Since I put ACOTAR on my #bookspin list as both 19 and 20, I‘m using the book before it on my it for my #doublespin this month.

I‘m reading ACOTAR ironically- my bookclub topic is “popular trash”, and this was the first thing that came to mind. Mainly because I‘ve heard of how spicy the series is, no offense to anyone! I do like fantasy, so I expect to like it. But is the hype real? I‘ll let you know. 😁📚

This didn‘t quite live up@to the hype, but it was still a good read. I‘m super excited to have the whole series in front of me yet. I loved the interweaving of fairytales. Beauty and the Beast, Vasalisa and the Doll, Bluebeard, Baba Yaga. So good.

RoyallyReading This one definitely felt weak compared to books 2 & 3 for me. I'm on the novella now, which I've seen have mixed reviews. 🙂 4w

Second time read for me so I can approach the entire series. Still doesn‘t hold a candle to Fourth Wing IMO, but it‘s fine! Not a huge Fae fan, and I find they are so vague in this series that I feel like I‘m an oblivious dunce who tried to sneak into a private event. I hope the rest of the books have more complex character and relationship development.

It's Carnival weekend and we've been on the carnival parade. The time when I finally get to dress up as my favourite fantasy character. I haven't found the bat wings. But I did find spring coloured wings and fairy ears. So, this weekend I'm a fairy from the Spring Court. It matters that I belong to the world of ACOTAR.🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️
Carnival is the time to chase away winter and bring in spring.

maich And Leja chooses a different character every day. Yesterday a fairy, today Wednesday, day before yesterday an Indian (she made her costume at the workshop in the library)... by Tuesday, when the carnival is over, she will have another idea.😆 The doughnut ('krof' in slovenian) is a traditional carnival dessert. Carnival is the time to chase away winter and bring in spring. 5mo

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR The end of the book was definitely intense. I‘ve got the hots for Rhys now - I gotta admit. He fought for Feyre and tried to help her - more so than Tamlin I think. But Feyre, after her trauma - is with Tamlin. In love and HFN. Let‘s face it - she is not ok with what happened. This girl is scarred. She‘ll need to heal. ⬇️

StayCurious Will Tamlin help with that or will it be her weeks with Rhys that help her? This is definitely love triangle material - which I normally hate in romance but in this case I‘m here for it. Bring it on! I will post a schedule for Book 2 soon for those who are interested. 6mo

mcctrish The reels on FB were so focussed on Rhys that I read to the end ahead of schedule so I wouldn‘t get anymore spoilers. I was gobsmacked Feyre and Tamlin left together🤯 Rhys‘ explanation made sense to me re: what he did but I‘m not 100% team Tamlin considering how much manipulation went into pulling Feyre‘s strings to get her to break the curse. Rhys manipulated Feyre too it feels more helpful and less emotional #bringonbook2 6mo

She didn‘t want to see him as decent (and why would she, he‘s kind of a jerk) but maybe he has people and things to protect as well. Everyone in Prythian is under a terrible weight and they need the witch queen dead. ⬇️

StayCurious Can Feyre survive her 3rd task, release Tamlin from the curse, set his powers free, and watch as Amanrantha is destroyed? Even if all that were to miraculously happen, will Feyre and Tamlin get their HEA or will Rhysand stand in the way? 6mo

I‘m not much of a fantasy/romantasy girl, but I did enjoy this! With all the hype surrounding this series, I‘m glad I finally read it because I was so curious about all the hype. I think it lived up to it! Great world-building, plenty of tension, and some spice! I‘d definitely be up to continuing the series.

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.37-39: Desperate and dying, Feyre makes a deal with the devil. What are Rhysand‘s true motives for making this bargain? - not just to torment Tamlin. What is he really up to? I‘m disappointed that Tamlin seems to have just given up. He needs to do something - I don‘t like how submissive he‘s become. As we head intro this next task, will Feyre survive? Or need Rhys‘ costly help once more?

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.31-36: Sorry for the missed post - life got in the way! So now, things are getting exciting. Feyre goes back to the Spring court only to find it destroyed and empty. We finally learn what‘s actually happening in Prythian - and it all comes down to one evil lady. Who happens to have the hots for Tamlin. Feyre knows she has to try to save him, and everyone else. Or die trying. ⬇️

StayCurious When she gets to Under the Mountain it‘s like that scene in Star Wars with Jabba the Hutt. Only Tamlin is Princess Leia, bound to the side of the villain, except sans gold bikini. Feyre strikes a deadly bargain to complete 3 tasks or solve a riddle in order to save him. But will she survive long enough? 6mo

Tamlin‘s generosity has elevated her family so that they are better off than they were 8 years before. ⬇️

StayCurious But not everyone is fooled: Nesta sees through the glamour. And she actually went after Feyre. deep down Feyre knows she can‘t stay there, not when her High Lord could be in danger. If Nesta was brave enough to go to Prythian, so is Feyre. 6mo

I had heard so many things about this series so was keen to read the first book as part of #litsylovesromance.
Magical lands, violence, adventure, beasts, faerie‘s - there was so much going on and that doesn‘t include the romance. The relationship between Tamlin and Feyre was swoon worthy .
A seductive, adventure that the author detailed perfectly. I can‘t wait to read the next one.

