A great post-apocalyptic journey through the forest to get to grandmothers house! This was creepy and suspenseful- I really enjoyed it. Will definitely check out more by this author!
In conversations with @gibblr I described this as Little Red Hiding Hood meets Bird Box but without the blindfolds. (Though the writing is weaker than Mallerman‘s.)
The beginning feels like third-person stream of consciousness, but if you can get past that, it‘s not bad. My initial reaction was to hate the ending, but I quickly realized I‘m okay with it. I understand why some people will not like the ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
