Amiable Ugh! I had rotator-cuff surgery about 10 years ago. Do you have a recliner? That was the most comfortable place to sleep for the first 8 weeks afterwards. 5d

JenlovesJT47 Ugh I‘m sorry! I have labral tears in both shoulders (and possibly my hip I dislocated 😣) so I know it‘s rough. Wishing you a successful surgery with many excellent books to keep you company afterwards. Dunno what I would have done all these years if I hadn‘t been working at an ortho doctors‘ office since I was 13 😆 (my mom works there still!!). 5d

Amiable @TheBookHippie @dabbe I commandeered my husband‘s for the duration, to his dismay. 😄 I think it was a La-Z Boy also. We don‘t have it anymore. Which arm are you doing? Make sure that you can reach the lever with your good side! 😬 5d

Amiable Oh, also make sure to have a selection of big shirts that button up the front because you won‘t be putting your arm through a sleeve for a while. 5d

JenlovesJT47 @dabbe thanks for asking! A dislocation didn‘t show on x-rays so I had to get an MRI. Seeing the doc next week. He thinks I might have a labral tear in my hip. That would be my luck for sure! Crutches kill me so I‘ve altered my gait & walk on my tiptoes on that side. Not fun. Sorry, that was probably more information than you were looking for! 😅 5d

Amiable And ask the surgeon when you can start PT —as soon as possible to avoid frozen shoulder if you can. Ask about passive PT where the therapist moves your slack arm around for you. 5d

Chrissyreadit ugh! No Bueno!!! I was able to use PT only for mine (thankful no surgery)and agree good PT is huge! hope your pain is not too much 5d

Bookwormjillk Oh no! I agree with @Amiable on the rehab. It‘s torture but helpful torture. My other suggestion is to get yourself a back scratcher. Hope you can get it taken care of soon! 5d

kspenmoll Oh no, I am so sorry! I have shoulder surgery that entailed more than rotator cuff, & I was “older so recovery longer” ( plus it was on right side; I am right handed) but now I am so much better! Cleaned up arthritis, bone in bone while in there as well. You can do it! 2d

I gave up on this series being good back in volume 2, but I feel like I've dedicated so much time to reading it that it would be a waste to just. Stop. queerbookreader @silentrequiem Have you read this series? It's got three trade volumes and this one tied in CW2 and it was horrible and ruined everything. The only not terrible part was that Thompson at least had the decency to end it with them not fighting anymore and making up. So at least the sexist trope of catfighting women was only perpetuated for......part of the book? :/ 8y

queerbookreader @silentrequiem Kind of hard to answer. So many of my fav series and characters were involved so I've had to power through a few CW2 trades, but only barely. This one doesn't get involved in it until the second half of v2, which is the third and last trade in the series before it ended or got cancelled or whatever. I really did enjoy it!!!!!! Like other than the cw2 tie in 8y

queerbookreader @silentrequiem I think it's worth reading because cw2 only messes with a few issues, and there's this character called Singularity who's introduced that is an absolute DELIGHT. And lady team up. Which is always good. So I vote yes but if you don't want to read the end of this v2 with the cw2 tie in, I can just summarize what happens for you 8y

queerbookreader @silentrequiem I totally skipped Captain Marvel's trade with it, and I skipped Ms. Marvel's trade. Haven't read hers since v5. I suffered through Spider Woman v2 which I don't recommend, and........Patsy Walker v3 mentions it. But it's more about her struggling over Jen. I do highly recommend reading She Hulk's new series tho 8y

I've begun to read Deadpool: World's Greatest v6 which is his CW2 tie in, but I've heard his involvement is brief so I'll take a chance. I am just REALLY looking forward to all of these characters and series moving on from CW2 and pretending it didn't happen. I would love that. 8y

Also currently reading! The author collects photos of men in intimate portraits back in Victorian age. When I look at this book I get all the happy gay feelz, but back then there was this acceptable concept of extreme passion, sometimes even romantic, within same-sex relationships. Like "I am so overwhelmed with love and appreciation for my dearest darling friend whom I love with my entire being" kind of severe dramatic passion. #nohomotho #right?