Yeah, he seems like a jerk but he knows what‘s going on. Tamlin is still keeping things from Feyre - to protect her or himself and his realm? Can he really send her home? Will she leave her newfound home now that she finally feels comfortable there? She might not have a choice. ⬇️

StayCurious It seems as though things are crumbling around Tamlin and the spring court and Feyre may be his weakness and his downfall. Unless she‘s like the key to everything. So many unanswered questions! 6mo

And he shows her what his world is really like. I feel better knowing that his court is not completely abandoned as it appeared to be. There are many more fairies there than Feyre could see. ⬇️

But things are starting to go well between Feyre and Tamlin, that is until Feyre goes against his orders and sneaks out to the Fire Njght. Feyre and her curiosity! She lands in such dangerous situations. ⬇️

StayCurious If that handsome stranger hadn‘t been there…and who is he and where is he from? I‘m sure we haven‘t seen the end of him. And then Feyre has that run in with Tamlin after Lucien tells her what the Rite is. I got an ick feeling that he was with someone else that night and then comes to Feyre with hopes of what? I dunno. My gut isn‘t rooting for these two as much as it was. Even if Feyre is drawn to him. 6mo

mcctrish Tam had to take someone else and was pissed off. He did warn her but Lucien obviously thinks Feyre should be given more information that she gets. 6mo

I picked up this book for a Litsy read along and it was so good I couldn‘t just read 2 chapters a day. I now know why Romantasy is such a popular new genre. It‘s romance with a thrilling, action packed B-storyline. This story felt like a beauty and the beast spin off, which made me enjoy it more. It also had a little Psyche trials of proving her love of Eros to Aphrodite spin too. I love that particular Greek myth. So, all in all I‘d recommend it!

They aren‘t all the vicious creatures she was warned about - although there do seem to be a lot of dangers in The Spring Court. And who is this terrible lady faerie we keep hearing whispers about? Tamlin seems to be trying more with Feyre. ⬇️

StayCurious He offers to help her write, he reassures her about her family‘s welfare, he brings her to a starlight glen cough cough aka Twilight Meadow) - for Feyre this is akin to Beast giving Belle a library. The man is working hard. But what does he really want from her? 6mo

If this were my book, I‘d be luxuriating in baths, food and the library and just avoiding all that danger- it‘d be very boring haha. But that‘s not who Feyre is. She likes to test boundaries. She‘s still working for her family even when she‘s away from them. ⬇️

StayCurious Hoping to save them from the blight. Will she listen to the Suriel‘s advice and stay close to Tamlin or did it perhaps mean a different High Lord? Is Tamlin her future? Will he keep her safe when he seems to be losing control of his lands? Or is she the key perhaps to changing things? So many questions. 6mo

#LittensLoveRomance #ACOTAR Ch.10,11,12: we learn more about Tamlin-that he‘s a great warrior-and Prythian, and catch glimpses of conversations that tell us things are not great in Fae-land. Tamlin and Lucien are worried and Feyre hates being in the dark. She‘s brave for digging and asking the questions she does. I wouldn‘t have the guts. But where does she fit in? Is there another reason Tamlin brought her there? Why is he running out of time?

She disses Tamlin when he offers her a tour (brave or dumb) and seeks out the foxy Lucien to get him to plead her case with Tamlin. She should have just played nice with Tamlin in hopes of doing it herself - but what do I know. But Lucien sees right through her plan and basically puts a stop to it. ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks I kind of forgot that we were starting this one but I am caught up now 😂 I think this story would be so much more believable if Feyre had people she actually LOVED back home. This whole “I promised my mother“ doesn't feel like strong enough motivation for how desperate she is to escape so she can be malnourished, cold, and get back to the people who treat her like garbage. 6mo

StayCurious but Feyre‘s grown up on terrible tales of the High Fae and she‘s even warned by the servant Alis not to trust her senses in Prythian. She‘s terrified and hoping for a chance to flee. Can she do what she‘s told for the time being and not get herself into trouble? 6mo

I hate her family - I feel bad that Feyre (pronounced Fair-ruh) is taking care of them and feels bound to them and bound to her terrible existence. They‘re useless. I said it. But A promise is a promise and Feyre made a serious one to her mother - ⬇️

StayCurious probably because the woman realized they would die without help. I appreciated the world building the author did - I‘m interested to see where this is going, especially considering how Ch.3 ended. I think we can all agree that Feyre is meant for more than this life. 6mo
