Three women who seemingly have nothing in common find that they're involved with the same man in this smart new rom-com by Beth O'Leary, bestselling author of The Flatshare. Siobhan is a quick-tempered life coach with way too much on her plate. Miranda is a tree surgeon used to being treated as just one of the guys on the job. Jane is a soft-spoken volunteer for the local charity shop with zero sense of self-worth. These three women are strangers who have only one thing in common: theyve all been stood up on the same day, the very worst day to be stood upValentines Day. And, unbeknownst to them, theyve all been stood up by the same man. Once they've each forgiven him for standing them up, they are all in serious danger of falling in love with a man who may have not just one or two but three women on the go.... Is there more to him than meets the eye? Where was he on Valentines Day? And will they each untangle the truth before they all get their hearts broken?

I loved this book! It took me on a roller coaster of emotions. A perfect read for February, since much of the action takes place on Valentine‘s Day. I‘m so glad I chose this as my February #ReadOrDonate selection!

TheAromaofBooks I've enjoyed a couple of O'Leary's other books, but have been hesitant to pick this one up since it sounds like the main plot involves cheating. Did you feel like that aspect was handled well? 8mo

Wow! Definitely give this a chance. In the beginning I kept thinking this was out of character for O‘Leary. Such a likable character doing such unlikable things. But, O‘Leary weaves a wonderful (albeit sad) story and ultimately we get our HEA.
This is my one of my February #Roll100 rolled books.

This novel opens with 3 women, all stood up by the same man. Told from their perspectives in dedicated chapters, this is a story of love, friendship, self love, loss and personal growth. I almost gave up on this because it dabbled in infidelity. If you find yourself in that place, just stick it out and trust the author to tell the story and bring it to a satisfying conclusion. It‘s creative and has more depth than the cover alludes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 ❤️📚

I never would have picked this up if not recommended on What Should I Read Next podcast; as promised, it is far less fluffy than the cover implies! An enjoyable read with strong characters and well-done plot. A nice pace with a tidy ending. Not the type of book I read most often, but I‘m happy to have read this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Three women. One man.
Three dates. One occasion.
Siobhan. Miranda. Jane. And Joseph Carter.
A romantically confusing and confusingly romantic story about Joseph Carter who apparently stood up three women on a single day. Is everything as complicated as it seems or is just super simple?
My second book by Beth. Quick paced, simple, yet an interesting story about how particular events shape our entire lives. A short and sweet no brainer book.
4/5🌟

This was a low pick for me, and I didn‘t feel it had the same pull and attraction as her previous books, although if you have read and enjoyed her previous books I would still recommend it. It had a very good upbeat and positive ending to the story.

Weirdest format ever goes to this book. The timeline jumping had me soooo perplexed for a LOT of this book. BUT it wins swooney hot tree guy hunk of the year award for one of the romance plots here so it‘s a big recommendation based on that alone 🤣 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was SO GOOD! 😍
I find O'Learys books are hit and miss. This was a definite HIT. Her best book so far, in my opinion.

I went into this expecting a love rat who dates 3 women at the same time and is just a general dick head. I could not have been more wrong. There's a great twist towards the end, which I did guess at around 70%, but it was still genius. I just wanna wipe my memory clean of it and go again!
Superb. 👏👏

Definitely not the story I was expecting! It was more of a romantic mystery (rather than a romcom), with a surprise twist. I did think it was a little drawn out at times, but overall it was a great read 😊

I absolutely loved this non-traditional romance novel. Three very different women are stood up on Valentine‘s Day, all by the same man. Despite this behavior he is not what he seems, and I was really rooting for all three of the women to get their happily ever after.

Thanks to #netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. I went into this book blindly having enjoyed the previous books I have read from this author and this book was so not what I expected, in the best of ways. The best way I can describe it is as being a chicklit read with mystery thrown into the mix and it was so delightful and heartbreaking in all the best ways.⭐⭐⭐⭐ #thenoshow

The Flatshare is still my favourite of O'Leary's books, but this was good. I'm always interested to see what O'Leary writes next. I think I was just in the mood for more of a romcom right now, which isn't the book's fault at all.

I don‘t want to say too much about the timeline so as not to spoil anything, but I will say my favorite of the three female MCs was Miranda, the tree surgeon, who was the most sure of herself and what she wanted from the relationships in her life. It felt good to root for her when the rest of the characters had backstory trauma that was purposely kept secret yet impacted their behavior and decisions at every step of the plot.

I didn‘t know what to expect going in to O‘Leary‘s latest, and I was glad to approach it with a blank slate. The three women‘s stories are all so different & interesting on their own, then paired with Joseph, it makes for some very compelling storytelling.
The multi-narrator audiobook is fantastic, & I would recommend that method of reading.
O‘Leary continues to be one I will always read.

An original story and once started reading it is so curious to figuring out how this story would progress. It seems to be a predictable romance, but there is a twist that changes perspective on everything that had happened earlier in the book.

I have really liked every one of O‘Leary‘s books. The audio is very well done. She masters how to write a fun romance with serious depth, how to include heavy things without the whole story being depressing. In this one, there is a bit of fun figuring out what is going on. Why did this man no-show on Valentine‘s Day for 3 separate women? What are the connections? Another story with great heart.

Having read two of this author's previous books, I thought I knew what I was getting...but this was a romantic comedy - with a twist and a bit of heartbreak. So slightly different, but still so enjoyable and certainly a reminder to not make assumptions. I loved the three female characters, all different but all strong in their own way. I gave it 4/5 stars and will gladly read even more books by this author.
