Second time read for me so I can approach the entire series. Still doesn‘t hold a candle to Fourth Wing IMO, but it‘s fine! Not a huge Fae fan, and I find they are so vague in this series that I feel like I‘m an oblivious dunce who tried to sneak into a private event. I hope the rest of the books have more complex character and relationship development.

It's Carnival weekend and we've been on the carnival parade. The time when I finally get to dress up as my favourite fantasy character. I haven't found the bat wings. But I did find spring coloured wings and fairy ears. So, this weekend I'm a fairy from the Spring Court. It matters that I belong to the world of ACOTAR.🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️
Carnival is the time to chase away winter and bring in spring.

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR The end of the book was definitely intense. I‘ve got the hots for Rhys now - I gotta admit. He fought for Feyre and tried to help her - more so than Tamlin I think. But Feyre, after her trauma - is with Tamlin. In love and HFN. Let‘s face it - she is not ok with what happened. This girl is scarred. She‘ll need to heal. ⬇️

Finally all caught up for #LittensLoveRomance - I‘ve been hearing about this series for years & I‘m glad I can mark it off my list. I don‘t read a ton of fantasy & was pleasantly surprised by this Beauty & The Beast retelling. Looking forward to buddy reading the rest of the series. Thanks for hosting @StayCurious ! 4⭐️

She didn‘t want to see him as decent (and why would she, he‘s kind of a jerk) but maybe he has people and things to protect as well. Everyone in Prythian is under a terrible weight and they need the witch queen dead. ⬇️

I‘m not much of a fantasy/romantasy girl, but I did enjoy this! With all the hype surrounding this series, I‘m glad I finally read it because I was so curious about all the hype. I think it lived up to it! Great world-building, plenty of tension, and some spice! I‘d definitely be up to continuing the series.

What is he really up to? I‘m disappointed that Tamlin seems to have just given up. He needs to do something - I don‘t like how submissive he‘s become. As we head intro this next task, will Feyre survive? Or need Rhys‘ costly help once more?

My Friday night. I was so tired all week and last night was the same. I stayed awake long enough to finish ACOTAR ahead of the #littensloveromance buddy read. I was starting to see too many spoiler reels on FB ( how does meta know what I‘m reading? 🤔) I quite like this romantasy rabbit hole I‘ve gone down and I think we are reading the second one together too ❤️❤️🎉

We finally learn what‘s actually happening in Prythian - and it all comes down to one evil lady. Who happens to have the hots for Tamlin. Feyre knows she has to try to save him, and everyone else. Or die trying. ⬇️

Love love love this book. The fantasy aspects are amazing and the character development is on point.

I had heard so many things about this series so was keen to read the first book as part of #litsylovesromance.
Magical lands, violence, adventure, beasts, faerie‘s - there was so much going on and that doesn‘t include the romance. The relationship between Tamlin and Feyre was swoon worthy .
A seductive, adventure that the author detailed perfectly. I can‘t wait to read the next one.

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.25,26,27: A lot happened in these chapters but mainly we‘ll focus on Rhysand, the dark High Lord linked to the *she* we‘ve been afraid of. Yeah, he seems like a jerk but he knows what‘s going on. Tamlin is still keeping things from Feyre - to protect her or himself and his realm? Can he really send her home? Will she leave her newfound home now that she finally feels comfortable there? She might not have a choice. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.22,23,24: Feyre is definitely liking and trusting Tamlin more - enough to show him her paintings, and to dress to impress. And he shows her what his world is really like. I feel better knowing that his court is not completely abandoned as it appeared to be. There are many more fairies there than Feyre could see. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.19,20,21: We learn more about the Faerie world and about the concept of Mates. Could Tamlin and Feyre be destined or is it not in the cards? But things are starting to go well between Feyre and Tamlin, that is until Feyre goes against his orders and sneaks out to the Fire Njght. Feyre and her curiosity! She lands in such dangerous situations. ⬇️

I picked up this book for a Litsy read along and it was so good I couldn‘t just read 2 chapters a day. I now know why Romantasy is such a popular new genre. It‘s romance with a thrilling, action packed B-storyline. This story felt like a beauty and the beast spin off, which made me enjoy it more. It also had a little Psyche trials of proving her love of Eros to Aphrodite spin too. I love that particular Greek myth. So, all in all I‘d recommend it!

They aren‘t all the vicious creatures she was warned about - although there do seem to be a lot of dangers in The Spring Court. And who is this terrible lady faerie we keep hearing whispers about? If this were my book, I‘d be luxuriating in baths, food and the library and just avoiding all that danger- it‘d be very boring haha. But that‘s not who Feyre is. She likes to test boundaries. She‘s still working for her family even when she‘s away from them. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.10,11,12: we learn more about Tamlin-that he‘s a great warrior-and Prythian, and catch glimpses of conversations that tell us things are not great in Fae-land. Tamlin and Lucien are worried and Feyre hates being in the dark. She‘s brave for digging and asking the questions she does. I wouldn‘t have the guts. But where does she fit in? Is there another reason Tamlin brought her there? Why is he running out of time?

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.7-9: Mmm Feyre gets to eat. I‘m here for it - let‘s fatten this poor girl up. Feyre tries to plan a way to escape. She disses Tamlin when he offers her a tour (brave or dumb) and seeks out the foxy Lucien to get him to plead her case with Tamlin. She should have just played nice with Tamlin in hopes of doing it herself - but what do I know. But Lucien sees right through her plan and basically puts a stop to it. ⬇️

And so I have begun the ACOTAR series I keep being told about. Am I going to like it?

Of course, she‘s desperate to escape and return to her family - who, let‘s face it, don‘t stand a chance without her. I‘d be soaking in this vacation if I were her…⬇️

I hate her family - I feel bad that Feyre (pronounced Fair-ruh) is taking care of them and feels bound to them and bound to her terrible existence. They‘re useless. I said it. But A promise is a promise and Feyre made a serious one to her mother - ⬇️

I didn't find this the addictive, compulsive page turner everyone said it was. I found it VERY tedious in the middle but it picked up when Rhysand was introduced. I hope the rest of the series picks up as this was just a Beauty and the Beast retelling 🤣

I am, however, getting strange vibes from Tamlin... so I will finish the series and hope it grips me!

Kinda slow but overall good. I‘m interested enough to keep going in the series thanks to everyone saying the next books are better.

Can‘t believe I waited so long to read this!!! I haven‘t read a book this fast in a looonnngggg time and now I must have the second one!! If you love fantasy, this is a must read. It‘s been around for a long time but if you have been putting it off, don‘t wait! As I wait for book two to arrive I‘m trying to choose one of the books in the background. My reading bug is back! 📚

I started this on my Kindle awhile ago, and for some reason, it just didn‘t grab me right away - I must not have been in the mood for it. I know it‘s such a beloved series, so I thought I would give it another try with the dramatized adaptation audiobooks. I can understand the appeal and the potential - I imagine the rest of the books in the series will only get better now that the story is set up. 🎧

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and started this series. Full of tropes - unreasonably feisty heroine, good at hunting with a bow, pretty enough but fairly ordinary except for her feistiness, is sentenced to fairyland a la Beauty and the Beast. Incredibly hot male fairies find her irresistibly attractive. She has to save the fairy realm against impossible odds using cunning and bravery. The fresh writing made it all enjoyable. On to book 2!

Let‘s see if anyone can guess the book!
