This made me laugh 😂 🐈
After bumping this for Witch Slap (#netgalley), I‘m back with Alexia and company. This series is just so delightful. I‘m going to be sad when it is over.
Anyone have any recommendations for light steampunk reads like this? Think Steampunk cozy.
While I absolutely ❤️ the Newbury & Hobbes and Jackaby series, the Parasol Protectorate is such lighthearted fun.
I didn‘t get as into her Finishing School books; I‘m not into YA leaning stories right now.
Maybe it‘s because I went to a tea (Harry Potter themed) today, but I‘m finding myself drawn back to this series again.I love these steampunk supernatural little adventures.
Perhaps this will be my next read. I‘d like something lighter after Lone Women.
I love peculiar characters and this book had several of them. I also really love this world: I overall like steampunk but this world is even historical and supernatural.
This was light & fun read.

Starting a re read on a favourite series on a grey day when work is slow :)
It‘s rare that the fourth book in a series is better than previous but I really liked this one more that the previous two, almost as much as the first. This series is so enjoyable and I can‘t wait to read on to the last one.

Daylight folk version of Lord Akeldama's Pink Slurp. Prosecco - I can never bring myself to use Champagne in a Cocktail and a splash of grenadine because I don't have Lord A's Vampire Sensibilities.
I've spent the last 2 days in the Parasolverse switching from Print to Audio. Biffy in Heartless always makes my heart hurt but then comes Timeless and things begin to change.

Book 23 of the year
Im relying entirely on memory here, but I think this was my least favorite of the series. Not that it was bad. But it just lacked a bit of the joy that the others do.
That said, still a pick and a delightful read.
Audiostitching a bunch of little projects this evening!! One of these days, I'm actually going to do a 4 in 24 lol Impressed with all the posts today!
This is what happens when your reading inspires your spring gardening. You bring home Sweet Alyssum - Lobularia hybrid - Dark Knight and a Hedgehog; which you name Hedgeford Hogen-Daz. 💜🦔🤓

These books reliably send me on a romp through a fun alternate universe! Such great fun all the way through. No spoilers, but watch out for the cutest little puppy ever!
Started off slow, but loved the 2nd half. This series is very entertaining.
These books are so much fun. While there were a few bits that irked me throughout this, mainly some inconsistencies in character, on the whole this was another enjoyable madcap adventure which I would recommend.
I love these books! Vampires. Werewolves. Victorian steampunk. So much fun! I‘m looking forward to the last one, but I‘ll be sad when it‘s over.
This is my book featuring an extinct or imaginary creature for #popsugarreadingchallenge (werewolves and vampires). Not my favorite in the series but still solidly entertaining fluff. Please@enjoy these baby Galapagos tortoises from my local zoo!
I have been reading lots of emotionally heavy books lately. Time for something fun. While I‘m under a gazillion blankets. Brrr... I am in serious need of some reading gloves.
Still love this series! Werewolves! Vampires! Ghosts! Strange mechanical devices! So much fun, looking forward to the next one!
I just finished this audiobook this morning while dropping kiddos off to the babysitter and BOY OH BOY!!! I didn‘t think the series could get any better!! There were a lot of shockers in this 4th book of the series and it was just fabulous! I can‘t recommend this series enough. And if your going to read it, definitely do audio bc the narrator is marvelous! I would give this 10⭐️it was that good! Make sure to read the first 3 before this one! 📚
And so the Fun continues....I just couldn‘t wait to start it. So as I‘m getting ready this morning this is what I am listening to! It has started out different than any of the other books but I can hardly wait to see what is in store! The narrator Emily Gray is beyond ahhmazing! I definitely recommend the audio of these!
Killer porcupines, an octomaton, and the highly unusual birth of a highly unusual baby. Need I say more?

”It was like trundling full tilt into a pillar of molasses, the conversation likely to be sticky and the individual attractive only to creepy-crawlies.”
This fourth installment of the Parasol Protectorate took forever to arrive, and I had to wait nearly a month before I could dive back into this fluffy and fun #steampunk series! This is an exciting addition and I‘m excited to see what the ramifications of this thrilling conclusion will mean for the last book in the series!!
Loving this series! I‘m really glad that we got more character development from the side characters, it feels more complete. #steampunk #fantasy
I am really loving this series and I‘m sad that I only have one book left! I‘ll be checking out Carriger‘s related books as well and perhaps even a Manga? #84of2018 #ParasolProtectorate
Ah, the unexpected moments of humor are part of what makes books so fantastic!
Baby got back(s)!
Kim Harrison was my go to but then I found these other beauties!
Don't get me started on the stickers left over on some of these... 😡

All sorts of fun! Surprising Plot Twists! On to Timeless! 🐾🐙🐝👒🎩
"Men, even immortal ones, had fragile egos on certain subjects. Such egos could be as delicate and as messy as puff pastry. Though rather less palatable with tea."

Felicity has become much more interesting in Heartless. I hope that she is actually changing from the annoying, vapid character she has been in previous books. I have not gotten very deep into the novel yet, but at this point every time Felicity is around I am hearing Sister Suffragette from Mary Poppins.

More Parasol than ever before! And liberal application of tea to solve all the world's worries. Carriger does a fantastic job of continuing to develop her characters, they actually grow as people as the series progresses. With each new story she also fleshes out the supporting characters so you have a richer story. In this entry there's plenty of intrigue - with supernatural AND scientists involved this times.
As the series progresses we finally get a mention of the series title AND an oath. Anyone care to join the Parasol Protectorate? #24in48 #readathon
Finished this on Christmas Eve. Another fun book in the series. Hoping to get to the next one soon...
I've got 3 days to read as much as I possible can until I start my next grad class and life gets absurdly busy again...
And we're on to Heartless, bk 4 of the Parasol Protectorate. Absolutely loving these books about a soulless lady in Victorian England, married to a werewolf and best friends with a vampire. Lots of derring-do, parasols and copious amounts of tea.
Another winner for Gail Carriger! I found this one more predictable but still love this series and can't wait to find out what is in store for the final boo!
Apparently it is time for more Gail Carriger. I am consuming her books at an alarming rate!
