Absolutely glorious. I loved learning about the history of Milicent Patrick and her role in creating the Creature.

My one con is that a better editor was needed. Parts were a bit repetitive and rambling. I also liked some parts when O‘Meara referenced herself, but could have done with less.

Overall I loved it! 4 Stars 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Now to actually go watch The Creature From The Black Lagoon.

After about three weeks of traveling (Athens for 2 weeks, home for 2 days, Chicago for 4 days), I‘m excited to just sit home all day and read. I have so many books I started before and during everything, here‘s to hoping today I can finish something. 😋

When in a new city for the weekend, it‘s important to stop at the closest indie bookstore. And get a new book, of course. 🤓

My (small) bookmark collection from Greece! I finally had to limit how many I bought. 🤓

Litsy, it‘s been awhile. Two weeks in Greece was simply phenomenal. While I barely got any reading done, we did stop in this amazing book store in Oia. I picked up Zobra the Greek, even though the reviews are dicey, it just seemed the like the right choice (plus, I didn‘t have room for another edition of The Odyssey 😂).

And so it begins! On my way to Greece for two weeks! 😄

The best bath bombs are Game of Thrones related and come with a surprise inside. 🐉

I went to this #AwesomeCon panel, and it‘s like it was made for me. Author Max Brooks and members from the Blue Ribbon Study on Biodefense (Ken Wainstein and Dr. Asha George) talked about biodefense, germ warfare, and released Brooks new graphic novel Germ Warfare: A Very Graphic History.

...and I got to meet Max Brooks, who signed my copy of Germ Warfare with “Jessica - who already knows.” 🖤

Finished my latest science/medical non-fiction book (The Hot Zone).

And I wonder why I have issues finding the horror genre scary. ☠️

In my defense, I donated about 10 books and have already read Stiff (just needed a copy for my collection).

Whelp, that was a struggle. What seemed to be such an interesting premise was actually quite a slog to get through. I was incredibly bored throughout, and honestly should have bailed but was optimistic something interesting would happen. It didn‘t. 😩

I was waiting to read this for a long flight next month. However, a month seems too long to keep waiting. 😍

Not really book related, but she did write a book & I‘m still super excited.
I have been a fan of Amanda Palmer since 2006ish and read her book a few months ago.
Well, my boyfriend surprised me with a ticket to go see her in concert last night. This was the first time I‘ve ever did anything like this by myself, and it was one of the best experiences I‘ve ever had. It was sad, and beautiful, and hilarious, and I couldn‘t ask for more. ❤️🖤❤️

The story itself was interesting and slightly creepy, it just felt like it was to long. Maybe it was because I was listening to audio, I just stopped caring about some of the storylines and wanted to get to the actual ending.

A 2nd & Charles opened up near work, right on my way home. This was my first time going and one, and I can already see the trouble this will cost in the future. 😂🤑
