Finished this sheep detective story for #LMPBC and I thought it was cute but a little confusing for me at times because... well, it IS from the sheep‘s perspective so I shouldn‘t be too surprised. Ha! Looking forward to hearing what my group thinks!
This also fulfilled the “Book Gifted to You” prompt for #Booked2019. (Fun fact: it was a gift from @mrsmarch for my first Litsy Swap!)
Another go to book of mine. I often buy it for people, saying, I can‘t explain it just read it you won‘t be sorry. Part detective story, part mythology ( was melmont real ) but always very very funny
Sitting in the upstairs hall in my pajamas because my children WON‘T SLEEP. I think the weather has them delirious. 75 degrees and 97% humidity. Looking over the #lmpbc copy of _Three Bags Full_ that came back to me today! So much fun!
@mrsmarch I‘m so sorry but I‘ve had a ridiculously busy month and am behind on my reading! I‘ve started this and it‘s so cute, I just need things to calm down in my life so I can enjoy finishing it! So it will be late coming back to you, but hopefully not too too late ! #LMPBC #round5 #groupQ
#BFC photo challenge. I have listened to a few great audiobooks Norse Mythology and the Kiss Quotient being winners. But my favorite read so far during this challenge was this book. There was just something unique about it. Also here‘s my baby Lucy she has been here for me with the cuddles while I‘ve been on the struggle bus.
These flock of sheep were quite lovely. I enjoyed going on the journey with them to solve the mystery. Their naïveté was endearing and had me enlambered (get it) ?
There was a small trigger for me in this book but otherwise I enjoyed it a lot. It‘s fun to get a perspective other then human on a story.
#lmpbc #groupq it‘s on its way to you now @AnneFindsJoy !!
📚📚 The trailer for “Always Be Your Maybe” came out! 😮😮😮
📚📚📚 hmmm Mediterranean or Thai
📚📚📚📚 Yep & like ... hm. 8? 10? Something like that. Perhaps some unknown ones, WHO KNOWS? Lot of uncles. 😂
📚📚📚📚📚 uhhhh I‘m bad at tagging people so GO FOR IT, EVERYONE
This book was a delight to read! These sheep are not from the typical run of the mill herd, that's for sure. I related to them in so many ways 🤔😂.
Now to finish with all my mark-ups✍️. You would think I'm studying for exams of some sort- these 🐑🐏 really have my ⚙️⚙️'s turning! 🤓

Dec. 26 - Favorite standalones
📚 Jonathan Strange and Nr. Norell - loved the atmosphere, the writing style (it read like it was written the Victorian era to me), and the subtle magic
📚 Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman - lots of LOLing happened while reading.
📚 Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann - this is a murder mystery and the flock of sheep are the detectives!
Man, checking Litsy at 3 am while I blow my nose and chug Alka-Seltzer Cold & Cough is bad for my TBR. I think I‘ve stacked like three books? Let me add to all of YOUR impulse-wee-hours by sharing this book I recommended to @trueisa4letterword before I went to bed last night. Do you like sheep? Do you like mysteries? Do you like sheep solving mysteries? Are you disturbingly fond of abysses and maple on toast? This book‘s for you!
When George Glenn‘s body is found lying in his sheep field, his flock realizes that they must be the ones to find justice (whatever that is—they‘re not sure) for their beloved shepherd. What follows is one of the more unusual mysteries I‘ve read. Although I enjoyed it, I‘m left feeling a bit bewildered afterward. Still, it was fun. 🕵️♀️🕵️♂️🐏🐑
My sister and I put together bookish boxes as our gift this year and here is mine 📚🎄📚🎄 I even got custom coasters and bookmarks made by my little nephew 😍 Thanks @CaitMobley ! Love you 💜
Day 5 of #riotgrams / number titles. I went hunting in my living room shelves for appropriate books and was shocked by how many we had! Fun fact: I have read exactly one of these books. 😬😱🤷🏻♀️ #numbertitles
First of two #libraryhauls this week!
Really struggling with this one. I expected something fun and charming with slightly silly narrators (like a Chet & Bernie story). Instead, the book seems to take itself very seriously. The sheep have more "human" thoughts and reactions and I have yet to laugh. I'm going to give it a few more chapters, I think, because the Litsy reviews are good, but I'm just not sure.
Clever, silly, funny, and delightful. These sheep remind me of people. Or do people remind me of sheep?! Either way, very enjoyable read and a pretty respectable mystery, too.
Book 2 of my order is also in - I read so many good things about this on Litsy and please, a mystery book with sheep as the detectives‽ I can't not read this!
Yes! Delightful! How do a flock of sheep - vague, jumpy, passive- solve a murder? Collectively (of course) and with persistence and attention. Their solution is both quite wrong and essentially right. What's more, they drive the (human) truth out into the open.
Not sure what to expect here: a flock of sheep set about finding the murderer of their shepherd (who read books to them every night). I'm hoping for a sheep's-eye view of humanity. A little lamb leaps in the bottom corner of each right-hand page, making a bonus flip-book of frolicking foragers.
