Only half way into this book but I'm loving it, I'll definitely continue the series. Also it really made me hungry for some Asian cuisine, so today I picked up some from the local grocery store and made it dinner.. Dumplings are so 😋😋😋
This was a fun cozy that took place just outside of Cleveland. The mystery was good and of course it made me hungry. I liked the characters, and will probably read more of this series.
Had this loaded on my Kindle for ages, so thanks for #diversecozy for getting me to finally read it. I enjoyed this foodie cozy; Lana, her best friend Megan, pug Kikko (short for Kikkoman as in soy sauce), family & their restaurant. The whodunnit of the murder of a business plaza owner is a bit predictable but it‘s a cozy & a fun look at the Asian community around Cleveland. I will definitely keep reading this series.

New job offer accepted & now the drug test. In my car in the parking lot reading the tagged book for #diversecozy & sucking down my Starbucks & bottle of water & trying to find the sweet spot between “OMG I have to go enough to fill this cup!” & “Line, I don‘t care about any line, you let me go NOW or it‘s gonna be too late!” #bladderpressures 😬😳😱🤣
True life: I ordered shrimp shumai for this photo 🤣
#diversecozy
This was really fun! The characters were very relatable. I loved Lana & Megan. I liked the backdrop, the twists & I would continue the series. 10/10 would eat at Ho-Lee Noodles
🍜
I enjoyed the first entry in this series. Lana and her friends and family are fun, if careless, and the mystery was interesting. The park across the street has what‘s left of what was once, 100s of years ago, a huge long leaf pine forest. Yesterday and the day before, they did a prescribed burn, hence all the black ground. #diversecozy #audiowalk
I‘m listening to this for #diversecozy — it had been my nighttime book, but I listened to it on my walk today. I like it so far as I really like the main character, Lana. This is my first time reading this series, and I‘ll continue with it. #audiowalk
This had a little too much tell and not enough show for me.
I‘ve never read a “cozy mystery” before, but I believe this would fall into that category. I really enjoyed it! I would certainly continue this series!
I have been sick so I have fallen behind on #Scarathlon2022 and #trappedonanisland 😩 I did have a ton of time to read while sick but not much energy for anything else so I will be getting my points to @Clwojick for #TeamSlaughter today!
I have a ton of points and books to update.
I did finish Death by Dumpling and have started The Third Twin for #trappedonanisland @StayCurious @aperfectmjk
Not bad for a cozy romance. The characters were interesting and the sleuthing was not too ridiculous. This is an #lmpbc pick and my fav part is reading other people's comments.
1. Scotland
2. I‘ll put it in the comments.
3. Other than that whole murder thing, cozy mysteries make me feel at home.

Ok this one is so cute and definitely a favourite of mine among “cozy mystery” books!❤️ #lmpbc
Run, Hide, Repeat has arrived! Once I finish it I will be sending both off!😊
I‘ve also decided to increase my goal this year to 200!😱
The last few days have been a whirlwind of preparation for my upcoming hip surgery on Thursday. The procedure is arthroscopic and outpatient, but the recovery is rather intense. I had the left side done a few years ago and now it‘s time for the right; so I know both what I‘m in for and what I‘m up against. Thankfully my little emotional support fuzzballs know that something‘s up and are putting in overtime. #huey #catsoflitsy
I‘m not formally doing #RoadTripUSA2022 but will happily play along with this fun tag!
1. First book in the Noodle Shop Mystery series, set in the suburbs of Cleveland, and part of my ongoing self-proclaimed #52mysteries challenge.
2. I‘m going to put in another plug for the Christmas Story house, also in Cleveland.

My last read of 2021. I don't normally read cozy mysteries, but I enjoyed this. Held my attention without demanding too much of it. #lmpbc
A fun cozy mystery! Lana Lee works at her family‘s Chinese restaurant and when their landlord turns up dead, everyone is a suspect…including her. But luckily there is a cute detective and lots of colorful characters.
Loved Arsenic and Adobo so much that I'm starting another cozy food mystery! 🍜🥠
I hope I like it just as much and it's not too similar to the last book!
My tentative July TBR.
I really suck at sticking to a TBR... I am such a mood reader. But I'm gonna try my best and hope my library holds come in in a timely manner! 🤞🤞
I enjoyed this a lot more than the second book. I actually read this in a day because it was too hot to do anything.
The relationships were really interesting and I felt more drawn in by the characters.
Very light reading and I'll carry in with the series.

Soooo far out of my bloody, gruesome, sadistic mystery comfort zone. I bought a few of these on a whim when I was craving Chinese food. 🤷🏻♀️ It was a nice, light palate cleanser during a frantic week. I enjoyed learning about the various members of the community and actually thought that was more central than “who done it?” Will definitely continue.👍🏼 #StartASeries #SeriesRead2021
5/5 for the first in the Noodle Shop Mysteries! I just loved this one! Lana was such a great character. I loved all the neighborhood characters. The mystery was interesting. I cannot wait to read more by this author.
Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Definitely a series I will read more of. Typical cozy mystery. Set in an Asian-centric plaza in Ohio. Typical cozy mystery and a easy audio read when I wasn‘t feeling too hot and didn‘t really want to concentrate on anything. No knitting during this one.

Round up for March 2021! Lots of graphic novels and several of them I read digitally on the ipad - which was a completely new experience.
Not doing so hot on my goal of reading mostly my own books in 2021, but we're only three months in and I should have time to catch up.
Favorite Book: Death By Dumpling by Vivien Chen
Least Favorite Book: There were all pretty crackerjack! :)

I really enjoy this cozy misery. Had a nice story. I think I will continue the series... But this year I challenge myself to read #thedarktower series... But I may read them in between for a light read.

😍😍😍😍😍 Sharon, you made my day! I REALLY can‘t wait to read this book (it‘s actually the one I got my match too!) And where did you even find the gummies - they‘re adorable! I love everything about this package. Now excuse me while I dive into some breakfast chocolate 🍫
The Noodle Shop series is one that I've had recommended to me multiple times and so read it I did. Our heroine Lana Lee is self-deprecating and clever, exasperated with family, and a champion for her neighborhood. She's definitely someone I'd like to hang out with again. And fortunately for me, Vivien Chien is highly prolific (2 books a year!) so I've got plenty of material to work with.
I could not put this one down. It‘s been a while since I laughed out loud reading. Lana is refreshing and relatable in a I can‘t figure out my life type of way. I also enjoyed that I was reminded of the suspects in a checklist format so I could mentally add and check them off as new information arose. It may have been because of this that I figured out several scenarios before they came to light later. Overall, I really liked this book. #LMPBC
I struggled in the beginning, but by the end, I was thoroughly charmed by this cozy mystery. Lana Lee quits her job & goes to work in her parents‘ restaurant to pay the bills. When the owner of the plaza where the restaurant is located dies from take out that Lana delivers, she & the chef become the prime suspects. Per the cozy code, Lana investigates despite being warned off by a handsome 😍 detective. I‘ll definitely read more of the series.
Hey everyone! I just realized I do not have the mailing list for our group. 😬I may have deleted it accidentally when clearing our old emails 😪Can one of you forward me the email please 😭
Starting this today. It may make my hungry. 😋
I want to challenge myself this week but we'll see how I do!
#currentlyreading #spookyreads
Truly loved the first in this series, Death by Dumpling. Vivien Chen did the cozy mystety genre justice. Her setting was well written, the characters enjoyable, and the mystery was multi-faceted. I am diving into the second next!!! 😊
I believe this is my 9th #CozyintheSun I will have to go back and check. Will edit if wrong.
