These are just a sample of the “storyland” themed characters through out the place. The mascot of this place was Captain Snuff (not seen here). Whoever built this like 40 years ago was definitely snuffing something!!! 🤨

It's a little more of a prequel for the Beast, and not quite the Disney beginning, but the story travels from India to France and includes a lot of detail about the cultures it approaches. 5y

March Fairyloot arrived! This is their 2 year anniversary box. Tbh, I'm a bit underwhelmed. Shall post in comments under spoiler my favourite and least fave items.

laurieluna Despite not having read the series, my fave item is the Shadowhunters Scarf. Big and soft! My least favourite is the GoT hot chocolate. It just seems so random. Doesn't even have a special flavour. Drinking it now and it's bland. The cork bunting is cute, but I doubt I'll use it due to sharp pins and little people in the house. That will probably be put aside incase I think a litten would like it. 6y

julesG My daughter was happy to claim the button and bookmark. I laughed about the soap, it's my birthday next week, thought it was apt. The scarf is nice. On the whole I agree, it's getting repetitive and I will not renew my subscription either. 6y

laurieluna @Wanderingwithwords next month has 2 items they've never had before. But I don't think there will be many more things they can include that they haven't before. There's only so much you can put into a box that size I suppose. 6y

laurieluna @julesG oh what day is your birthday? 🎉 I do like the soap, I just know there are many other businesses out there and they seem to use the same ones again and again. I've had 7 candles in 8 boxes. I only have so much shelf space for things like that. My favourite item of all was the Blue's Tea in the November box. I actually bought some of Bookish Teas other teas because of it. 6y

Sophoclessweetheart Yeah. I guess so. I always found when I had it that the items theme was the problem moreso than the items themselves. They were always the same series/character theme with very little variation and always a series/character is either never read or didn‘t like. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think they should match the items to the book that‘s included. 6y

laurieluna @Wanderingwithwords yeah, or include more fandoms. There's so much potential with things like this, especially when the books are fantasy. Their fairy theme for January has so much potential, but ended up being a Sarah J Maas box. As much as I like the ACOTAR series, I haven't read anything else by her. 6y

julesG @Wanderingwithwords Completely agree to the unused potential aspect. I think this is a case of not seeing the wood for all the trees. They might just not be aware of the 'laneness' of the boxes. That said, two more for me, then I might try a different one. 6y

julesG My birthday is the 31st. So next Saturday. Since my ex will ship off the kids to his parents', I would be all alone, so one of my dear friends sent me train tickets. I'll be spending that day in Hamburg with her. 😀 She has promised to take me to a bookstore or two. 😁😁 6y

laurieluna @lyradora oooh. Dragons for me! I love bookmarks so a really nice one of a Dragon, like Ink and Wonders woodmarks. I love edibles so maybe a chilli chocolate? Fiery! And a nice spiced tea. I don't mind edibles as long as they're unique and fit the theme. I like household things that are practical so a tea towel with an illustration of smaug on. A little dragon plushie for the cutes. I think this all would have fit fairyloots Nov book! (Tagged)

laurieluna @kezzlou85 I am looking forward to April's box! It has an Ink and Wonder and StellaBookishArt items in and they're always good. I think if you only get the occasional box they're amazing, but I've had 8 now and getting very samey. Xx 6y

I have a subscription to one called read and relax it's much cheaper but you really do pay for what you get because the added gifts are not the best. 6y

laurieluna @kezzlou85 yeah! I do recommend having a look at Book Box Club. Theres a couple of their boxes I wish I had got. Into Dystopia and Under The Sea looked great. Think it's a case of just going with whatever theme takes your fancy each month. 😊 6y

Sophoclessweetheart Ahhh!! Fun question. I think theme would be historical fiction or maybe mystery. I‘d love candles (I adore candles!), tea, bookmarks, stationary, pins, maybe jewellery. I‘d particularly adore an Agatha Christie themed box or Jane Austen or WWII fiction with replica props of rations cards or something. 💛 6y

julesG @Elle_Skeldon The decisive factor for me was/is postage to Germany. Some boxes charge nearly as much for the postage as for the box. It is justified, but just too much for me. So consider postage. The items in the box are worth the monetary amount of the box, but postage can make it so much more expensive. 6y

mrsmarch @Jenshootsweddings @AmyG I got it at my local grocery store, but it‘s from the wider known Irish Fairy Door Company. There‘s a contract you make with your fairy: they move in, you maintain the outside and keep pets away, they‘ll clean the inside. I‘ll probably buy some fairy sized yard decor and make it a habit to change things up every now and then. (edited) 6y

I cancelled for next month as I haven't read any of the books it's themed on, so it's always best to see what theme each month is. This one was 'Otherworlds' and has lotr, game of thrones, peter pan and ACOMAF themed gifts, with a norther lights art print and chapter samples from 2 books! 😍 for the price it's amazing! 7y
