The weather has been SO nice this week/weekend which kept me busy working on things aside from reading. Audiobook workouts continue though, and the one I'm on now is incredible already (A Woman of No Importance by Sonia Purnell).

pickI was rather unsure of how my kids would react to this little gem from my childhood. It is very much a different type of story than we usually read. The verdict? They loved it! I guess a good book is always a good book, no matter how old.

What is Goodreads smoking? In no way does a grisly murder mystery about a psychopath who cuts his victims' limbs off in any way go with what looks like a sweet children's book. Unless Betsy turns out to have a predilection for body parts....

pickAnother childhood classic revisited. You can't really come to this series expecting high drama but rather the lovely reminiscences of the author's girlhood in turn of the century Mankato, Minnesota.
pickIt's BFF day, which is a good excuse to share Betsy-Tacy books! These are dear, old-fashioned stories of scrapes and friendships set in the late 1800s/early 1900s, and we might do a series readalong on GoodReads at some point. (BATGW photo because I always liked the books where she's older better.)
