I‘m partial to a white hot choc. I like the smell of ☕️ but not the taste. I‘d rather be outside unless it‘s wet or 🥶. Hardcovers annoy my wrists. Too heavy. 🕯 make a 🏡 a home. The wrong kind of 🧚 lights can look tacky. Any excuse for a 👗 up I say but when I‘m home it‘s pjs & definitely no underwear. ❤️ a brisket & mash 🥧 in the cooler months. This dancer & high school teacher is an extrovert for sure. 🍏 scent reminds me of cheap shampoo.
Meh, just okay. A bit boring and it felt like a series of vignettes as opposed to a story. They didn't really connect and then it just sort of ends. In the audiobook there is an interview with the author and it seems like these were just taken straight from the column she had written for a magazine. I haven't watched many Sex and the City episodes so I felt like I was missing key background to appreciate this.
My plans Christmas …
Everyone else is watching all The Hobbit things on HBO
So if you‘re blue or lonely or need someone to say “I‘m here” just tag me. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
And just like that!😌🥰

Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with.
I almost abandoned this book with 50 pages left to go. Fans of the HBO series will likely not enjoy the source material as the friendships at the heart of the TV series are missing from this book. While the novel is wittier and much more sardonic, it becomes a bit tedious towards the end. The characters, the trysts, and the cocaine all muddled together and it was hard to really cheer (or care) for any characters in the end.
I‘ll be honest, I wasn‘t overly impressed with the book, but as I recall, Cosmopolitans featured heavily in the TV series, making it a #CosmopolitanMC!

I listened to this an audio and I think it can only be enjoyed if you are like me and have seen every episode of the sex and the city multiple times. It was fun to remember particular episodes when listening to a column and realize aha that‘s where that story came from or that‘s the character they took and made into Miranda or Charlotte. Otherwise it wouldn‘t be that coherent or cohesive.
I looked at all the wonderful literary works set in #NewYork - Jay Gatsby, Holden Caulfield, Francie Nolan... and then I spotted this and remembered how much I used to love the TV show. Oh how I wanted to be Samantha!

1/ Loved the show Sex and the City; hated the book.
2/ either buy or pack.
3/ when I was in 3rd grade I was a good speller, but one day we had a spelling bee. I never liked to speak in class, so I when I was given the word “town,” I was so scared I blurted out, “twon”.

This song was huge in Denmark a few years ago, and I can‘t sit still when I hear it. If you want a listen, here‘s a link to the video https://youtu.be/cgl7chRdGHU 💃

While this is just a fun book I think that it is also one giant love letter to New York City! #city #readingresolutions
Some might say the ladies from Sex and the City are #promiscuous, but I always admired how they were living their best lives doing what they wanted. I might not have agreed with everything they did, but the series did make me rethink some of my norms and stereotypes.
Also, this was a clear example of the series being better than the book. I bailed on this so many times before finally finishing it 😅

This was one of those rare times that the book was not better than the show (or movie). While I enjoyed this enough, it was no where near as awesome as the TV show was. 3🌟 #38of2018
I‘m not a big thrift store shopper but I popped into our local today and found some great stuff in excellent condition! Super excited about Sex and the City and my daughter is so happy about Toy story Operation! Not bad for $6 🤩🤑
Belated Valentine‘s dinner with my valentine of 15 years! (My martini‘s name is sex and the city)
I think of this every year! I love feeling the seasons click in NYC 🍂
A lot of us New Yorkers don't have central a/c, so the crisp fall air makes for refreshingly cozy nights sleeping under the blankets that you've been pushing aside for months 👌🏽
"It was official. A new season had begun. Maybe our mistakes make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course we wouldn't fall in love or have babies or be who we are. After all - seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart and if you're very lucky - a plane ride away." ❤️??https://youtu.be/u8iP1qhVR7U

Even though we spell it differently, Candace Bushnell has always been my kindred spirit. 👯
I agree with the reviews so far that she is a clever writer. This is a particularly well-written paragraph. But also very sad. It's way too cynical for me. There's no humanity in it. I'm glad thus far that the TV show took Bushnell's material to a very different, more hopeful place. I don't feel any hope or happiness in this book despite its claims that it celebrated singledom in New York.
Not as good as TV show, but why not read...
