Tagged was best of the week.

I read six books, three of my May #ReadYourKindle numbers, one of my #SeriesLove24 authors and May‘s #BookedinTime #BiblicalFiction choice. A good reading week for me.

CBee I started Prophet Song a couple of weeks ago but it didn‘t grab me. I should try again as I don‘t know if it was the right time to start it 🤷‍♀️ 14h

Deblovestoread @cbee. It took a bit for me to get into, partly because I didn‘t read the blurb so spent some time trying to figure out what year it was all taking place. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 13h
CBee @Deblovestoread I read the description and it looks right up my alley so, maybe I‘ll try again at some point 🤷‍♀️ 7h

Thanks for the tag @Eggs

1. Getting my first library card when I was 5 or 6 yrs.

2. The library book store and semi-annual book sale, thrift stores, and little free libraries.

3. A Line of Grace for the #BookedInTime reading challenge

#BookedinTime #BiblicalFiction

I was going to read Mary, Called Magdalene by Margaret George but its size made me change my mind. I just happened across this on Libby. A short novella read by Meryl Streep imagines a different Mary than the one we think we know. 4 🌟

Starting this for May #BookedInTime biblical fiction

Since it's 5 novellas I'm not sure if I'm going to read it straight through or break it up with some other reading 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cuilin You got this 💪 Looks great. 1w
bookandbedandtea I read these years ago and remember being impressed with the way the author filled in the stories for these women. I especially liked Tamar's and Rahab's stories. 1w
TheBookgeekFrau @bookandbedandtea I'm enjoying it more than I thought. And yes, the author's storytelling is very impressive given the scraps she had to work with! 1w

#BookReport and #WeeklyForecast combo post

I wasn‘t a very productive reader this week. I only finished one audiobook. I barely made progress on any of my already in progress books and didn‘t even start my one #BookedInTime from last week. Even worse, the next book for book club has been chosen so now I have *two* up next books. #SlowReaderProblems.

#BookedInTime Biblical fiction May 2024
@cuilin @dabbe
4🌟

I enjoyed the author's take on the passage from the Bible about the woman with the issue of blood. (See above) It's a heart-wrenching story of faith and redemption. Characters and plot are well developed. I would definitely recommend it.

#bookspin#bookedintime #YearOfSaramago
Continuing my Saramago reads with this biblical tale. A satire that follows Cain after his fall from grace. I think it is helpful to know the old testament to understand the story here and see the critique he is making, but if you are just looking for a romp through that time this is also a good one for that. Cain is an interesting character to follow and the book is darkly humourous and thought provoking

TheAromaofBooks Great progress!! 1w
Cuilin Oh wow, sounds great ✅🎉 I haven‘t started the May prompt yet. 1w
