Classic Tessa 🥰 I loved Georgie.
A great start to the series. Lots of fun.

“That table isn‘t strong enough to hold three people!”
Unrealistic? Yes. Many tropes combined? Yes. And I loved it. It contained everything I enjoy about a swoony rom-com, the tension, anxiety, drama, the grand gesture and it was deliciously steamy. The characters had sufficient depth and experienced also some growth. The happy end felt a little bit too rushed but that's the only thing I can complain about.
This book was so sweet and had many laugh out loud moments. Somehow it still managed to have some incredibly hot scenes. I highly recommend it!

My last read of 2022 and quite a bit short of my 30 book goal. I was doing well but work turned into utter chaos. 14/30 while keeping in mind I took care of myself the best I could isn‘t too bad. Happy new year everyone!
I made it about 50% of the way through when I realized I was cringing more and more. So many issues with this book including that the whole fake relationship the premise is based on didn‘t even come up until near the 1/2 point. So the first half of the book is a lot of whining by both MCs and a sex scene that was written like bad porn. That‘s when I DFN‘d it.
Cringy not cute is my overall review.
I am normally a fan of Tessa Bailey, but this one rough. Almost DNF but instead took over a week to finish it. Took almost 300 pages for anything story wise to actually come about and even then everything was resolved in just a chapter. 🤦♀️
Thank you @chasjjlee for this bracket! I love it! I‘ve had some really good reads this year so far so I think it‘s going to be tough!
I am on a roll of finding great audio books that I‘m finishing in a day or two! This one was sweet and a great story and also HOT!! Like hotter than I expected! Super enjoyed it and have book two downloaded 🥰
Thank you @Johanna414 for my #LittleChristmasSwap
I'm looking forward to the book and the chocolate looks delicious!!
@bookish_wookish thank you for hosting this fun swap!😊
I finished this book but it was mostly a miss for me. Both Georgie and Travis were incredibly flawed as characters. Travis was way too alpha male and the fact that he said baby girl more than her name drove me insane. Georgie wanted to be treated like an adult but acted like a literal and hypothetical clown. I felt no chemistry between them other than the amount of times we were told Georgie was obsessed with him.
The only thing that kept me going through this was the main character Georgie. She‘s too good for all these people. I physically grimaced every time Travis said “babygirl” he‘s gross.
Quick, fun romance and much steamier than I anticipated. Like really steamy y‘all! Fell a bit short of the mark for me, but I love the girl power aspects. Finished just under the wire last night so my last book of 2020.
⭐⭐
Nope, nope, nope.. I liked the premises, but I'm pretty disappointed with the result!
Georgia is an okay-protagonist, but Travis is the worst! I'm done with these alpha-men, who can't deal with their feelings/emotions and waaay too controlling.
This was my #doublespin for November, I'm glad it's finally out of my TBR @TheAromaofBooks
I don't think I really need to explain my rating if you just read this odd direct quote:
"There was a fuzzy koala doing somersaults in her stomach, tickling her ribs and pressing down on her unmentionable parts."
So basically it badly needs an editor and was really cringey. But I kept turning pages, so not sure what that says about me.

Starting this one tonight after winning it on Goodreads a month ago! Im excited for hot and heavy romance!
I finally won a Goodreads giveaway for a digital book!! Has anyone read this one already? Thoughts?
I really didn't like this. I found the vibe between the couple unpleasant. I think the only reason I kept reading was the vain hope that the heroine might realise how awful the hero was. Usually I don't mind explicit sex scenes, sometimes I enjoy them, but the sex scenes in this book were just...yuck. I skipped over the last couple. Disappointing. #Romantsy

Like a lot of romance novels things progressed quickly between the two main characters. I did like Georgie's profession and her gain in confidence. I didn't love all the dirty talk and how rough the sex always seemed to be. But other than that it was a quick, fun read.
This was such a sugary sweet romance that gave me all the feels.
A VERY steamy romance read. Enjoyed it except for the use of “baby girl” nickname.
Happy Valentine's Day!💘

