Reread before the next one. I'm getting tired of the romantic relationships going nowhere, however, the books are hilarious and the dialogue is awesome, so I continue reading. Also, zombies 😆

Reports of zombies roaming the town. Then Diesel shows up. There is bound to be a supernatural element when he‘s around. This was a fun book with Stephanie having to evade zombies while working as a bounty hunter. The supernatural part was very light.

My dog has a tough life. 😂

Another fun Stephanie Plum book complete with zombies, house gnomes, and Ethel. And with Lulu and Grandma, what more do you need? Oh, that‘s right, a 3rd hot man. The mysterious Diesel shows up again. I wish I had Stephanie‘s luck with men!

I‘m 8 books away from my goal of 100 books for the year and a whole long weekend with no plans, so I‘m all in for this weekend‘s #24B4Monday #readathon. Currently reading The Witch Elm, so I‘m hoping to finish that, read some graphic novels I‘ve been meaning to read and then make a nice dent in Doctor Zhivago. I always use the stopwatch for readathons, but I‘m going to try the countdown timer instead this time, so we‘ll see how that goes! 💁🏼‍♀️

BeansPage You can do this! 😃 6y
Notafraidofwords Fun 👋 6y
Andrew65 That‘s a good approach. Good luck with the Readathon and getting to 100 books. 6y

This one was a little bit out there for me, but I did have a few laugh out loud moments. Lula never fails to disappoint me; I think she makes this series for me.

Stephanie and her friends are always funny. But it's the same thing over and over again. I need her to make a decision on a guy. I need some progression in the storyline. But, Evanovich still comes up with crazy scenarios for Grandma, Lula, and even Stephanie and it keeps me coming back for more.

Dedicated Stephanie Plum fans will be on board for the latest looney adventures that include zombies and a menacing boa constrictor. This edition's car explosion has to be the most creative/horrific ever. Stephanie does enjoy nice encounters with Ranger and Morelli, the two men in her life. 25 will be here before we know it with more excitement from Lula & Grandma and an inevitable funeral viewing...

“Cupcake, YOU‘RE my problem.” vs. “You‘re involved, so I‘m involved.” - The difference between Morelli & Ranger

GlassAsDiamonds Omg is she STILL undecided between those two?!? (Couldn‘t get the books after an overseas move a few years ago but I swear the last one I read was 13 or so....HOW is that still going???). 7y
Christy2318 @glassasdiamonds Because the books are stuck in a time warp. The stories hit the same basic plot points & there is never character development or change. 7y
GlassAsDiamonds @Christy2318 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ How much time has actually passed between say the 14th and 24th book?? 7y
Christy2318 @glassasdiamonds In publishing time about 10 years. In Plum world, who knows. No one ever seems older & ages aren‘t given. References to people from previous books are fairly vague time wise. My best guess is the intent is for it to have been just a few years from 1 to 24. 7y
Christy2318 @glassofdiamonds Grafton took approach with Kinsey Millhone or keeping all the books in the mid 80s. The Plum books aren‘t like that as technology seems current but other parts of the book feels like it‘s still 1994. 7y

I know a lot of people have given up on this series but I still love it. Easy and fun reads. This one definitely wasn‘t my favorite but it‘s still cute.

Booknerd2 It‘s true, they have diminished somewhat but I still enjoy them. They‘re just fun and all the characters feel like family after 24 books. 😜😁 7y
Raemorales I call these books my brain candy, whenever I hit a book slump I pick one of these up and it makes me happy. 7y
Gina07 I have a few “brain candy” authors myself. You will usually find me reading some sort of mystery/thriller, but to chill out I go to Elin Hildebrand or Nancy Thayer who take my brain to a #nantucketsummer day. 😊🌞 7y

I love this series! Why? you might ask. They are always the same thing: Ranger -Morelli love triangle, Cars blowing up or being destroyed, and Lula and Grandma Mazur. I know when I read this series my mind can take a break, and I can just read and relax. I love to read this series between my serious or more mind blowing reads.

CarolynM I agree, you know what to expect and she delivers every time. I feel like some of them succeed more than others, but it may have more to do with my mood when I read them than the actual books. 7y
Austen_Nerd @CarolynM I agree😊 7y
Bookzombie @CarolynM @Austen_Nerd I agree. I really enjoy this series. I‘ve only read through book 14 though. However, I didn‘t like The In-Between-The-Numbers series as much. 7y
Austen_Nerd @Bookzombie True, the in-between-the -numbers seem to be away for her to explore what she might do with the series 7y

Another fun romp in to Stephanie Plum‘s world! Diesel came out of the “between the numbers” and “Lizzie and Diesel” series to drop in to this book. It was interesting to have all three of the guys involved in this one. I‘ve heard people both enjoy & really dislike that part of this book. I, personally, found it pretty in keeping with the series. It got me out of my slump (hopefully!), so yay!

Pt 2
This series... I love it. I don't want to love it as much as I do, but I can't help it. I started it when I was in high school and I've stuck with them ever since. Janet Evanovich never ceases to amaze with the new troubles Stephanie Plum can find herself in time and time again. The characters are all quite witty and lovable, even the bad guys. 5🌟

Pt 1
Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum's life is complicated. There's Joe Morelli, whom she loves and may possibly want to marry. Ranger, whom she occasionally works for and is incredibly attracted to. Then there's Diesel, who occasionally pops up out of nowhere for brief visits. Not to mention the zombies who want to harvest her brain. Will she and Lula, her partner be able to catch their crooks & keep their brains??

I'm tired & chances are high Peanut will be up a couple times during the night. But I want to read. I NEED to read. If I don't, I feel like I'll allow myself to slack & fall into a slump. Need to shake off the meh feelings & do something productive. I'm hoping that'll be easy to do with this book. This series is like one of my oldest friends. I slip back in with it without any problem, and Evanovich can generally make me laugh when I need it most.

vkois88 Is #emotionalreading a thing? If not, I feel like it should be. It could be like a self help type deal 7y

Another book finished in #24in48 readathon!!! I‘ve been able to finish 3 because they were quick reading books, they‘ve been ok but not good. Stephanie Plum can always be counted on to get into ridiculous situations with Lola & her Grandma and Morelli and Ranger can be counted on to get her out of them. This time its babysitting a boa constrictor & finding brain eating Zombies. Quick read. I just wish she‘d decide between Ranger & Morelli already!

Stephanie and her world never really changes. There's growth but it's at a molasses rate given how many installments there are. The past few books were just kind of ridiculous but this one...I don't know. It's like the ditzy got dialed back a little. The formula's the same but I enjoyed this more than the past several. If nothing else, you know what you're gonna get when you pick up a Stephanie Plum novel.
