It was my 5-years-#litsyversary this week. And it‘s weird to think how different everything - my life, the world - was back then. But it‘s also kind of cool, because there is one thing that hasn‘t changed and that‘s me reading and loving books.

This one was a cozy mystery that makes you crave cookies. I saw most of the plot-twists coming before they happened. But there are cookie-recipes in the book and that is a new favourite of mine.

Read my first Hannah Swensen mystery during #Scarathlon & loved it. I added this cozy series to my #SeriesLove2023 list. I enjoyed this one just as much. Hannah is a great character & the supporting cast of characters are fun too.

3✨ Hannah is modeling as a star baker in the first ever Dessert Bake off in Lake Eden. When one of the judges, who no one is really a fan of, is murdered it puts everyone on edge. I guessed who it was a few chapters before it was revealed and will have to try the cookie recipes in this second book too. #scarathon #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick I also did word search on this: 512*10+15 (genre)+1 =5,136 😱🥰

I devoured this on a plane ride pretty much in one sitting. It was cute and fun, though I‘ll admit I liked it less than the first one as I think Hannah came off meaner and more judgemental in this book which didn‘t fit the cosy mystery vibe that well for me. Still, felt it had to be a pick since I read it in about 3 hours and enjoyed!

It‘s our last day in Estonia and we‘re just sitting in a cafe reading for a bit before heading to the airport. I decided to go right on to the second Hannah Swenson book as I wanted something easy, comforting and page turning to read on the plane. Maybe I feel like this one is more mean spirited than the first one a little? But not so much I‘m not enjoying it

Going back to listening to a comfort read to get through a long work day! Happy Tuesday everyone!

Finished. Enjoyable read. Not sure if I will read the entire series but it was a good distraction. If you like baking this book has 7 recipes for you. There is also a index to help you out.

Half way in hoping to finish tonight. Great relaxing read. I guess this is why it is called a cozy mystery.

As the evening approaches, I am planning to settle down with Hannah Swenson in her second adventure. Still need to get around to baking my Chocolate chip cookie murder recipe but forging ahead.

Not my favorite book, but that's ok. I am not a huge fan of mysteries.

A lovely diversionary audio that I finished on my commute in. I figured out the killer earlier than the last book but still at least 3/4 in- I‘d call that a win!

The lack of technology in these books makes me laugh given it was 06-07. But then I think about where my rural community was at the time and it‘s fairly accurate. On a related note- any of you thinking about going into criminal justice or changing your career path to it: don‘t. Lol.

I am really glad that I asked my sister for this author's name over the summer. They're quick reads that leave the same feel good feelings other people get from Hallmark movies. (For me at least.). And there's that little touch of home feel in there too. My family lives in a small city in Minnesota and the setting for these books is small town Minnesota.

This series is definitely my "I need a quick pick me up murder mystery."

I listened to the audio, and overall, I‘d say it was ok. To be honest, nothing was super-appealing about this one, and I think I‘ll probably stop the series here. Nothing was really wrong with it, either, but just not appealing enough for me to keep going.

This was a cute and light read. All the recipes made me hungry. :)

Don't you love these books? I've read then out of order but i always think they're fun!

Loving this fun little murder mystery series. It's not all light and fluffy but it has a nice amount of fun and humour to make it more on the cozy side. 3🌟

Finished both these murder mysteries this weekend. They're not going to win any awards for plot or realism, but they're a pretty solid palate cleanser and they have some fun recipes.

Book one of 2017 is done! This was a fun, easy first read. On to the next!

i used to read this series years ago and quite enjoyed them until i couldn't take the live triangle anymore. Was surprised to find a tv series based on this series. Stumbled on it completely by accident yesterday. might watch a few more (until the triangle drives me crazy again)

I've been enjoying this cozy mystery series. I mean, you can't read all serious stuff all the time. At least I can't. The writing is not he best ever, but it's good enough for some escapist fluff.

Little gems like that in the middle of a mystery. I know that feeling!

How about these cozies I got at the Recycled Reader for $1 each? They are my palate cleansers after something too heavy. Gotta get more...
