Just started this #twistythriller that even has a twisty road from the library. I rarely read thrillers, but I need some fast fiction to get me going!
#namastenovember @Eggs
I will say this didn‘t grab me right away. However, I do think this was building in a way such that you don‘t realize it, and then when it implodes, it happens so fast you feel like you can‘t keep up, but it is also so amazing and satisfying that it‘s darn near brilliant, and then that ending. Jewell drops that holycrapwhatjusthappened at the very end, and then well shoot, now the book is over and you are just left alone with your thoughts.
WOW! 😳 So many different things going on in this book and everyone's creeping on everyone else!! A prominent teacher's wife is found murdered and everyone's got a story! Appearances are not what they seem as you get caught in this maze with a new twist every few chapters! Great immersive storytelling and characters that are flawed and unpredictable!
We chose this for IRL book club but I feel like 3 British mysteries in a row might have been a bit of overkill for me. 😬 I am enjoying it but I'll need to take a break after this! Lol
Oh my stars @shadowspeak17 Thank you so much for this wonderful book!!! I am so excited to read it!!! You are amazing!!! Thank you again so much for hosting the wonderful giveaway!!!!
I‘m sorry but someone‘s stomach has the supple give of freshly baked bread crust!! What 🤷♀️ this is the third time I‘ve stopped to shake my head at descriptions in this book, don‘t think it will be lasting much longer.
This just didn't catch my attention like I thought it would. I probably expected too much after other peoples reviews.
Had a good ending but I found the chapters erratic and lost interest in the middle.
Just finished Then She Was Gone and I really didn‘t like it, so I‘m hoping this one makes up for it. The summary makes this one seems much more like an active thriller, which Then She Was Gone was not.
I always have an audiobook going so finding myself waiting for one is making me a little nervous.
A little more than half way in and I‘m really enjoying this one. Suspenseful but a slow build up. Everyone‘s got something to hide - but who did what?
I listened to this as an audiobook and really enjoyed it. There were a couple different storylines that all involved the same several people and came together in the end. The story kept me guessing and I wasn‘t disappointed with the mystery of “who did it”. I appreciated the way different perspectives of the situation were presented and how assumptions can shape the decisions we make. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another incredible novel by Lisa Jewell who literally gets me hooked every damn time. I got sucked in completely and could barely put this down. The characters were just so much fun and so varied.
My godmother loaded me down with books she‘s read lately as a parting gift post visit. I literally want to read everything right away!
Brand new library opened in my town! I may be chained to a table refusing to leave 🤷♀️
What an amazing book! LJ has the best characters and really knows how to suck you into a story.
Up next!! Hopefully this one will be just as great as Then She Was Gone!!

This book was not my normal read, but I ended up really enjoying it
Everytime I thought I had it figured out a new twist come into play. I was in suspense until the end.
After coming home early from work and crashing for 3 hours to recover from some tremor attacks today, I‘ve got enough energy for some more mowing and book listening. Check out my cute penguin shorts from Fabulegs! #audiobook
I signed up for a free trial of Audible for in-between Podcast episode listening, and omg I‘m sucked into this book! I‘ll probably end up zoning out and mowing the lawn for hours while listening to this until my husband comes out and yells at me to get inside. #audiobook
Great audiobook for a work commute because it‘s entertaining yet doesn‘t require your complete attention. Even though I guessed the ending 2/3 through, there were still enough related plot lines to keep me engaged. 3/5 ⭐️
I will miss sitting at Graffiti Corner and reading whe. I move this summer. I will have to find a new place.
Look what showed up in the mail today.
Now to finish this months and send it off.

Book one for the holiday weekend. Nearly half finished and no clue whodunnit.
This is the 7th or 8th Lisa Jewell book I‘ve read, and I have loved them all. I like the turn she‘s taken into a more suspenseful / Liane Moriarty-ish style. #howjessreadsin2019
Excellent thriller! Fast-paced, thought-provoking, and a “something special” element I can‘t quite put in words. Check it out! #LisaJewell #WatchingYou #suspense #thriller #mentalhealthinfiction #psychologicalthriller
What a fun read!
Lisa Jewell has everyone watching everyone in the “safe” town where Joey and her husband Alfie recently moved to, staying with Joey‘s brother and sister-in-law.
On their street, Mr. Fitzwilliam moves in, and everyone seems so attracted to him, despite his having a wife, Nicola. But there‘s always secrets behind closed doors...
And everyone has a secret in this book. Loved the different perspectives and quite the page-turner!
Things are starting to take some unexpected twists and turns, nice! 💯
So my haul from Half Price Books wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. They had a lot of books, but I felt more than a few of the ones I wanted were over priced for the condition of the book. I'm not against paying full price, or half price as the name of the place states but not for books with pages falling out. I did get these two booka though which I am happy about.

Why is it that so far I have read parts of *every* #LMPBC book this round while waiting for car service? Book 1- oil change, Book 2-snow tire removal and now with Book 3- brakes. (Ugh)
The books certainly make the adulting less painful!

I found this a little hard to get in to at the beginning of the book and my mind wandered while I was listening. There were lots of characters introduced right off the bat which overwhelmed my brain. Having said that, I eventually got used to the jumping between narratives and the final twist actually surprised me.
Finish one, pick up another... Keep the books moving... Hope this one is a page turner like my last one...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
An entertaining read overall! I agree with other reviews that it builds up slowly at the beginning, but there are enough twists and events that keeps it intriguing. Though I ultimately never warmed up to main character, other characters throughout are lovable and interesting!

Just ok. A little too convoluted and clever for its own good. Seemed to take forever to get going, too.
