This trilogy is one of my most anticipated from my TBR but I keep procrastinating starting because this is the end and I don‘t want my time in The Realm of the Elderlings to end.

As much as I enjoy Hobb‘s writing, I feel like I‘ve taken an emotional beating every time I finish one. And the cliff hangers! The characters get such a hold on your heart. I love these books but I think I need a rom-com chaser or maybe a fantasy or sci-fi with a happy ending. 😄
1. Regal, from Robin Hobbs Farseer books. Honestly hate him with a passion.
2. I have never cried as hard as I did at the death of a character in the tagged book. I don't want to spoiler it for anyone though. But it's stayed with me.
3. I used to live there so let's go for Terry Deary from Sunderland!

Wow. Took a couple of chapters to get my head out of the Rainwilds and back to FitzChivalry, but once I did.... And... she's still awfully good at torturing the poor guy.
Complex and wonderful characters, twists and turns, and terrifically written story.
Talk about tension! My stomach was in knots all through this book! Stayed up until 1am to finish it and I‘ll be picking up the next in the series first thing in the morning. A few new characters introduced in this one and as always, they were so well written. It was great to see Fitz again, even if he does keep F‘ing everything up! This time we see him from a different perspective and in a different phase of his life, which is really interesting.
Best part of having a dad who reads the same kinda of books as you (well for the most part) is I can always go raid his bookshelf. These books appear on multiple lists of the best fantasy books/series of all time so I figured it was time I should give them a go. My goal is to at least have read 1 of these before the end of summer but I guess we shall see.
Forgot to post yesterday.
Day 6 of #7days7books that left an impression on me.
Fitz and the Fool 💕

Loved this trilogy and look forward to reading the other books set in this world!
I visited B&N this morning with a gift card from my mom ❤️📚. Here‘s what I brought home! I‘m planning on going to the B&N bookclub meeting for Sea Women in April, anyone else? It‘ll be my first one!
My next Robin Hobb read inspired by @Mitch 😊. I have done the last 2 on audio, but my library doesn‘t have this one, so print it is!
On book buying bans- how do we feel about Library sales to find books to send to friends? 🤔?
Holy forking shirtballs, what a cliffhanger! 😮Thank goodness I‘m prepared and picked up Book II from the library yesterday. #WinterStormReading

I love returning to the world of Fitz, the Fool, assassins, intrigues and drama, and this book gave me all the feels. While some things annoy me a tiny bit, all the other great things make up for it. And with a cliff hanger ending like that, I‘m so glad I have the next two books ready of my shelf!
It took some days, but first book finished of 2019 🙌
I spent the first day of 2019 on my couch watching reality tv (any Love Island UK fans??? 😄), but today I‘m ready to start my first read of the year. And I know I‘m in for a good time with Robin Hobb 🙌

I‘m shelving my personal library after moving apartments this summer. This is part of my secondary paper book TBR. Which should be bumped up?
These range from “have wanted to read for ages” to “picked up on a whim at ALAMW 2016” and I need your help deciding if any are must-reads for me 🤓
About my reading preferences: queer, POC, neurodiverse stories to the front! UN-recommends also appreciated. #askLitsy
I read this book like an addict and have already downloaded the next in the series from my library.
Fitz is faced consistently with choices that all have less than desired outcomes. I don't want to give many details lest I spoil it for anyone but I will just say that the beginning of this series is another stellar volume in Hobb's work involving FitzChilvary.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Drags. There was one part where I thought I'd lost my place because Fitz was ruminating over the same topic again and I remembered reading that bit already.
Mmmmmmm, being in education not sure we want to teach that lesson! 😂😂😂😂

Normally, #bookmail makes my day, but I became just a tiny, little bit disappointed when I saw the second and third book of the Fitz and the Fool trilogy were shorter than the first and all my other Hobb books 😩 I‘m planning on returning them, and getting them in the right size, because otherwise I might have gone a little mad everytime I looked at them. All the other books are wonderful, though, and I can‘t wait to get to them 👏👍
Taken from @lesliemarie, I can live with that! 🔪🗡️

