So this wasn't my favourite book in the series, but I'm not a big fan of serial killer thrillers because I find that the protagonists have to rely more on luck or coincidence to figure out who the killer is. Still a good read that brings the religious and political turmoil of Tudor England to life - and I always love a clever protagonist!
Ebook on sale today $1.99.
This is one of my fave series by one of my fave authors
There‘s some Litten out there who happens to be sooo sweet and thoughtful—she takes time out of her days and sends boxes full of books...just because!! Thank you so much, @EadieB ... you‘re really beyond nice!!

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Great series and the more you read, the more you want!Takes place during the Tudor era. This plot revolved around a serial killer who kills according to the prophecies in Revelations from the Bible. Sansom is an excellent writer and his books are all serious page-turners. Great historical detail. The characters are very believable. Start with book one, Dissolution, read in order. Highly recommend to those who like historical mysteries.

I‘m looking forward to reading this book which is the 4th book in the series. I‘m sure that I will be referring to this map from time to time.
Day 17 - #favoritebookishmap #septinbooks18 #revelation #cjsansom
The first in the Shardlake series that I haven‘t enjoyed. It was very grisly and I didn‘t really like the way Barak and Tamasin were written in this book. If Book 5 is similar, I‘ll be passing on future volumes.
May already?! Guess it‘s time for my #MayTBR - I‘ve got a couple leftover from April, a few more to help me in my endeavours to #readmyowndamnbooks, a #litsybuddyread, my May #girlybookclub book, a book EDP really wants to talk about and the four books that correspond to season two of A Series of Unfortunate events since I like to reread each book as I finish the episodes. Looks like it‘s time to get off Litsy and go read.
My turn to have a go at #fivefordinner I struggled so in the end I narrowed my choices to favourite living British authors.
Thanks to @ju.ca.no for tagging me. I tag @Izai.Amorim, @LeahBergen, @batsy @MrBook and @RealLifeReading
Fourth book in the Shardlake series, sees our lawyer in the time of Henry VIII drawn by the death of a friend into the investigation of a serial killer on the lose in a Tudor London wracked by religious fundamentalism and intolerance. As enjoyable as the first three as a historical setting but slightly disappointing that I picked the killer by the half way point and our protagonist made several inexplicable errors during the course of the case.
Set in the Tudor era London, 'Revelation' is a thriller in which a serial-killer is killing people in accordance with the prophecies contained in the book of revelation. It follows the hunchbacked lawyer Matthew Shardlake as he sets about looking for the killer. The plot is gripping and the novel is quite a page-turner. The social tensions of the post-reformation England is beautifully captured in the book.
Very engaging and exciting murder mystery taking place during Tudor England. A serial killer is on the loose and Shardlake is sent to catch him. Historical accurate and entertaining. 9/10

#bestsidekick
My nomination for Best Sidekick goes to Jack Barak from C.J. Sansom's Dissolution series. And if you disagreed with him (or with me) Barak would just say, "You a@&*hole!" ?
Medieval attorney-detective Shardlake must solve a serial killer's sick interpretation of Revelations or die himself all during tumultuous times in Tudor England. Best Shardlake book I've read and I've read them all now (yes, out of order although I do recommend reading them in order).
So sad. This is my last unread Shardlake mystery. Mr Sansom, please write more quickly.
