This was soooooo twisty! You think you have it all sussed, and then another twist and suspect is thrown at you, and then again, and again!
I find Alice Feeney is such a good twist writer. 4⭐️

Another brilliant book from Alice Feeney! With two unreliable narrators, an emerging serial killer in a small town, and a disturbing look at the past, Feeney keeps you guessing. This one felt a bit slower to start then some of her others, but I actually think that was an issue with the audiobook. The “murderer” narrator, while unique, had some audio quality issues. I never listen to books on regular speed & I had to for this one. Still a favorite!
I love unreliable narrators, and this book has two! A tragically disturbing story that stems from mean, errr psycho mean girl childhood trauma with turns that keep you guessing. I kept thinking I knew “whodunit” and at one point I came close but then said nah it couldn‘t be so I moved on and focused on other possible suspects. Feeney is great at crafting fantastic thrillers and I will read anything and everything she writes. Book #38 in 2024
I loved this book! Hooked me right away with the dual perspective of His and Hers. It kind of reminded me of Samantha Downings My Lovely Wife with the pace and way it was written. Lots of twists and overall just a wild ride. If you are looking for a good thriller this is it 💚💚💚
What a ride! The inner monologues of the main characters got on my nerves a bit at first 😂 The ending shocked the hell out of me, but if you‘ve read any Alice Feeney, you know that‘s her MO. Great and fast read!
Went through a reading slump 🥴 but this book got me out ! I loved the twists and turns. 70% through the book and I still didn‘t know who the killer was. My only complaint is the amount of explanation that was needed at the end to make it come full circle.
Wow… Just wow. I thought I had it figured out so many times at the end and I was dead wrong. This book was excellent on audio as well as in print (I did half and half). A really clever thriller!
Literally kept me guessing til the end on who the killer is! This is my 7th book of the 2023. (July read)
Another great book from Alice Feeney. It wasn‘t quite as good as Rock Paper Scissors but was still an enjoyable read. It does keep you guessing who exactly is killing all these women who were friends in high school. But as with most schools, there are bullies that make life miserable.
“When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessentially British village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation.
Someone isn‘t telling the truth, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.”
Wow, I did not see that ending coming. This book was deliciously dark and addictive
I enjoyed this one. I think it probably hits better as an #Audio because of the voices of Him/Her, so glad I was able to do that !!! #YouPickTBR23

Genre: Thriller
There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, His & Hers. Which means someone is always lying. When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessentially British village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation.

I listened to His and Hers, a serial killer novel by Alice Feeney. It was compulsively listenable and had good pacing. As usual, the outcome was difficult to predict, despite the limited number of characters. 3.5 ⭐️s
I flew through this book as there were so many twists and turns and couldn‘t guess what was going to happen next. Gripping and fast paced I preferred this much more than Rock paper scissors which I found a bit bland
This is a dual perspective thriller with thoughts of the killer scattered throughout the book.
None of the characters are necessarily that likeable or trustworthy and this has you questioning everything and everyone. However, the writing and pacing kept me reading and of course wanting to find out who the murderer was, sadly I guessed pretty early on who it was.
If you like thrillers with unreliable narrators this might be the book for you.
A psychological thriller that kept me guessing the entire time! What a roller coaster of a ride that was.. Had at one time guessed correctly what was going on but changed my mind a million times all the way to the end.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I couldn‘t put this one down, and the story just kept pulling me further in with each chapter. And this is also the first thriller that I‘ve ever read that I actually got the killer right!
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This my first Alice Feeney and it was just ‘meh‘ for me. I felt like I could see all the gears turning. A cop and a reporter who were once married reunite at the scene of crime involving someone they both knew. More deaths follow. The main characters were obviously unreliable but it all felt clunky to me. Lots of eye rolling on my end. I know lots of people really liked it, but I won‘t be in a rush to read more by this author.
My first Alice Feeney, and 🤯, this blew me away. Smart, twisty, and intricate, this is the psychological thriller genre at its finest. Feeney weaves a tale of unreliable narrators, complicated pasts, small town mystery, and old secrets with a gripping plot that keeps you guessing until the end. And the end - OMG, THE END. Chills. I can‘t wait to get my hands on more of Feeney‘s work. She‘s earned a place on my list of “auto-read” authors. 5⭐️
After disliking my last read, I‘m very excited to start another novel from Alice Feeney. Her twists always gets me, and are always perfect for the upcoming fall weather 🎃
#AugustReadingRecap #SummerReading Lots of summery vibes. The two in the middle were favs but no duds here!
“Youth fools us into thinking there are infinite paths to choose from in life; maturity tricks us into thinking there is only one.”
Dark, twisty, suspenseful and a page turner! I finally got to finish this one! Social gatherings got in the way 😫 I thought I had it figured out, but I didn‘t! The ending was definitely a shocker! I don‘t know what to read next!
I‘m not 💯 but I think I figured this one out…

I want to read all night and not go to work!! 😂😂

Alice Feeney never disappoints in the twists. Another fast paced read from her that kept me guessing. Really enjoyed it!
Thank you so much @KatieDid927 for the books and goodies! I can‘t wait to dig into these two books! #SpookySummerSwap
And thank you @paperwitchs for organizing a spooky swap!
This book was interesting, a unique way of telling the story by using different perspectives from three characters. The #audio was fantastic, both because that format was especially effective via audio and also because Richard Armitage was one of the narrators. Love him! I will say it was slow at times and felt a little disjointed but the compelling ending and unexpected twist made it a pick for me. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
“We rarely deserve the lives we lead. We pay for them however we can, be it with money, guilt, or regret.”
Ugh. So good. That plot twist came out of nowhere! My heart rate is still elevated. ?
*I didn‘t want to stop listening to the audiobook so I took out my coloring books. I really missed #audiocoloring ! #hoopla

his was my first read by Alice Feeney. After reading this double unreliable narrative, I need to go ahead and read her other book rock, paper, scissors. His & Hers is a fast page turner that will keep you guessing.
Early morning audiobook with the boy. Time change is kicking my butt this morning! Wish I could lay in bed all day but that is wishful thinking! 😴😴😴😴
“Patience is the answer to so many of life‘s questions.”
A couple weeks ago I read my first-ever book by this author, and now, reading the second, I noticed that this same line is in both books! I wonder if it‘s in all her books. Anyone know?
I loved this one and it actually ended up surprising me at the end (didn‘t see that twist coming). At first I was nervous going into this book since I wasn‘t the biggest fan of “Sometimes I Lie.” 4.5/5 stars for me!
No. 2 for #NewYearWhoDis
Thanks for the fun reads @Bookish_AF and I will continue reading ones off your list through out the rest of the year.
Wow, this book kept me guessing the entire time and had a major twist that I never saw coming. 10/10 for sure! #Book1.2022
🌟🌟🌟1/2
It kept me going to the last page, of course dying to know what the hell was going on. Sadly, the ending wasn‘t really that satisfying and highly improbable. This definitely took away much of the pow factor these who done it‘s usually have. Eeverything leading up to the reveal, was pretty edge of your seat thriller.
I liked this one just as much as Rock, Paper, Scissors. If you are able to guess the ending, you are much more clever than I am 😂
I have finally gotten to this one and I loved it! The POV‘s are awesomely written and it‘s totally creepy at times! A #tbrread from last weeks #wintergames point total that I‘m just now reviewing.
