I‘ve decided to use the #readyourebooks challenge in tandem with #roll100 since my roll100 list is so very long that ebooks that I bought because I was truly excited about them, and not just because they were on sale, are a bit buried. It was nice to go back through the list and pick out those much-anticipated titles that I‘ve been hoarding, languished forgotten on my kindle, haha. Let‘s gooo!

CBee So glad it can work for other challenges 😊 Hart and Mercy was 🔥 3mo

Finishing Pandora‘s Jar gave me the last prompt I needed for #52Books23 - #writtenbyacomedian - which I didn‘t know until I‘d already started it. So, hooray! I don‘t plan to do it again, but I‘m glad I did it this year. I tried a lot of new things and while I didn‘t like all of it (some of it confirmed genres I just don‘t like) it was good to stretch boundaries a bit.

I have been contemplating the challenges I want to participate in next year. Like many Littens I have so many neglected books on my own shelves that I always intend to get to and never quite do. So I decided to create my own challenge, 24 unread books pulled off my shelves that I intend to finish before the end of 2024. If anyone is interested in joining in, let me know. #24in2024

ChaoticMissAdventures I love this!!! I have so many unread books, I never really need a challenge to seek out more. 5mo
quietlycuriouskate Yes, please: count me in! 5mo
squirrelbrain I loved Flamingo! And Hotel Du Lac…. and Bonjour Tristesse… and and and….. 🤣 5mo

ChaoticMissAdventures I am going to see how much I can get through before New Year's before I make my list, but I am pretty sure I will randomly also have this one on m #24in24 5mo
Reggie Yes! I‘m in. Also, A Little Life? Get ready to 😭😭😭. And White Tears. I was listening to a podcast tonight where a woman raves about it and it made me want to read it. This all sounds great. 5mo
kspenmoll I would love to join in! I already plan to work on reading my TBR, #BOMT backlog 4mo
Jas16 @kspenmoll That is wonderful! Thrilled to have you on board! 4mo

Jas16 @ncsufoxes wonderful! So glad you are joining in! 4mo
julieclair I‘m in! I will make this list different than my #ReadOrDonate list, so I‘ll have even more incentive to read books I already own. Thanks for hosting this! 4mo
Jas16 @julieclair Awesome! Thrilled you are in! 4mo
OriginalCyn620 Oh, I need to do this! I‘d love to play! Need to make a list 🤔 4mo

AnnR Thanks for hosting! 👍📚 4mo
Lcsmcat I‘m late to the party, but I‘m in. I need to make a list, but I have so many more than 24 unread books on my shelves. . . 4mo
Jas16 @Lcsmcat Awesome! I have way more than 24 as well so I am really hoping to make a dent in them. 4mo
CarolynM What a great idea! I missed this when you posted it but I‘m on it now🙂 I‘ll make a stack and post it soon. 3mo
AnnR @Jas16 Question: Are we allowed to change our list of books at anytime during the year? I see 3 books on my list that probably will be problematic for me to get through my library now which is why I'm asking. If not, that's okay. I'll just skip them. (I should have stuck to listing all books I own.) 3mo
Jas16 @AnnR I think you can make it whatever you want. For me, this was about holding myself accountable to read specific books that have languishing on my shelves, along the lines of read what you own. If you want to be able to change titles or use it for books not already owned but that have been on your TBR for a long time- go for it ! 3mo
AnnR @Jas16 Thanks. 😊 I decided to redo my list, keeping most of my original books but replacing the library books. I'll post my updated book grid soon. 3mo
kspenmoll Late joining in but my bookspin is all TBR- this would help too. 3mo
Jas16 @kspenmoll Love a ready made list! Sounds perfect 3mo

Hello everyone!

Round 2 of the #AestheticallyMatched challenge is now open! This round is a BIG one, and has close to 400 images. I have created subfolders for those who would like to pick a specific “genre”, or you can pick and choose which images you‘d like to match a book with. If you want the mega challenge of doing all of them, you can find them in the “ALL PHOTOS” folder. Feel free to backdate to match with any 2022 reads. ⬇️

Clwojick There is no end date for this round, so if you want to keep going after 2022 is over I am totally okay with that! 💖 2y

Clwojick As always, this reading challenge is open to anyone, but i've only tagged those who were either playing along during the first round, or have expressed interest in the second round. 😃 2y
PageShifter I'll join :) 2y
tdrosebud @Clwojick Thanks for the printable collage DOC. Does this include the round 1 photos, or do you have a DOC made with the round 1 photos? If not I will just do some copy/paste work. I plan to do a separate journal for just this challenge and use some sticker photo paper. 2y

This months challenges have been a real challenge for me as I've started physio for a torn ligament. This means I am struggling to walk or do many basic activities, like showering, unaided.
However, I have taken to journaling a lot more frequently which is really helping my mental health and making me feel lighter. I used to do it a lot but fell out of love with it - I'm glad I'm doing it again
@wanderinglynn

wanderinglynn It‘s so hard when we have setbacks like an injury. It‘s awesome that you‘ve started journaling. 🙌🏻 I hope your recovery goes well. 💜 2y

February #Roll100

This month I plan to read The Tenth Muse. It looks really good and I‘ve already downloaded the audiobook!

