About to start the next book for the #TravelingBookKeepers! I‘ve loved every anthology so far in this series, so I‘m excited!

If you recall, a couple weeks ago I presented my 15 year old homeschool kiddo with a stack of books to choose as our next buddy read & this won out. He devoured this! Typically our buddy reads stretch out over 1-2 months. He finished this in less than a week & negotiated for extra LA hrs to keep reading 😂
I‘m happy to say I found it just as addictive as he did & the ending had us both in deep discussions! Very much looking forward to book 2!
This is a dystopian murder mystery which takes place on an island & home to the last humans on Earth. Between the AI character, multi POV format, and short chapters - this was an engaging mystery to unravel.
This book comes out May 2024! My buddy read group gave it 3.5-4 ⭐️
💭 Do you like books featuring AI characters? If so lmk some book recommendations for more bc I‘m into it!

I devoured Bride this week! While it was a little predictable and more on the basic side of fantasy 😂 I couldn‘t put it down! It was soooo cute & now I‘m craving more wolf romance in my life. Also I had to immediately reread Fangs, which is a quick graphic novel about a vampire +werewolf romance that I love! Have you read either of these? Or what book has your attention this week?
Homeschooling my 9th grade son & this year we decided to buddy read books together as part of our language arts curriculum. We‘ve read True Biz, Marrow Thieves, and just finished Devil in the Dark Water. I present him with a varied stack (this one today!) & he reads the blurbs then selects one he vibes with. Which would you pick from this stack?
This book was so good! I love YA books that deal with big life issues bc that‘s what my teen years looked like. This book covers themes of mental health (bipolar), grief of losing an immediate family member, parental infidelity, & alcoholism all the while sharing such a heartwarming story of a friends to romance arc for the characters. Absolutely brilliant, highly recommend. What‘s the last book you read & LOVED? #youngadult #contemporaryfiction
This book!!! Ahhhh so damn good! Also idc if all her interviews say only the 2 ending poems were about MGK…. You cannot convince me that this book isn‘t 95% all about MGK. The receipts are too many between couple interviews + deets shared publicly about their life. I listened to the audio then read this copy a 2nd time and was pleasantly surprised to see beautiful illustration in it too!! A QUICK but riveting read.
I adored this book & jumping right into the sequel. If you‘re looking for a wintery fantasy with a cute tiny community & creepy yet cute faerie creatures—check this one out. Set in Norway.
What books with a winter setting have you enjoyed recently?

Im not the target audience for this one, as my biggest complaint is that it was younger YA and not as captivating to me. But it‘s a cute romance with highlights on Indian culture. I enjoyed to dual POV format and thought a lot of it was cute, just not a favorite. What new releases have you read lately?
Quan♥️did not disappoint! 🥵 🌶️That said, Anna, I had a hard time with. While I understood many of her quirks & struggles due 2 being on the autism spectrum, her actual personality got on my nerves & I loathed her family

5 ⭐️! This is written as a play & takes place in the trap room with all of Shakespeare‘s teen girls who met their tragic downfall. They each tell their own story in a creative and engaging format (written in verse). This book covers feministic themes and was such a fun one to read. I‘m not overly familiar with Shakespeare or a fan, and still loved this book!
If you know my reading tastes, this lovely book won‘t be a surprise to you 😂 YA Fantasy with an enemies to lovers trope is my jam & this did not disappoint.
Even though this book itself is gorgeous, I did listen to this one on audio (it was amazing). It opens with a young prince showing an affinity for prophecy magic as he draws image after image of a girl with no eyes. Who is she, and why does he think they MUST save her? 5 ⭐️
Absolutely loved this dazzling new fantasy novel. Magic is outlawed, but the rich always can find what they need. For the right price you can buy the kiss of a Nightbird and their powers will be yours for the night. A story about found family, sisterhood, magical abilities, and overcoming a religious sect which seeks to control. A lovely read!
Fans of Bridgerton would ♥️ this! Follow 4 ladies as they approach their dating season in 1910 Chicago. I loved getting 4 POVs from Black women &felt transported to another time.Expect scandal, romantic scenes, &lots of rebellion from the youngsters-falling for those their parents wish they wouldn‘t🤭I didn‘t realize this was a series however, &would rec waiting until more release bc the ending does come abruptly w/o closing up a single romance😑
Meet my favorite book thus far of 2023!!! I devoured this audiobook ARC from netgalley and have been in the worst (best?) reading slump since. It‘s a fantasy novel with WWI atmosphere. Told in dual POVs about a girl who is a journalist/war correspondent, her rival, and a magical element with a secret pen pal so to speak. Slow burn romance that will squeeze your heart. Elegant prose. And epistolary elements! Comes out 4/4!
Read this for my Instagram book club this month and loved it!! A murder mystery where a principal has been shot and three students are the key suspects. Set in an all boys school in DC, this was a fun whodunnit YA book. Not only do we get POVs from all the suspects but there‘s lots of other chapters from the perspective of other students, teachers, community members, and more. Engaging format and an addictive read. Couldn‘t put it down
This mark is almost pure perfection for this 📖But instead of a Princess, we get a prince
The 👺 has been slain. Arek (against his wishes) agrees to be🤴for an hr or so, as they free the rightful heir. But his 1 hr gig becomes indefinite when they realize the Princess is☠️Since he accepted the👑, Arek entered a magical contract. “Til death do us part” w/ some extra requirements like, finding a 💕 . Pitched as a fantasy romcom, it 💯 delivered
I just finished this book & had so much fun reading it! If you‘re craving a book w/ a “challenge” in the plot, this one did not disappoint. Each Sunbearer trial was unique & exciting. My only complaint was that there were a TON of characters introduced in the beginning w/ the history, the gods, & then all their kids. I had to write out a list to use as a quick reference bc I was lost. But once I had that, I sailed through it. LGBTQ+ rep
Still reminiscing about meeting TJ Klune last week!! He was the absolute sweetest human and I cannot wait to read the tagged book, coming out next year! Have you read any of his books??
Hey Litsy fam! I run this super fun, intimate book group called The Book Keepers Community. We only open membership twice a year to give ppl time to join events & get to know one another.