For anyone familiar with these books... I just finished The Farseer trilogy and I have this but I know that there is the Tawny Man series that comes first but would I be able to read this before Tawny Man and not be totally lost 😬? TIA
Robin Hobb fans, have you seen this?!? I think I may need this Fitz coloring book.
It was great to be back in this world. This felt very much like a setup book for the rest of the trilogy, but by no means was that bad. Hobb is such a great storyteller.
Boooooooook saaaaaaaaale! 🙌🙌
Got all 3 of these for just under 20 bucks! 🤗
I've been waiting for the 3rd one to come out in mass market paperback so it matches the rest of my series! I am so excited to dive back into this world! I just can't decide if I am going to do a complete re-read up to these, or just wing it and hope I remember everything.
Just Gimme some of my Fitz puh-leeease! ❤️
Been saving this trilogy. Today's a great day to start. ❤🎄

I experienced this in audiobook. It made my long commute to work better. It was not what I expected, however I really enjoyed it immensely! I immediately went to the next installment. YAY! It does not have the "romance" with characters like Sarah Maas. However it is there with a lot of the unexpected. I loved it. If you decide to try it, please let me know your thoughts.
My Robin Hobb candles are here from Bookworm Candles and Crafts 😍 I love them so much.
Getting close to calling it a night. #justonorechapter #ilovefitz #ilovethefool #24in48 #halfway
This book is incredible! It's very rare that I enjoy a fantasy series this much, and I can't wait to read the other series by this author! Now to sit down with a good coffee (with some frankly dire latte art) and enjoy the evening! (Sorry for the state of this photo, still getting used to the new camera!)

I always loved the closeness between Fitz and the Fool. I can't think of anyone better for #besties
In fact besties doesn't say enough, the relationship between them was complex and so much more intricate than friends.
I haven't yet read the third installment, but I have it on my TBR this month & I'm keen to delve into that world again.
@Tiffy_Reads
Today's book haul with @sarahrushtxn was quite successful! I the Robert Harris books that I've read so far, so I'm very excited to read these, and I've heard amazing things about Robin Hobb books, so I think it's about time I read them!
Hey look, I won a book from Goodreads! Now I just have to read the 20ish books that come first in the series. 🤦
🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐
I've been saving this series until it's complete release (not easy to do) and they're is something momentous about it being the last ever Fitz and Fool series. I found the first half a bit on the slow side but by then I was well and truly sucked into the story. Everything building to the return of the Fool with some treats cried along the way. Can't wait to read the next book! #romansty #osrbc
I just checked my #Goodreads for the first time in a few days and almost had a heart attack. 😍
I love the hell out of FOOL'S ASSASSIN, but I tried to reread it at a point where I needed something upbeat--and while Hobb is occasionally funny, a feel-good happy-fest she ain't. Consequently, I stumbled and had to take a couple weeks off to tackle some shorter books before I dove back in and finished it. Hopefully I can reread FOOL'S QUEST in a more timely fashion so I can finally see how everything ends in ASSASSIN'S FATE.
I love to recommend pretty much anything by Robin Hobb. Her books are epic & magical & surprisingly real fantasy, and I adore the world-building of the Six Duchies. They get a little confusing because every one either has 'fool' or 'assassin' or both in the title, but I THINK the FitzChivalry Farseer book you wanna start with is Assassin's Apprentice. #17booklove

Fitz and the Fool 💗 although I'm not so sure, which is how it's supposed to be!
Stole pic off internet - apologies if it's yours!
My choice for the letter H for #LitsyAtoZ.
think the main reason this is just so-so for me is because I like some of the author's other books so much better. This book ended on a big cliffhanger, but I don't really feel the need to read the next book in the series. Still, it was nice to see families characters again and I plan on reading the sequel (probably closer to when the third book in this trilogy comes out).
