pickThis was an unusual read. There were some parts I had a hard time understanding, but it also seemed to fit with the nonsense of Wonderland. It was interesting to see it from the perspective of a grown Alice instead of a child. Overall I would definitely recommend this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

pickThe Alice in Wonderland book of the Twisted Tales series. I really liked this one. It starts with an older Alice who thinks Wonderland was a dream from childhood. When she develops the pictures she takes of various people in the "real" world, she suddenly starts to see images of their Wonderland counterparts. Then she discovers that she can only reach Wonderland seemingly while dreaming. She is the only one who can save it, ?

Okay, here's what I'm thinking folks... since no one appears to be hosting a swap, maybe I host one next month to celebrate my birthday!
One thing I have always found annoying about swaps is having to wait until a particular day to open it... forget that... with this one, you get to open it when you receive it. Because after all, it's your Unbirthday.

-Alice's decisions thus far have been wise. So far, she's been exploring and wandering around without getting herself into too much mischief. But there are certain decisions with which I disagree. I believe some of her judgments were not quite reasonable or well-considered. Hopefully, she improves as the story progresses.
Fiction: In another place/ time, how would the story change? Where else could the story take place?
-Yes, the novel would be different if the plot was set in a different location. Alice's travels in Wonderland are the subject of this novel. In order for this narrative to happen, it had to take place in Wonderland. If the location was altered, the plot would no longer make sense in my opinion. Therefore this story wouldn't make sense anywhere else

Summary:
bailedGot to chapter 10 but could not finish. I was enjoying it! But kept putting off reading and realized that if I attempted to push through I was going to put myself in a reading slump. Feel encouraged to try again when I‘m in a different headspace / mood.
panWay too long and drawn out. Finished with a resounding MEH feeling. Many better books in this series.
pickOf the twisted tales this one is definitely my favourite. I loved returning to Wonderland and the authors take on it. But I do think it was a little longer than it needed to be at just over 500 pages.

pick4/5 for this fairytale retelling! I loved going back to Wonderland! Seeing what it would be like for Alice to go back older was so cool! I also enjoyed seeing what happened to Alice after Wonderland! She is such an awesome character. All the other characters from Wonderland were also fun to see again. If you love Alice, you should check this out.
