First of all, Magnus Bane did not have a story, except to support Alex. I love Alex too and love how he fights for his family and other Down Worlders, but he is not Magnus. I did enjoy, however how the book went through the entire timeline of Clare's creation so we now know Anna's and Matt's heartbreaking secrets. And if you are a Team Jem fan, you will certainly like this book because each short story features him.

I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new - don‘t judge me I have a lot of books.

I am enjoying Ghosts of the Shadowmarket and I have mixed feelings as I draw near to the end of the Shadowhunter universe. I have 3 books left and then I‘m all caught up until Chain of Iron. Hi! It‘s been awhile! Work has been crazy I just haven‘t had time to read! I finished this audiobook yesterday and I really enjoyed it! I loved that Jem was featured throughout because Jem is one of my favorite character in the Shadowhunter realm. My favorite story in this collection was “The Land I Lost” because my was just so adorable. I recommend reading this book before Chain of Gold because it does help you understand Anna & Matthew.

I may be hating The Mortal Instruments series but this collection of short stories (minus two of them) were all beautiful. I have realized I don‘t like any of the stories that revolve around the 21st century. But I do like the ones revolving around the Victorian London time frame. Sure I may have been lost on some info but I least enjoyed the stories. My Biggest grip w/ this series is the constant reuse of Names I keep getting characters confused

This book expanded on a couple of plot holes from Chain of Gold. It was mainly about Jem and his many adventures through shadow markets. I've got to re-read all her books now.

This book is a collection of short stories set in the Shadowhunter world that center around James Carstairs/Brother Zachariah. These were really good emotional stories. My favorite story was The Land I Lost where Alec rescues then adopts Rafe. It was also one of the least depressing stories. Cassandra Clare is really good at #tearjerkers 🖤

Some stories I liked, others not so much. 🤷‍♀️

I will never get enough of this world! This collection of novellas filled in some plot points, gave ua back story for secondary and tetiary characters and set things up for future books. And Jem and Tessa! ❤❤❤

Another one knocked off the list. I think I‘m well on track to exceed my goal this year again.

Jem through time? Jem and Tessa? Jem and baby?! HECK YES!!

I love Jem and I love the Shadowhunter world, but I did have a few complaints with this book. First, I was expecting the story to be about Jem, not other people where Jem sometimes makes an appearance. I also didnt like that it is more of a connector rather than a stand alone. Much like Queen of Air and Darkness, it left me with more questions than answers.

How does Cassandra Clare keep writing so many good books?! Magnus and Alec are my favorite couple in all of literature.

I love Cassandra Clare, shadowhunters, and the character Jem. This book of short stories was great. I loved the ones set far in the past. And I was excited to see the ones set post the books as they exist now.

I love Cassandra Clare! These stories were amazing and makes me so excited for when Chain of Gold comes out this year. I loved reading about Tessa and Will's children. Also, honestly, I've never been a huge Jem supporter, but these stories have changed my mind. Although Will is still my favorite. I'm even more excited for The Wicked Powers after reading these, which was unexpected, as I liked The Dark Artifices, but didn't love it.

Finished this 600pages collection of #Shadowhunters novella. It's a collection of short stories of Jem from #TheInfernalDevices throughout the century to find the lost Herondale, so there are lots of characters & children of the characters we love throughout the book. It's not her best work but it sure warms your heart reading them. Ive gotten so emotional during a few.

I‘m being super indecisive once again, so I‘m going to try jumping back into the world of Shadowhunters (with tea and a cat, of course). For #BFCr2 I stayed on track with food today, got a home workout in, and had a good skate! I have been in a Shadowhunters kind of mood recently, so this short story collection hit the right spot. Jem/Brother Zachariah was a thread woven through the stories, which visited other familiar characters from Cassandra Clare's novels. She co-authored the stories with other authors, and the tone of each varies. I love that feeling of stepping into the reliable and larger narrative of a series like this one.

I really just devoured this one. I enjoyed meeting both old and new characters and getting to see a bit more about their lives. I went through many different emotions while reading and just couldn‘t put it down! #shadowhunterchronicles

I buzzed through 2 new stories fairly quickly. Decided I wanted to reread last couple of Chapters of Queen of Air & Darkness. After that I read for 2nd time.
As per usual #malec scenes were my favorite. Lovely to see them and the whole Shadow Gang happy. Just enough teasers of things to come in future books to peak your curiosity but not a cliffhanger. 🤓 #shadowhunters

This audiobook is extremely short, but it was awesome. I especially loved the ending. I want more of Jem and Tessa.

Jem & Tessa! Lovely, sometimes sad read. My Absolute Favorite thing was: "glittering “star maps” that, on closer examination, had nothing to do with astronomy but were in fact self-updating maps of Los Angeles with a tiny photograph of Magnus Bane marking each location the infamous warlock had caused some infamous chaos. (Tessa bought three of them.)"
