Time for some classic #Eastercrime
I read (and watched) a lot of Agatha Christie in my teens, and the premise of this one sounds familiar, but I can't remember who the killer is or why. Hopefully it won't come back to me as I read 😅

Set against the backdrop of a country estate, the story unfolds with a group of young adventurers determined to uncover the truth behind a perplexing murder. Led by the resourceful Lady Eileen "Bundle" Brent and her friends, the narrative embarks on a thrilling journey filled with twists and turns.
Gripping and intricate storyline + cleverly woven clues + unexpected revelations + lots of red herrings = impressive body of work ?

Another delightful read. A couple more to go in this series. I'm loving the character called Bundle.
When the 2 females characters have character and one is acting out of it...
A fast-paced mystery that kept me guessing till the very end :)
While not my favorite AC by far, I still enjoyed a revisit with Bundle and her adventurous spirit.
Bundle was so much fun to read. She was so driven to determine the plot behind the secret organization of the Seven Dials. She went off on her own to make discovery‘s. The two guys were so brash, crazy even. Nobody was as they seemed, as you learn from the end. As mentioned in the book, it‘s just like in the books where there are secret groups working behind the scenes. #AgathaChristie
A strange but fun little mystery. None of these stick with me for long, and I doubt this one will be any different, but it was a pleasant diversion today.
It's the third day since I vowed to eat mindfully, and I've already fallen off the wagon. Even an excellent meal like black bean stew and watermelon is just so booooring to eat without a book. (In this case, the audio version of the tagged book.)
The characters were fun, especially Bundle. I liked her sense of adventure.
The solution made me go "wait, what?", but not in a good way.
Read this yesterday because I haven‘t read any Christie for a few months. This won‘t be a favorite, but it‘s an enjoyable mystery with a lot of red herrings & some good characters, esp Superintendent Battle and Bundle.
Catching up on #agathachristieclubR2. Quite enjoyed this one - it was so cheeky, I love a little Christie snark!!
Reading in coffee shops: Now with face masks and hand sanitizer!
I read this Aug 5-15 and gave it 4 ⭐️. I am finding that a problem with a lot of Christie‘s novels are the endings as they seem so rushed. Overall I like this one and part of me wishes that she had continued writing mysteries with Bundle in them.
I've been catching up on my Agatha Christie!
I skipped Roger Ackroyd, listened to Big Four, Blue Train + Seven Dials and am skipping Partners in Crime (read it recently).
Big Four: 🔪🔪🔪🔪
Blue Train: 🔪🔪🔪
Seven Dials: 🔪🔪🔪🔪
Partners: 🔪🔪🔪
Seven Dials was my fav; Bundle is the best! And it has a Tommy + Tuppence feel that I just adore.
Next up: Roger Ackroyd. I've heard such great things!

4. Christie often uses a common setting of English literature: the English country house. What does this setting bring to the mystery that couldn't be found in a location like London?
#agathachristieclubR2
3. Christie uses a cast of "bright young things" to solve her thrillers, while her two main detectives are both older characters. Why do you think she does this?
#agathachristieclubR2
2. Critics reviewed this unfavorably against The Secret of Chimneys, as both books contain several of the same characters. Which do you prefer and why?

What's another month without me forgetting to do #agathachristieclubR2 questions again? Let's get right to it.

1. Did you like this book? Why or why not?
#JubilantJuly
Caught up for #AgathaChristieClubR2. Both are fun reads, but because I‘m not a huge fan of the short-story format, I definitely enjoyed The Seven Dials Mystery more.
A reread for #agathachristieclubr2, this is one of my favorite Christie's. It's lighthearted and fun, and Bundle is so daggone likable. It's a loose sequel to The Secret of Chimneys, with several overlapping characters. I also have a soft spot for the stoic yet intelligent Superintendent Battle. All in all a fun read and definite pick!!
This one was a reread for me. It was my first ever Agatha Christie books 3 years ago. I didn‘t remember who the bad guy was until there was like 30 minutes left in the audio. I like Bundle so much better in this one. Another great mystery.

Living my best life under the circumstances.
We‘re here. We‘re good. Maya‘s cough is getting better. We‘re making today all about having FUN. For me, that‘s taking a walk and reading. For Dr. Hubby it‘s doing yard work and playing VR. For Maya it is binge watching a Netflix show and working on a puzzle with us.

