Tagged was best of the week.
I read six books, three of my May #ReadYourKindle numbers, one of my #SeriesLove24 authors and May‘s #BookedinTime #BiblicalFiction choice. A good reading week for me.

Thanks for the tag @Eggs
1. Getting my first library card when I was 5 or 6 yrs.
2. The library book store and semi-annual book sale, thrift stores, and little free libraries.
3. A Line of Grace for the #BookedInTime reading challenge

I was going to read Mary, Called Magdalene by Margaret George but its size made me change my mind. I just happened across this on Libby. A short novella read by Meryl Streep imagines a different Mary than the one we think we know. 4 🌟

Starting this for May #BookedInTime biblical fiction
Since it's 5 novellas I'm not sure if I'm going to read it straight through or break it up with some other reading 🤷🏻♀️
#BookReport and #WeeklyForecast combo post
I wasn‘t a very productive reader this week. I only finished one audiobook. I barely made progress on any of my already in progress books and didn‘t even start my one #BookedInTime from last week. Even worse, the next book for book club has been chosen so now I have *two* up next books. #SlowReaderProblems.

I enjoyed the author's take on the passage from the Bible about the woman with the issue of blood. (See above) It's a heart-wrenching story of faith and redemption. Characters and plot are well developed. I would definitely recommend it.

Continuing my Saramago reads with this biblical tale. A satire that follows Cain after his fall from grace. I think it is helpful to know the old testament to understand the story here and see the critique he is making, but if you are just looking for a romp through that time this is also a good one for that. Cain is an interesting character to follow and the book is darkly humourous and thought provoking
