Ivy moves to a small town after her divorce, and learns that her new home was the house of the town's own Mr. and Mrs. Clause. Ivy finds a letter in the pocket of the santa suit left in the house that leads her to uncover a small mystery and connect with her community. It's a short and sweet Christmas read.

Basically, it was a Hallmark movie. I think I would have enjoyed reading it more than listening to it. I found the narrator slightly annoying, so that took away some of my enjoyment of the book.
Heartwarming, cute, and short holiday read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
It‘s hard to pick a favorite from the #winterreadathon but this one was sweet and touching!

Thank you for my Christmas gift! I actually opened it on Christmas morning but last weekend was so busy for me, then I worked all week, so this is my chance to post. Love it! ❤🎄

This was a quick, fun read about the magic of Christmas! 🎄🎅🤶🎄 Ivy buys a rural farmhouse sight unseen after she and her husband divorce and she decides to leave Atlanta. Even though she doesn't know anyone when she arrives, she quickly makes friends and sees how everyone in town helps one another.

One last Christmas book before ushering in the new year. I don't usually read a lot of seasonal books, but this year it's exactly what I needed! #coffeeandabook
Thank you so much for the gifts Misty! I love Mary Kay Andrews, so this will be a fun addition to my holiday reading! And the air freshener smells so good- your daughter is so talented!

This was a charming story with a bit of mystery. It had a little bit of romance, friendship building, finding lost lived one's, and reconnecting to Christmas. The ending tied everything up well. It was an enjoyable book.

When newly divorced Ivy buys an old farmhouse in a small town, she finds an old Santa suit from previous owners with an intriguing note from a child in the suit‘s pocket…this has everything: a warm community, good will, family reunification, and a fresh look at romance. Well done!

After moving into an old farm house in a small town, Ivy discovers an old Santa suit and a note to from a young girl asking Santa to bring her father back from the war. As Ivy settles in and becomes part of rhe community, she searches for the little girl and falls for the real estate agent next door. I liked the premise, but the romance felt rushed and Ivy felt a bit one dimensional. Also harmful and unnecessary dieting / weight talk.
Young Divorcée cashes out on her life in Atlanta to start over in small town North Carolina with her dog, Pumpkin. First matter of business was to put all her funds into the sight unseen purchase of a farmhouse. Of course, that comes with issues, but that‘s okay, in Hallmark Christmas movie style she finds instant friends and love - and solves a mystery no one knew existed.
Long drives for work mean lots of #audio listening! This one was cute and sentimental, but just okay for me. #WinterReadathon #BookspinBingo @Andrew65 @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES
Absolutely perfect. Didn't try to bite off more than a novella can chew, and I just loved how Ivy blew into Tarburton like a whirlwind and made everything better (and got a love interest in the process). #christmasromance #christmasfiction
Such a cute little Christmas romance with Hallmark vibes 🎄♥️
I‘m currently reading The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews and it‘s such a cute adorable romance so far! I‘m absolutely loving it! It warms your heart, and also Christmas is my favorite holiday. I highly recommend this book!
It's been awhile since MKA published a Christmas Book so I bought it when it first came out. Saved it until Christmas. Loved it's small town, old house fixer upper with Christmas decorations setting. Enjoyable read but not overly memorable. Ending was a bit twee. Can't see it becoming a yearly tradition.
Of 3 Christmas books by MKA Blue Christmas is my favorite. Not so much for story but for descriptions of decorations & recipes extras.🎅🏻
3.5⭐️ For a Christmas book, it was a cute story. I don‘t think that one could ingratiate yourself into a small community that quickly, at least I don‘t think I could. But it was a nice little story nonetheless. #2021 #fiction #bookreview #bookstagram #christmasstories #averymerryreadathon #wintergames2021 #mistletoemaniacs +41pts
The Santa Suit was a nice, sweet Christmas story. It was also a short read, which was nice. To escape her divorce, Ivy buys an old farmhouse and discovers a Santa suit in the closet and an old note that leads her to make friends in her new town. I only got in a short walk today because it started raining. #audiowalk
I think this story would work really well as a Hallmark movie but as a book it fell a bit flat for me. I really liked the characters and setting but the premise was a bit unrealistic & the plot resolved too neatly. 🎄🎄🎄
It was OK book about nothing 🙂 Like a Hallmark holiday movie - predictable and full of good cheer 😊
What a perfect book for this time of the year! I‘ll admit, it wasn‘t very “deep”. It was what you‘d expect for a Christmas story. This is the first year that I decided to read seasonal moves, and I‘m glad that I did. It really helps put me in the Chris spirit. This particular story was very magical. I‘d love to find and old home and a little town like the one described in the story. Merry Christmas, all!!
This was the first thing that popped into my head for the #festivephotochallenge prompt Santa hat. I want to read this one, but am still waiting on my library hold to come in.😆🎅🏼🎄📖 #wintergames #mistletoenaniacs @Clwojick
I‘ve heard good things about this one so I had to grab it on Black Friday. It‘s gonna be a quick read I can tell already.
This was okay, but wow so many words for #WGWordSearch @StayCurious #teamgamesleighers #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
This was an ARC I read a couple of months ago. Cute story and a great choice for the #WinterGames2021 @StayCurious #TeamGameSleighers #FestivePhotoChallenge
This is my first Christmas read of 2021. A short and sweet, magical tale. It‘s like a Hallmark movie in book form.
I'm going to try #BookSpin with @TheAromaofBooks ! I see it all over Litsy and it looks pretty fun. It will be my first time and A good excuse to hopefully read a book or two off of my TBR once I get past my "mandatory reads" for bookclubs ❤
This is my last pre-holiday read! It is a much more expected romance with the storyline trope of a woman, freshly single, moving to a small (NC) town to restart her life. And as with most small town romances, there are quirky townspeople, blue-collar love interests, and a bit of holiday magic. #romantsy
Current read.

Whatcha reading??
Starting a cozy read on this chilly friday!!
The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews… my 1st holiday book of the season. I love holiday books and this one is so sweet and inspiring! Is a story about starting over, a story of coming full circle. Bravery, hope hope, peace. When the present meets the past and the past comes back to the present. When the magic of the holiday season brings it all together with an ancient but magical santa suit, a child's heartfelt note, the (cont in comments)
Went to Target to pick up a prescription and walked out with a nice Christmas mini #bookhaul! I have no idea how that happened. 🤔😂
