#ScarathlonPhotoChallenge #Day23 #Spider I know I‘ve used this one before, but when you say spider, this is the first book that comes to mind. If you‘re an arachnophobe, do not read this!🕷️ #Scarathlon #SpookyGhostClub 6pts

#AutumnPlease #Day2 #Cobwebs This book not only has cobwebs on the cover, it‘s full of them in the story. Definitely a HUGE TW for arachnophobia, my skin was crawling the whole time I was reading it🕷️🕸️🕷️ #Scarathlon #SpookyGhostClub 6pts
Who would say no to creepy killer spiders, global Except for a variety of descriptions of how the creepy spiders are attacking and random relationship tidbits of the characters, nothing else happens. This book is part of a trilogy so the author naturally leaves something for the other books in the series, but for goodness sake you need to give the reader some story/character development. Disappointing. ⭐️⭐️ #doublespin
⭐️ This was my November #bookspin No. 19 pick. It was just not for me. Most of the female characters had one trait: horny. The women had no character depth. And the invasion of spiders happens so slowly that urgency and fear doesn‘t come through. I won‘t be reading the second one.
A re read for me
Rating: 5
Square used for : monster ( anything that's not vampire, werewolf, or zombie , demon.) So I went with
Spiders, to find out how they work you're just going to have to check out the trilogy for your self. Note : don't read in the dark,
#LittensDressedInBlood #Day10 #BookPhobias Giant spiders. Enough said.😬
I read three quarters of this and thought it was a dud, nothing much happened and the characters weren't written well, the location around the world kept changing to introduce more characters - I started to get confused about who was who...
Despite the weak characterization, the authors writing style and his creation of a very unique foe makes this one hell of a page turner.

Day 2 #20series20days #top20series
This is a horror suspense series about the world being taken over by spiders. Told in a World War Z style, really creepy and greatly entertaining.
Do not read this if spiders scare you. I'm not afraid of spiders, and yet, I still feel like things are crawling on me after finishing this book. 😲
It was creepy, a bit unbelievable, but an excellent distraction from the current state of our world. The ending leaves you hanging, but apparently there's another book.
I will not be recommending this one.

