I am so bummed! This version of Dracula was in the free books under Audible channels, but now channels is GONE as an option from my app. 🤨.
I‘m very disappointed! ☹️

Oh yeah!!! Already getting the stack ready for October!!!! #TeamStoker we got this one in the bag everyone! Let's DO THIS!!!! 👻💪🤓📖🎃
On a side note, Sweeney Todd has been replaced by The Hatching. I realized that this is more of a slasher book then a monster book after I took the picture 🤦🏻♀️😂
#Scarathlon @Clwojick
#TeamStoker this is our buddy read for the month of October! We only have one week left until the end of the month so make sure to put those library copies on hold! I will be posting a discussion schedule soon.

I spent the last twenty minutes going down a rabbit hole of Dracula covers. I think this Vintage Classic one is my favorite. It conjures up the feeling and themes of the book perfectly for me.
This has been a fun week! Jump on in and play if you haven‘t already. Thanks again to @BarbaraBB for the tag.
There is a clever way to see a book. Mauhwawawawa
What does one read right before Easter?! Just this vampire classic! 🧛🏼♂️ 😂 I needed a dark read after a few romancey books! The cover is sooo broody 🤣
Maybe it's just me, but I could not get through this book. Maybe I also just liked the idea of saying I read Dracula, but this was just hard to get through for me. I kept losing interest though there were some good parts. I gave it a 3 on Goodreads. Anyone else have difficulty staying with it?
As a huge monster fan ( I have Cthulhu tattooed on my arm and everything ) I was really looking forward to finally reading Dracula! Unfortunately I just couldn't get into it. The book was so slow paced that it hardly kept my interest. I was also underwhelmed by Dracula himself, I was expecting the badass prince of darkness and instead was left with a frail man with a bad mustache.
#science - way to true. Psychology is often called a pseudo science by the "real" sciences, because psychologist generally can't say anything about causality. Because something can only be true if you can say something about cause and effect. Right...

2. Grammatical mistakes bug me even though I know I make them all the time.
4. My dad actually ripped a page out of a book I was reading once, on purpose. He didn't know it was the part that told you what and who did it. I lived in Alaska! It took 3 months to find another library with a copy that would lend it.
1. Dracula, Frankenstein‘s monster would be too messy of an eater for me.
2. That‘s tough. I think I could deal better with a tear.3. Visually
4. Dog-ear as much as it would pain me.
5. Serial Killer.

Loved it
#lookwhatyoumademedo Juniper Books!! 😩 I got a message about a 20% off sale on their scary book sets and the excitement overcame me 😬 They're so pretty though!

This might be the creepiest Dracula cover I've ever seen. #thirstythursday #setineasterneurope #uncannyoctober #spookyoctober
New library display! We changed it up this time with some horror DVDs. What‘s your favorite horror book-to-film adaptations?
Who knew #Dracula would make a great musical? Apparently Bruno Pelletier. I haven't seen it staged, but love the soundtrack. (And at left, my well-worn copy of the novel.) #monstermadness2017 @LibrarianRyan
Help!!!!! I can't decide which one!!! 😳Thanks in advance!

I am all in a sea of wonders. I doubt; I fear; I think strange things, which I dare not confess to my own soul.
My creativity is pretty low today, so I'm going the easy way with very pretty books for today's #Septembowie prompt. These books always make me think "#ohyouprettythings" ?
The book that got me hooked into gothic lit... Dracula! One of my all time favourite novels that I really enjoyed reading this year. It totally changes what we know as the pop culture idea of Dracula. I highly recommend this to anyone- the language i not hard to understand and the multiple perspectives really bring the story together.

I read this back in high school. It was the first classic book I choose to read. It is a fantastic story and well written from the perspective of journals and letters.
The first few chapters were a bit intense, especially when he encounters Dracula in his coffin, but then it goes back in time and shifts to different narrators and to a different place. #firstreads
Settling into an afternoon on the porch with an old friend to welcome fall with a creepy classic.
October photo challenge. This one is about the characters we love and hate. Starts Saturday. Remember to use the #octphotochallenge and tag me. Why, because I'm going to give away some swag. What? Don't know yet. But it will be good. Criteria, what ever you want as long as it matches that days theme. And yes late submissions are okay if you get a few days behind (or else I'd be a hypocrite) 🤓
Highest standard in paranormal literature and Gothic style writing.
"Why can't they let a girl marry three men, or as many as want her, and save all this trouble?"
The Morris Book Shop in Lexington Kentucky in my pick for the #getindie hashtag. Where can I always find the version of the book I want? This place. Where can I always find a great selection of clothbound classics? That's right. This place. I can always easily spend $50 every visit. And unfortunately if this place doesn't sell it will be closed. #Favoritefemalescharacter It's impossible to decide, but I'm going with Mia (and NOT the crappy movie version Mia, the original badass female lead Mia!)
The original. The best.