How are you doing today?
Pictures don‘t do it justice, but my favorite tree in our backyard is in full bloom today! It‘s windy, so the grass will probably be blanketed in flower snow tomorrow. ☺️
Taking a moment to sit on our deck, have a cup of tea, read an Agatha Christie, and just breathe. 🥰

Day ten of the Christmas holidays, and on to book fourteen. Only eight more minutes until I reach my goal of twenty-four hours for #24B42020 🙂
While it wasn‘t my favorite Christie book, I still enjoyed it. I predicted who the leader of the secret society was, but after that I was shocked and surprised at the ending. Did not anticipate who the villain was at all, which I like, but it took me a minute to wrap my head around how the scheme actually occurred. Eager for my next Christie read!
It‘s the first day of summer for us teachers! Enjoying some poolside relaxing with Aggie.
Despite the scared look on Oregano's face, it really wasn't too terrifying! This was one of Agatha's stand alone books not part of a greater series and it was okay. Still a good read but not as exciting as some of her others. The main character "Bundle" was certainly an interesting person....? #catsoflitsy #snowday #mystery

🍁I would prefer an enveloping comfy recliner, but since I don‘t have one, I read in bed with lots of pillow and a warm blanket.
🍁Tea latte AND water. I can‘t do anything without a water bottle nearby.
🍁Any Agatha Christie novel although is about a murder is a warm fuzzy read for me.
🍁Tagging New Friends: @Jilly6183 @Samantha.1020 @inmegslibrary @GrandMom64 @ilyssa.g
Thanks for the tag @NeedsMoreBooks This was fun!🧡
All the Bright Young Things who make up the majority of the characters make this book so much more fun than it has any right to be. I probably wouldn't have cared too much for the plot, but I'm totally charmed by Bundle and her friends.

Sorry - several book reviews coming to your feed!
I loved the underlying humor in this one. Yes, it‘s an ode of sorts to thrillers of the early 20th century, but Christie‘s spin on everything is enjoyable. I was shocked by the ending. Book Two for #24in48 .
#agathachristieclub
Book Two done! The cats are looking at me like I am starving them to death (I‘m an hour late giving them food). Up next for the #24in48 #readathon : The Song of Achilles
Took a few breaks to stretch my legs and to eat and am now back on the couch with this. Something tells me I‘ll have to move around a bit soon, as I‘m getting a little tired...#24in48
This is one of the first Agatha Christie books I read and the mystery is surrounded by clocks, 7 clocks. #clocks
#ReadingResolutions
I love that this passage in The Seven Dials Mystery is basically dissing Agatha Christie's own novel The Big Four which is about a secret organisation of criminals with a mysterious super-criminal at the head.
How I wish Agatha Christie made many more books with Bundle (real name Eileen) and Superintendent Battle! This was a great mystery with an ending I did not see coming.
My Friday consists of this book and falling in and out of sleep. My husband and I are ousting caffeine. We are on day 3 and it's so hard. 😩 But I'm looking forward to the aftereffects.
Murder on the commute. More syndicates and international intrigue
I‘m a little behind on my reading for the #agathachristieclub ... finished this one yesterday on the drive home. I enjoyed Emilia Fox‘s narration and the story kept me guessing right to the end. I was sure I knew whodunnit but was totally surprised in the end. I liked the story wrap up, but found it a bit far-fetched. Overall, a fun read. 3.5/5⭐️
This is a conditional pick. I do NOT recommend the audiobook narrated by Emilia Fox. Her character voices are over the top, obnoxious, and annoying. I do, however, really like the characters themselves. This is the second novel to feature the crew from Chimneys including Superintendent Battle. The mystery was fun and twisty, and the characters were lively. Do yourself a favor and read it in print.
#agathachristieclub
Home from work for the weekend. I‘m 3/4 through the audiobook, but I can‘t take one more minute of Emilia Fox‘s narration, let alone an hour and a half, so I‘m going to finish it in print while chilling on the couch with #Bailey. #DogsofLitsy #AgathaChristieClub
1️⃣ I haven‘t given up on the #bulgakovbuddyread, yet, and tagged book for #agathachristieclub
2️⃣ I‘d like to take my mom‘s maiden name since few people can pronounce my last name and even fewer can spell it. It‘s annoying.

I started this on my way into work. It‘s narrated by Emilia Fox instead of Hugh Fraser and I have to say, I really miss Hugh‘s narration. I‘m not loving Emilia‘s voices for most of the characters. 😔