This cup was on point today. Feeling a little stressed so I cuddled up with the tagged book and LOVED it! Immediately put me in a better mood and helped turn the night around. It features werewolves, spirits, and classic teen voices and experiences with a little paranormal thrown in. I loved the LGBTQ rep (trans M/M) and the disability rep (autoimmune disease). My only complaint is I wish it had more color instead of gray scale illustrations
Absolutely beautiful!! I loved the plot, the characters, & the illustrations + color scheme was gorgeous. The story follows a young girl struggling w/ her family‘s & classmates bias of good hair vs bad hair. She dreams of embracing her natural curls. After facing bullies at school & ridicule from her family, she is left feeling hopeless until her Tia steps in. I love the msg of family & how the main character learns to stand proud in her choices.
I loved this book!! It reminded me of Transformers but in the best possible way 😂 the main character Zetian was unapologetically herself and set fully on revenge. Paired with a fierce prisoner, Shishin, (aka my new book boyfriend) she is determined to survive a world designed to kill her. The ending was pretty epic and I‘m looking forward to the next book!
Here‘s the 🫖
I absolutely love this book! I read an early copy last fall & currently in the middle of a reread for my book club on Instagram since we‘re discussing it Friday. I love when books do these fun designs on the case and I honestly believe this book is just as beautiful on the inside as out - so I approve any judging a book based on cover in this event 😂
Sabaa Tahir's Ember in the Ashes series is one of my favorites, so I was eager to read her next novel and more so intrigued that the genre was Contemporary. She made the transition of genres flawlessly. The characters and teens were incredibly raw and authentic to me. Their experiences were gritty and messy. The prose inserted throughout was stunning and I was on an emotional rollercoaster the entire time.
Finally got some shelving for our library we were renovating! I‘m so in love!! How do you guys organize your books?
I went with genre. But if I had multiple shelves of the same genre I grouped them as TBR or Read 😂
My final wrap up for #bookkeepersreadathon!
I finished 3 books & made a lot of progress on my other two! Can‘t wait to do it again 😊
Forgot to post my update from yesterday! I‘ll finish up some reading tonight (maybe another book) to close out my readathon! #bookkeepersreadathon
This book was such an experience and twisty hahaha! If you‘re looking for a fast paced immersive read check it out! A not so future world where DNA tests can find your soul mate. Follow 5 individuals as they learn who their perfect match is.
Loved this graphic novel! A story about finding your identity and a coming of age story of a young teen. Huda is such an authentic teen voice and I absolutely loved this. I truly hope this author continues the series bc I want more!
Today was a great day for me! Decided to DNF Saint X but then started The One on audiobook & loving it so far. I made it 20% into my beta read & to part 2 of Daughter of the Moongoddess. Tomorrow may not be as successful bc I am working, but I‘ll still try to squeeze some pages in! #BookKeepersReadathon
I made it about 35% into this thriller book and was bored. The way the story was narrated made it hard to connect with any of the characters and it was overly wordy imo. A slow burn of a thriller that wasn‘t capturing my interest. I looked up spoilers for how it ended and feel good about my decision to bail 😂 #bookkeepersreadathon
I‘m doing an impromptu readathon Monday -Wednesday if anyone wants to join me use the tag #BookKeepersReadathon ! Trying to catch up on some book club reads & library holds while the hubs is gone for a work conference 😊 this is my tentative TBR
If you‘ve read Adrienne‘s YA books, her first adult novel is starkly different but still contains her signature touches of story telling. This book was a slower paced read for me as the story is unraveling mysteries of the past that haunts the island. Hints of magic are a strong undercurrent, as well as familial secrets, & an island town that sticks together. Told from an array of POVs & bounce b/t present day & the past. Haunting & atmospheric.

It answers a lot of questions & highlights what all the community entails. But you can expect book clubs, book swaps, READING RETREATS, meet ups and more. ❤️ enrollment is open until April 30
I loved this book. It‘s a novel in verse about 2 girls who are best friends that have turned into something a bit more. First loves, toxic relationships, and beautiful prose - I loved it all. This tarot spread appears within the story and I couldn‘t resist included it with the photo ❤️❤️❤️ this book comes out April 5th . If you preorder then you can get 6 art prints with quotes from the novel. Check the authors IG for details
How do you feel about cussing in books? I for one find it hilarious if done in a way that‘s true to the character.
Loving this book so far. I watched a panel with Margot and she shared that she has ADHD and wanted to put the reader inside of the brain of her ADHD main character by utilizing the use of footnotes. So far I‘m loving the quirky format. Also the design of this book is absolutely beautiful.
@Pogue TY so much for this fun swap pkg! I‘ve already opened the JoeJoes & YUM!! The vampire book sounds hilarious & I‘ve never heard of it! Gods of Jade was on my TBR 😍 The fridge poetry is super cool & I think it‘s going to be a big hit around our house 😂 I‘ve never heard of this game, but we absolutely love games in our house! TY for all the items & putting together a fun pkg for me! Happy new year!

Loved this new Children‘s book! Deja has lots of questions regarding the logistics of how Santa could possibly be real & visit city kids. Thus, her family and community help her by explaining their answers to her inquiries. The illustrations were absolutely beautiful and captured the Christmas spirit! Highly recommend!
@mklong @LazyDays @WanderingBookaneer I‘ll be mailing this tomorrow! #lmpbc
