Treated myself to a new book today!! 🙌🏼🎀☕️
My #tbr for the next weeks. Already started at least 7 of them (and a few books NOT on The List 😬) I will soon listen to The First 7 books of the Seven Sisters series before I finally will listen to Atlas. The shadow Sister is my favorite so far. 😊
#3 in this series, set in London. Star goes to a bookshop in London to try to find her lost family. Not as historical as book 2 but a nice cozy story. Cece is now on the move so for sure I have to read book 4.
Starting with the 3rd book in my re-read of the series. I'm enjoying it even more than the 1st time.

🏆 Favourite: The Shadow Sister
5✨
Ever since the start of this series, I've been anticipating Star's story. And I was not disappointed. Out of the 3 I've read so far, this is definitely my favourite!
Not only did I fall in love with Star, but even more so with Flora. Both their stories resonated close to my heart.
I obviously had to go buy the next 2 books, and am saving up for the rest. I'm ao curious about CeCe, I'm not sure I like her currently.
Finished this one a few minutes ago. I love this series. Star‘s story is complicated but wonderful. I love the accents by the narrator, especially Star‘s French one. Having Beatrix Potter involved was great, too. I am happy to have this long audiobook finished before diving in to #Scarathlon2022 in October. #90 #BookSpin #BFC22 #AlmostAChunkster at 513 pages #SERIES2022 #SuperSeptember
This book did have its sweet moments that I enjoyed and the drama was quite engaging, but there were times where I felt the writer could have dwelled in a little more in the story.
The historical aspects were interesting but it didn‘t give out that shock-value it was supposed to provide. And when anything big happened, the characters‘s reactions kind of toned down the feelings you had towards that event. Irritated me quite a bit.
“Nothing can stay the same forever”
This line felt like a jolt into reality and it just made me pause for a minute or so. You just never know when a good piece of advice comes your way, and it just feels special when it surprises you through a book❤️.
My fav of the series so far! I loved the Edwardian setting and such an interesting plot. At over 700 pages, it‘s a chunkster but never dragged. An easy, comforting read! 😊 💫
The third in the series by Lucinda Riley. I think this might be my favourite one (Yes, I read them slightly out of order!) I just loved the combination of English history and beautiful settings of grand old houses mixed with a touch of romance and self discovery. I also love how it further pads out the larger story of Pa Salt and his 7 adopted daughters and how they each discover their own truths as they explore their origins.
After not reading anything for two crazy months (!) I‘m diving into this. Number three in a series I have loved so far.
This is the 3rd book in Lucinda Riley's the Seven Sisters series. So far this has been my favourite book in the series, although, I will admit, I absolutely loooove this series. This book takes us on a journey into old English history with a wonderful royal mix. Throw in a classic English bookstore, and you can not help but fall in love with this story 💜
Starting on the 3rd book in Lucinda Riley's The Seven Sisters series. I am in 💜 with this series!
This is the last book I read that was partially set in a bookstore. In this case it was a store which specialised in rare editions of books. And the connection to the Lake District and other parts of the English countryside

The 3rd book in a series of 7 - I loves these stories! The first book is my favorite so far, but this one was really good, too.
Six girls were adopted by Pa Salt who left each one of them clues about their birthplaces that they received after he died. But is he really dead??
Mystery, romance, contemporary fiction and historical fiction are in each of these books. I have book 4 on my nightstand and am excited to continue this journey.
Started my next #audiobook this morning. Should keep me busy for the next couple of weeks
This is the third book in the Seven Sisters series I listened to the first couple of books in the series late last year
Another incredible book from the series. Pages just flew away effortlessly. From all the sisters, Star is the one that caught my attention with her quietness and her attachment to another sister.
I‘m not familiar with historical fiction, amazed by how the writer connects the fictional and the real historical characters into the story. There are some hints that raise readers‘ questions about a hidden truth of an important character in the series.
What are you reading (and eating) this weekend? Husband prepared garlic butter tuscan shrimp with creamy sauce filled with garlic, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes. Still have not read book 2 in the seven sisters series, but I thought might as well put these chunksters into good use with some photo-op with husband‘s culinary creations.
Some parts of the book seemed unnecessarily long - I did want the story to get going at a faster pace sometimes, but at the same time, I enjoyed reading. The author does a great job of blending historical facts with compelling and believable fiction.
Although, characters were over dramatic, whiny, self indulgent, even childish, but the book is good, catchy.
I'm looking forward to continuing reading this series as the sisters travel the globe.
Today's #libraryhaul. The tagged book is one I've tried to get the last three times I visited the library, but it was always checked out. Today I snatched it off the recently returned shelf. Finally!
Sleepless night, picked up this book and couldn't stop reading!!! Loved it!
This is the 3rd book in the series and the best so far. After her adoptive father dies Star uses the clue he leaves her and sets out to find her real family. ❤️💜❤️💜
It took me a few weeks but I finally finished this! I ADORE THIS SERIES. This third installment was fantastic, I fell in love with Star and related to her so much. Can't wait for #4 (coming this fall!!)
The main mystery behind the central story is starting to build up some suspense; I think I can already start to imagine what's going on...
Solid 4⭐
#aprilbookshowers #firstlineofcurrentread day 5!
Have a few reads going on right now at the same time but this was the best first sentence out of all of them ✌
@RealLifeReading
Finally started this big boy this weekend! About 250 pages in already yayyy! (#3 in the Seven Sisters series)
I hit 10,000 today! Thank you!😍❤🙌 It looks like such a bigger number!
I am currently listening to The Shadow Sister, which is the third book in the excellent Seven Sisters Series by Lucinda Riley. This book is about the very quiet and restrained sister, Star. The back story involves connection with Beatrix Potter. I do love Lucinda Riley's writing and have enjoyed every one of her books I have read - this is my fifth.
This is the 3rd book in the seven sisters series by Lucinda Riley
Exciting new book! I can't even right now 😱😱 I still have to read book 2 though! 😅Anybody else reading this series?
