tricours I recently bought this oneat the yearly library book sale in the town I now live in. People seem to either love it or hate it? 8y
Kirstin @tricours I would recommend it. I think a lot of the hate stems from it being a book people are forced to read in high school. The language is old fashioned too. 8y

I just gave this 3 stars over on GR but that's sort of the opposite of how I felt about this book. I can't decide whether I loved it or hated it. 🤔🤔🤔 I'm giving it a pick because the writing is brilliant even if the subject matter was pretty hard to relate to. Controversial, pornographic, amusing and sad.

Absolutely fascinating! I knew nothing of Truman Capote other than that he wrote 'In Cold Blood'. Now, I don't think it's possible to know more. I loved the style in which this bio is written. An oral history. Reminded me of the other Plimpton book 'Edie'. Both subjects had very similar lives. These photos were not how I pictured Truman before but how I see him now.

Charles Cullen confessed to 40 murders but the estimated number is more like 400. What will be even more shocking is that he was caught many times by the hospitals he worked in but, they were so frightened by the legal ramifications that they just let him go. With references no less. Unbelievable. Truth is stranger than fiction. #nonfictionnovember