I have no complaints about life right now. 😻 Also really glad my Kindle was handy since holding a real book and turning pages became basically impossible! 😹 #catsoflitsy
Loved this book! Sexy and adorable. Perfect for folks who enjoy romance of the steamier variety ❤️ #romance
I can't believe it's been so long since my last post but life hit hard. After weeks of travel for work and 🍗 I thought I was coming down with the flu, but it was much more serious and long story short I ended up in the ICU for a week with anemia so severe I needed several blood transfusions. Now I'm home and on the mend, picking up my first book in a month (😱) and trying to rest and settle in for some self care before my 30th bday tomorrow (!!!)
Ooh y'all. I usually don't care about sex scenes in books and often just skim them but these were STEAMY. Great characters and character GROWTH. I loved Georgie and that instead of a typical beauty she is a party clown. Fun read! I can't wait for the next one!
Had a blast at The Morristown Book Festival in NJ yesturday. Meg Cabot & Tessa Bailey were my fave session. Both wonderful, funny women I was glad to meet. Looking forward to reading thier books.
Okay the sex scenes were WAY too much and didn‘t blend in with the writing of the rest of the book.
It had its ups and downs , and I enjoyed it. Probably wouldn‘t read it again though 😬

FIRST OF ALL, any man who calls the adult woman he‘s sleeping with “baby girl” or “little sister” and fetishizes her virginity needs to be removed from society.
Second, this was full of cliches and subpar writing, especially during sex scenes. I‘d maybe get the love for this book if the writing was more engaging? As it is, I‘m baffled.
Third, that ending was rushed on the page and for the characters‘ lives. I‘m staying mad about it.
I can‘t believe how awful this is. The hero is a massive unreconstructed alphahole unhealthily obsessed by the fact that the heroine is both his best friend‘s little sister and a virgin. The heroine is an actual clown and also Not Like Other Girls. Everyone in this is horrid. And none of it is sexy. None of it. I could really rant about this, but if you want a romance about a washed up baseball player, go read Evvie Drake Starts Over not this.
Latest contemporary romance read. And I‘m loving the trend for graphic covers - even if I can‘t get the whole title in the shot here!
This was a fun read. Not my usual cup of tea, but I enjoyed it for the most part

I spent have this book rolling my eyes and cringing. The other half sighing and swooning. I think the sweetness factor won out and 🔥🔥🔥. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but if you enjoy steamy romances and can get over some annoying pet names this one is for you!
In general, it was funny and it is a light summer story. However, it has a lot of cliché and explicit sex scenes. If you don't bother these two things well it can be cute. Friends since childhood but he didn't know how she felt about him. He had an injury that took him out from what he loved to do. He returned to his old town and then...I will say, that both of them "fixed" each other in their lives. 3⭐️
Umm, this book! 😱🔥🔥🙈🌶🌶 It‘s the usual trope you expect for a romance. They are attracted but can‘t/shouldn‘t be together. They fake date but don‘t fake sex, lol. I could have used less of the “baby girl” term of endearment from the Travis character and there were some other issues, but you don‘t read this for the secondary characters, so overall I enjoyed this even if it made me blush quite a bit 😂
Hiking in Ithaca, NY but of course brought a book! Been seeing this one around a lot and it's worth the hype. Cute, funny, & a good summer read 📖
I really enjoyed this book. Georgie has had a crush on her brothers friend since forever. When Travis comes home after a career ending injury he doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. When he finds out that he is up for the job to be an voice of a baseball teams home game he decides he wants to change his image. Georgie agrees to be his fake girlfriend. But what happens when they start to have feeling for each other?
Still listening but I‘m going to call it a night on #24B4Monday 5 hours isn‘t too bad considering my goal is 6 hours. This was mostly time driving and audiobaking. I have less than an hour left in this book so I might finish it tonight.
I can‘t believe I thought I wasn‘t going to like this book. I‘ve listened to over 4 hours at work today. What was I thinking?!?
1. Fix Her Up and Intercepted
2. Dungeons and Daddies (d&d campaign)
3. Well, I sent @rachelsbrittain A LOT of texts about Kingsbane last night

Oof. (Fans self) 🔥🔥🔥
A fun romantic comedy with a older brother‘s best friend trope. There were times I wish the characters were a little more fleshed out (Travis‘ backstory in particular), but overall a good read. Once they get together it is steamier than the cover leads you to think. My first Tessa Bailey, but not my last!
