I loved Demetrios‘ I‘ll Meet You There, so I had to pick this one up. Another good YA novel (with truths from author‘s life) taking place during Junior and Senior years of high school when Grace, who comes from a not so good family with a mother who is lost and a step dad that‘s verbally abusive, meets her “savior” of a bf. She too loses herself to a manipulative, and harmful dude. Good warning for teens. The female friendships are sweet. 3.5⭐️

This book was well done. The message that this book sends out was well done and I am just very just at a lost for words.

A book from my #newyearwhodis list picked by @thewallflower0707. This story hits pretty close to home. I had my share of a toxic relationship. I couldn't tell anyone, even my parents, because they didn't approve of it as he was of a different race. I'm just glad I manage to get out of it. Full review & a short writeup of my experience on my blog.

Some parts could be trimmed a little, if not I'd give it👍🏼👍🏼

I wish for every sold Twilight or Fifty Shades of Grey book, someone would read this. Bad Romance is about Grace who finds herself in an abusive relationship and it‘s exactly as complicated and frustrating and bitter as you imagine it is. The cover is beautiful and Demetrios style is flawless.

Such a great book all around. Even the cover is amazing. I was hooked from the first chapter. And this book has such an important message. I hope girls in Grace‘s situation can find the courage and strength to get help from someone.

A terrible, yet powerful, story about emotionally, psychologically abusive relationships. Although there were some small issues I had with the book, overall I thought it was a strong message against these types of familial and romantic relationships and I think it treated the victims of these relationships with respect.

Lady Gaga will be in my head the whole time.

This book felt like I was reading a combination of two of my relationships and two of my best friends and I desperately wish this book had existed when we were in high school. I hope this book helps people in similar situations. This quote was one in particular that I identified with because it's a pattern I'm still struggling to break. #YALitsy

Ok. So I gave this a second chance. And I think I had issues with this for more... personal reasons.

I still find that Grace's voice was whiney in the beginning but as the novel continued she became more developed and I found my heart breaking alongside her.

Oh god. I can't. I can't force myself to read this anymore. I tried, I really did. I made it to page 49 before I said no. Which depresses the crap out of me because I loved her other books, especially the Dark Caravans series, but this was just awful.

It like a giant F.U. letter to the guy so everything is a "remember this?" or "i don't know yet but..." and I can't. It's annoying and causes me to become too detached. :(

I'm halfway through Bad Romance and it's so well written and a fantastic read. It's such a hard topic to write about and the author is doing a superb job. I'm really looking forward to finishing this one and seeing how it ends.

This was a beautiful and emotional book about the subtleties of abusive relationships. Demetrios did an excellent job capturing Grace's spirit as it slowly goes out as she struggles to figure out her feelings. I loved it and I am hugging my 17 YO self.

Book 58. How fucked is it that so many of us can relate to this. This shouldn't be a universal experience. My 'bad romance' was 15 years ago and while I'm 'over it' I'm still fucked up from it. #chooseyourself

This book is one of the best books I have read this year 😍 It seriously hit me on a personal level and is about such an important topic. I wish as a teen I had had a book like this when I was going through my own bad romance. I can't recommend this one enough!

Well this one made me ugly cry. That's really all I have to say. A very well done, beautifully written story all about abusive relationships and coming to terms with uncovering someone's true self.

This was, at times, a difficult book to read, but it was so so good. Every emotion experienced within the pages of this book seemed raw and fresh. Like wounds that won't quite heal. There were times I wanted to scream and others when my intake of breath was surely audible. I think this book is very important and should be included in every high school library. From the amazing cover to the storyline, this was a fabulous book.❤️
