“Just be yourself”
This book would be useful if they‘re students in your class who feel left out or are struggling making new friends. This can be a gateway to forming new friendships!

You Will Be My Friend by Peter Brown published in 2011 follows a young bear named Lucille who is in need of a friend. Lucille ventures into the lush forest and encounters many critters but cannot find the perfect match of a friend. Eventually a kind flamingo flies by and instantly connects with Lucille. This can be a great lesson for children that the right people for us don‘t always come into our lives right away, but when we are least expecting

The story You Will Be My Friend! By Peter Brown was a cute one. It‘s a MF book about a bear named Lucy who decides she is going to go out and make a new friend. It depicts her hunt for her new friend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzMZMYdfrFQ is a cute video that can be played in the classroom. I would use ESOL strategy 20, and list some important words on the board for the students.

I admit to having read this book a time or two. . Peter Brown and his books are just awesome. This book is no exception. A bear is determined ed make friends. But how do you make friends when everyone is so different from you? This book has heart, it has comedy, and it has fun illustrations. A good book to read at bedtime, for the next 166 days. (or how ever often your children request it.) #LitsyAtoZ
And in that moment hearing you talk to a random stranger about books, I knew you'd be okay in anything you do. My friend, you'll be okay no matter what you do. ❤