I don‘t plan to read The Silvered Serpent because I just realized it‘s the second in the series, so I‘ll save it for later!

PuddleJumper You can swap out the series book for the first one if you want. That's what I'm planning on doing with a few of mine 2y

#BFCR3 #BookFitnessChallenge goals @wanderinglynn @Hestapleton @kspenmoll I‘ve decided in this round to really focus on mental health since I wasn‘t able to complete my physical goals last round. I thought of the things I want to work on that will make me feel accomplished each week rather than feel down on myself. If things go well, I will add in some physical goals.

bromeliad Cross stitch! I've been wanting to get back into that. I'm happy to see that on your self-care goals! ❤ 5y
Hufflepuffle These are brilliant goals! Good luck and positive vibes for round 3! 💜 5y
mcipher I love this! The mental health aspect is one we tend to overlook in these types of challenges, this is such a great twist! ♥️♥️ 5y

The challenge is simple, take a picture of your favourite #BookToMovie adaptation with the book and the film in the picture. Google images are totally fine.

I'm on the fence on this. I have to work all 3 days so I know I won't come anywhere near 24 hrs, but I do enjoy the readathons and seeing how close I can get. So, I guess I'm in!!

@TheReadingMermaid @Andrew65

BeansPage Remember hun it's not about hitting 24 hours. That is the ultimate and it's great if you make it to 24 hours but the true goal is just to read and have fun with your fellow readers. And I'm so glad you decided to join us this month. We love having you with us 💖🤗💖 5y
RamsFan1963 @TheReadingMermaid Thank you. It's the overachiever in me that strives to hit the goal everytime. I won't let the destination ruin the pleasures of the journey. 5y

Reading Challenges 2019-do you plan to do one? Two? Which are your favorites? I do read harder every year but always think about doing popsugar too. How about you? #readingchallenges #challengeyourself

WanderingBookaneer They are both intense in 2019. 5y
MirrorMask I do read harder, but I've never done Pop sugar. 5y
CouronneDhiver I‘m a mood reader so I find it hard to stick with challenges... I prefer my no pressure set up. 😊 5y
sprainedbrain I used to do ReadHarder every year, but I didn‘t do it this year, and I think I‘m going to skip it in 2019. I‘m planning to do Popsugar and the Reading Women challenge, plus Booked2019 here on Litsy. 😃 5y
Julsmarshall Thanks @WanderingBookaneer @MirrorMask @CouronneDhiver and @sprainedbrain ! I love hearing what others do! Thinking I may change it up this year! 5y

Repost for @Clwojick :
Hello, my lovelies!

It is finally October 1st, and it‘s time to start the #BlackCatChallenge! I‘ve been wanting to do a #giveaway for a while now, but wanted to make it fun, so here we are!

Rules are simple: post a picture of something that matches the daily tag. Whether that be the book cover, the spine, the title, or a quote from the book. If you don‘t have a book to match, then post a pic of something that does!. ⬇️

LitsyHappenings Lol. I‘m pretty lenient. Make sure to tag me, and use the #black cat challenge hashtag. Each post will count as an entry to the final giveaway. Which will be a small package of some fall books and things 📖 (edited) 6y

I abandoned the other two reading challenges I started for 2017. I learned I‘m not disciplined enough in my reading choices. If a book catches my interest I read it, with no thought as to whether it crosses off a letter of the alphabet or a bingo square. But I‘m proud of passing my GR goal, and I‘d love to add one more before Sunday night 😊

Emily92Bibliophile I have found that out too about myself this year. I have surpassed my Goodreads challenge but on the bingo square I am 2 away, and 5 away on the A to Z to finishing and am struggling with those. If a book doesn‘t motivate me or I have a deep interest in it, there‘s little way to me completing it, even for a challenge or crossing off on a list. (edited) 6y
Suet624 I wish I would challenge myself to challenge but after 62 years I know myself too well. 6y
rubyslippersreads I learned that about myself too, but it probably won't stop me from joining new challenges. 😄 6y
Flaneurette Same here 🤷‍♀️ 6y
Lynnsoprano @Suet624 I hear you. At 66, I figure life is too short to read something I‘m not enthusiastic about. 6y

1. 10-12 hours reading in an average week 😄
2. I like digital when I'm traveling, print when I'm not.
3. Mystery, thriller.
4. Horror, Sci-fi (with some exceptions)
5. When multiple plot lines wrap up perfectly in the last 2 pages. Unrealistic!
6. My favorite thing about reading is it challenges me-to think, to learn, to empathize.
7. Sometimes I avoid dealing with life problems by disappearing into a book.
#LitsyQuestions @GypsyKat

GypsyKat I'm so with you on #7 👍 7y
