Welcome to Litsy!

I finally got one!! I‘ve been tagging this book since 2018 (for those that don‘t know my name is George). It‘s been out of print since 2019 since it‘s from a small independent author. It cost a bit for what it is but I finally found a used copy. I got it from Abe‘s books. Seems interesting too. @Yuki_Onna

I took this photo in 2017 at the height of my mental health struggles and significant depression. Appearances are meaningless. Everyone wants to present themselves in a way that often conflicts with how they actually feel inside. I‘ve been off medication for almost one year (except for anxiety). For the first time in my life I feel like there might be a grain of truth to what many people have said & that I dismissed. It can get better.

God the nights stretch endlessly, filled with thoughts. The thoughts don‘t stop. It feels like having different conversations at the same time. I speak over myself. I hear jumbled words. Incoherent phrases. Hope is a stranger. My thoughts at time are unbearable. Tonight is such a night. I hope you all have a kind night.

I feel that this has given me the most incredible and wonderful thing that I have ever been given, and also, the worst. It's a mixed bag. I have been taken to the to the depths of extreme terror by this. I've had my whole soul undermined by it, on the one hand. On the other hand in one sense, my experience has been about finding joy.

I don't know if it's worth it anymore

When I first joined Litsy, I thought it was a wonderful place to make new friends and talk about books. Now I know it is neither. Litsy is apparently a place where someone can attack you without rhyme or reason except to start a popularity contest or a political debate. Litsy is apparently a place where someone can defame and slander your character and the powers that be do nothing but sit idly by.

2. Lake Michigan in chicago and a few months ago. It's not the same. I hate it when people say “lets go to the beach“ and they mean the lake “beaches“. I grew up on islands, IT IS NOT THE SAME THING! I miss beaches.
3=. No. I was sick Friday, had to run a fundraiser that no one showed up to Saturday and vegged Sunday.
