#LittensLoveSJM #TOG Book 2 Ch 22-24: some big happenings in these chapters. Celaena and Chaol‘s relationship seems to be flourishing- although it must remain secret. But they‘ve basically agreed to run away together! Poor Dorian when he finds out. And Celaena and Nehemia fought about their views on what must be done - Nehemia wants her to stand and fight and Celaena doesn‘t want to risk herself and those she loves. ⬇️

StayCurious And who can blame her - we‘ve seen what the king does to those who stand up to him. Not everyone is strong enough to be a martyr. Dorian seeks answers from the crone at the carnival. She wasn‘t very helpful imo. Just creepy. 6d

Littlewolf1 I‘m loving hearing all the theories. I wish I could read this for the first time again, but I am enjoying the second round. This fight between Celeana and Nehemia is intense. I can understand where both girls are coming from. And Chaol and Celeana‘s rendezvous‘s are cute. 5d

TheAromaofBooks @mcctrish - LITERALLY what I was thinking when I was reading this - this is like a synopsis of all the actually interesting parts of this story that we weren't allowed to know about for some reason 😂 7mo

peanutnine @TheAromaofBooks I definitely think it would have been more effective if we had learned what Emily read/saw earlier on and then revealed what it all meant at the end. Explaining it away immediately after revealing the mystery made it so much less shocking as a reader 7mo

I think if we knew what Emily did - that there was a half-decayed body in a hidden room - EVERYTHING would have been way creepier than just “something is there“ - and then in the end we get the big reveal about it not being a real body. As it is it was just kind of - it's a body! PSYCH! The end. lol 7mo

julieclair I think she‘s annoyed he‘s not paying any attention to her, and that‘s why she‘s mystified as to why everyone else likes him. She doesn‘t understand how he could possibly be a good person if he‘s not fawning over her, lol! But I do wonder what his background story is. Is he hiding something bad, or will it turn out to be a pitiful tale that turns Sarah‘s heart? 3y

I‘ve shied away from her books because they sound a bit gruesome, but I‘m looking forward to seeing what she writes in this regard. IMHO it‘s long overdue, and it will ring kind of hollow if contemporary mystery writers don‘t address the current situation in future books. #justsaying