You guys are amazing and I couldn't do it without you! ❤️
Here are my four extra books that I'm adding to my stack for this challenge. My challenge will not be to just read 1 book a week but to read 1 book a week on top of my usual stack. Everyone who reads more than 1 book a week is more than welcome to join us in this challenge this way. 📚😊📚
#BookAWeekChallenge
Interesting premise.
What I liked is that it was something completely different but the same. Yes it's an apocalyptic book... But not your usual bad guy....it's spiders. Lots and lots and lots of really bad spiders.
Looking forward to book 2.
Happy Valentine‘s Day, Littens!
I‘m in love with this #cupidgoespostal package from @collegecatlady ❤️
Thank you, Crystal! The books are perfect! I can‘t wait to start The Hatching; I‘ve been eyeing that for way too long. 🖤
Well that was disturbing. I didn‘t realize there was more than one book when I started so I will have to look for the next one sometime. My only issue with this book was the way it jumped around between different people. I wish a few would have been cut out. But overall I enjoyed it.
Getting some reading in and a foot soak while my son takes a bath. 🛀
I already don‘t like spiders, this book is not going to help that! 🕷
Definitely signing up for this! Thanks @TheReadingMermaid ...looks super fun for us horror lovers! #horrorgoespostalbookclub #hgpbc
#2018Book84
I've never really had a problem with spiders before, but after reading this book I will definitely freak out a little every time I see one.
Excellent, fast-paced read to while away the time while waiting at airports, bus stations, funeral homes, royal weddings or any football match featuring Argentina. Not good enough to make me spend money on the sequels but if someone gifted me them, I would read.
I have very mixed feelings about this book. It started off good, had a good premise, a few likable characters, gory bits😉 I didn‘t like that the story jumped around to different characters/storylines. I think I would have liked it better if it just followed a handful of characters and gave a more in-depth look at the spiders🕷🕷🕷/5...I will not be finishing the series
I‘ve just about had it with this book. This is basically how each character is introduced 👆 Please give me more man eating spiders and less about each characters sexual history🙄
#TuneIntoNovember #day3 #Overpowered Playing catchup already, there's so many great photo challenges, I feel like I need to do them all but then I get really behind like last month and give up. So I'm keeping it to my fave 3. In The Hatching, the world is being overpowered by giant flesh eating spiders. This book made my skin crawl, j kept thinking something was crawling on me & freaking out. Plus the nightmares were awful. Not for arachnophobics!
I don‘t read very many apocalyptic-type books... I enjoyed this one about bizarre people eating spiders. I‘m looking forward to reading book #2. 🕷🕸🕷🕸
My favorite books about #creepycrawlies ! #hallowreads @Tiffy_Reads @JoeStalksBeck
#HallowReads #day4 #CreepyCrawlies Reading this book gave me the heebie jeebies the whole time. I had goosebumps & the feeling of little feet crawling all over me. If you can't guess, I'm arachnophobic. Just the thought of this premise coming true gives me anxiety. Major seismic activity is recorded in India & other parts of Asia. Then the spiders appear.😱🕷🕸🕷🕸🕷CreepyCrawlyX1,000,000 #spidersarenotok
This reads more like an action flick than a horror novel. And that‘s okay because it‘s fun. The whole thing about who is/was/will be sleeping with who is unnecessary, unless it‘s important for the sequel. One character goes on about a woman he had sex with and is planning to have sex with again until she dumps him via text. Zero impact on the plot. Overall, the main story is good enough that I plan to read the sequel.
So, nuclear bombs, killer spiders, and the people responsible for saving the world can‘t think about anything except boning each new character they meet? Otherwise, I‘m enjoying this.
Bah! The first 15% of this audiobook is who‘s sleeping with who. Got bored, fell asleep and...
Not a good idea for a bedtime story. Or maybe it was the cat sleeping on my head, drooling that woke me up.
Ob dieses Buch bei meiner Spinnenangst die richtige Wahl ist? Momentan auf Seite 26 und bisher lässt es sich super lesen. Ich bin gespannt ?
#TBRtemptation post 9! #PhillyMeetUp #bookswap edition! Proudly displayed by @Yossarian ! A bit violent, a lot of gruesome, and fun, fun, fun! There's some weird anomalies happening geologically. Turns out, it's spiders! And not just any kind of spider, but one the world hasn't seen for awhile, with a particularly nasty streak. 🕷🕷🕷 #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
Premise of the book was fantastic. I thought that it would be absolutely killer as I'm a sucker for any kind of book where an animal or insect is the threat or plot device, however, this one fell a little short. I'm not a fan of books that read like television series or end of cliff hangers like a television season ending. This was one of those types of books. It was good for what it was but that's about it!
I haven't read this one but based on the description by my husband - 1) it will work for the insects prompt and 2) I will never ever read it 😱#insects #junebookbugs @RealLifeReading
#JuneBookBugs #day3 #Insects I know, I know. Spiders are arachnids, not insects, but it's the closest I've got to a book about insects. Unless you want me to describe the scene with a maggot filled body in one of Karin Slaughters novels! Nobody wants that image in their heads before bed.🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷
I devoured this book like the flesh eating spiders it's about. Fast paced and creepy with a great range of characters. I can't wait for the second book!!
🕷🕷🕷
Shudder shudder
So creepy but really good 🕸
2/5⭐️. Uck. I found this book pretentious. I didn't like any of the characters, except the federal agent, and even that was a stretch. I did not need sexual innuendos in every chapter, "golden showers?" Really? I have checked out the sequel and I may attempt but we will see. The spiders would have made a great story, minus all the characters in the book
A spider 🕷 just came out of his nose 👃
I needed something a little less heavy emotionally I not sure this was it. But I kinda like it 🤘🏻🤡
Sometimes you just want to read something about carnivorous spiders eating everybody. I really didn‘t find the characters that interesting. Their predicament is interesting, and there are good creepy moments, some are clearly borrowed from other, better books and films. Unfortunately, [spoiler alert] the book does not conclude as much as just stop.
[I received an advanced e-galley through Netgalley.]
2017 #24 Scary Audio Take the movie Arachnophobia and mate it with 2012 or Independence Day and you end up with the book. As I never read the blurb and only as I entered it into Litsy did I realize that this book 1, my initial disappointment with the ending has been mollified. Well written enough to make your skin crawl. Quick and easy read if you can tolerate the vivid creapy crawlies.
TFW you try and escape from the fact that your new President and his administration is intent on destroying everything you hold dear and making a mockery of this nation by reading a dumb, kind of fun book about killer spiders but the universe is like lol nope 😭
