gifts. You know me well! 🤗

After lunch, we went book store hopping, hitting up #ParnassusBooks #TheBookshopNashville and a new, cozy spot #NoveletteBooksellers. What a fun day! I needed that. 🤩

Took Miles Morales and Peter Parker to The Bookshop in East Nashville for the first time today. It‘s such a happy little place. We happily adhered to their mask policy and limited capacity. The last time I was there was with my #NashvilleLittens the day before everything nonessential shut down. It was good to be back! #raisingreaders

And here‘s the super cute, and gorgeously curated, The Bookshop Nashville. It‘s a teeny store with so much color and character. It makes my heart happy. 💚 Luckily, this shop did not sustain damage from last week‘s horrific tornado, but with all that‘s going on here, and in the world, it felt good to contribute to the East Nashville economy. It‘s that time again! #NashvilleLitsyMeetUp on Saturday September 14th at Noon. Meeting at Landmark Booksellers in Franklin, TN. There is a free parking garage on 2nd Ave right by there. After browsing and mingling, we will walk over to a lunch place nearby that will be decided that day, and we will do a mystery book exchange. If you are in the area and interested let us know! There may even be a coffee shop stop.

#NashvilleLitsyMeetUp part 2, my BFF came up just to stay with me so she could go to this meetup and she brought some books (stacked) and while we were at the meet up she bought me dinosaur magnets ❤️ And of course our Librarian, Ann, brought all the ARCs for us to pick and choose some books. Britt even brought some bookish pins! Thank you, Everyone, for the delicious food and excellent company! Fun as always 😘

#NashvilleLitsyMeetUp part 1, we had a fun day with a picnic in the shade where we all brought blankets, food, and drinks to snack on and we discussed books and life and it was wonderful catching up with these Ladies! Then we walked over to the Art Festival and had some food truck food (🙌) before walking around to see the arts and crafts. Then we ended at B&N across the street. I absolutely loved it and can‘t wait for next time 😊

Friendly reminder that two weeks from today is the next #NashvilleLitsyMeetUp we will be meeting at Centennial Park (park there or at B&N garage which charges) at 11:00. We plan on going through the art show that will be there, visiting the Parthenon which costs $6.5 plus fee if no cash, and there will also be food trucks! We are all bringing a little something for everyone for a potluck makeshift picnic as well. End at B&N 🙌 June 15th!

Another amazing #NashvilleLitsyMeetup is in the books! We explored the gorgeous Nashville Public Library, grabbed lunch, exchanged books, sifted through a shocking number of ARCs, met some lovely new ladies, and had excellent conversations as always. And after everyone left, I went to McKay‘s and BAM because obviously it‘s book day, and two books came in the mail. This is my overall #BookHaul for today! Thank you so very much, again, @Booksnchill for planning it and taking care of us all! Thank you @HeatherBookNerd for my NPL membership, thank you @britt_brooke for the bookmarks, and @ferskner for so many ARCs! And thank you to all of you Ladies for coming and bringing extra picks to pick! ❤️

Then we went to @Booksnchill ‘s workplace to gather and do a dirty Santa kind of book exchange, and @ferskner brought SOOO many ARCs to let us go through and choose what we wanted. We didn‘t even make much of dent. #NashvilleLitsyMeetUp #ProxyPosse

Just a reminder, we are having our quarterly #NashvilleLitsyMeetUp on Saturday March 16th, and we are meeting at the Nashville Public Library, we will browse and mingle, then we will be walking toward @Booksnchill ‘s office where she booked a room for us to gather and play a game of book gift giving dirty Santa style. We will eat along the way. Meet at 10:30 and bring a covered book, best one you read last year (published any year). Can‘t wait!

Also, I want to put out there that the quarterly #NashvilleLitsyMeetUp will be Saturday, March 16th for any in the area or that might be in the area around that time. We usually meet around lunch and spend a few hours socializing and discussing books. We may even do another blind book date swap if people are interested. Today, I had the immense pleasure of seeing Rick Bragg then later, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor (no photos permitted), and meeting them both, respectively. I have to add, they both commented on my shirt which I picked up at a local boutique recently. It‘s my new favorite! 💚 #southernfestivalofbooks

Finally made it my first Southern Festival of Books! I was not well-prepared (I will be next year), but I still had a great day. It‘s hard to beat this beautiful setting - War Memorial Park/Auditorium, TN State Capitol, Nashville Public Library. 😍

What a wonderful #LitsyMeetup! A blind book swap & making bookmarks at High Garden Tea Shop, shopping at The Book Shop, & dinner at Five Points Pizza, where the slices truly are as big as your head!
