So my Bestie, @Lose.Yourself.In.A.Book , treated me again to a girls‘ day. She bought lunch, pedicures, and then took me to #BooksAMillion where they had the 3 leather bound collections on sale and all together they were $20. She also bought the Thesaurus plaque and the Monster bookmark. I bought the other bookmark and three books for about $20 as well. Re-reading this again so I'm nice and fresh on all the details when I read the sequel. (I finally bought it...it's been on my To Read list for a while). This book is definitely more on the YA side of young (if that makes sense) but I did enjoy the story!

Boy, did this book have my heart thumping! It was a bit strange at first, but then a few chapters in it get tense - real fast. And then it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Twists and turns and more surprises than I would've imagined. Pick this one up if you want a book that'll grab your attention and keep you turning those pages late into the night. Hard to put down!

I had high hopes for this book, but they weren't necessarily met. I was frustrated with the first half of the book. It felt predictable and familiar--neither of which you want in a book you've never read. There were a couple twists that took me by surprise, but it very much felt like a set up for a series, and I'd like to think that readers deserve better. Just finished this, and omg so crazy! Definitely has the heart-pounding action of a thriller. Some of it was a bit predictable, but then some twists were so unexpected. I'm not sure I believe the motivation behind the plot, but I'm still going to have to read the subsequent books. I didn't realize it was a series and now I'm trapped.

Started the book today and so hooked already!

It all starts with a text:
Please, Wylie, I need your help.

Wylie hasn‘t heard from Cassie in over a week, but Cassie‘s in trouble, so Wylie decides to save her best friend.

Instead of telling Wylie where she is, Cassie sends cryptic clues. Jasper shows up saying Cassie sent him to help. Trusting the guy who sent Cassie off the rails doesn‘t feel right, but Wylie has no choice but to ignore her gut instinct and go with him.
