Finished book 4. Not much happened till around the last 100 pages.
While I‘m not enjoying this series as much as I‘d hoped I‘m still planning to continue as there‘s just something about it that makes me still want to know what‘s going to happen.

Bk7 of June was done a few days ago. I read it as a combo between audio and print, but my battered copy is too scared to be seen in public. I have a bit of restoration to do to it I think. It is 30yrs old & been borrowed and read.A lot! After the fall of the Stone of Tear, Rand, Mat, Egwene & Moiraine head into the Aiel Waste while Nynaeve, Elayne & Thom sail to Tanchico searching for the Black Ajah & a danger to the Dragon Reborn. One of my faves🙌
Great book! The sentence structures used by the author are a little different in some places so I had to re-read here and there to make sure I understood.
Finished book 4 of the Wheel of Time series. It was a little less compelling than the first 3, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Onward to book 5!
The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legends. Legends fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose [...]. The wind was no the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.
Still struggling with memory & concentration problems from long covid, amongst other symptoms but the those two are REALLY affecting my reading & so to me are the worst of the bunch! Doesn‘t help to have a 13 week old boxer dog who thinks she‘s a baby & likes to sleep on my shoulder. And snores. How‘s everyone else doing? I‘ve missed you guys! I‘m trying to get my groove back but it‘s so hard. #covidsucks #dogsoflitsy #readingmojoreset
Catching up on all my book reviews— bear with me.
I LOVE the Aiel, I LOVE Aviendha, I love the wise ones… I loved this book. This might be my second favorite of the series so far (how can you not love the first one the most? It‘s the start of the adventure!) Rand is getting more and more angsty, and I‘m tired of everyone dumping on Moiraine, but that‘s nothing new. 9/10
This has been my favorite so far, even though there were some things that I wish would've been explained further (even if the book was long enough as it is). Series pages read: 3134. Time read: 82 hours.
I feel like this series keeps getting better and better! This one might be my favorite. Lot‘s of eye opening flashbacks, deeper understanding of characters, and new and interesting places in the world! Loved this one!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is me right now reading the Wheel of Time series. 😂😂😂 #LitsyHumor
Really liked the second half of this book, so much action and excitement, I think this might be my favourite one in the series so far! Will take a break before continuing but I could just imagine some of the scenes playing out so dramatically in a tv show or movie! Excited for the show I am hoping it will be good.
My felt jacket‘s all done! I started with a Simplicity pattern from 1978, tailored the hell out of it so it drapes properly, and totally redesigned the pockets. Next, I‘ll redo my Yves Saint Laurent jacket and learn how to make trousers.
This latest round of #audiosewing took me to about 100 pages from the end of THE SHADOW RISING. I‘m loving this reread an awful lot, y‘all, bloat and all.
I‘m halfway through THE SHADOW RISING after a loooooong #audiowalk along the Greenway. While I‘m still loving the book overall, I do hate the gender dynamics and all the stereotypes. Sigh.
On the plus side, I‘m less bored with Perrin than I usually am! Hurray! Now, if only Faile didn‘t embody so much of the stuff I hate about the series…
I made tomato swirl buns with Parmesan, as you do. They turned out really well but a touch too salty. Poop.
I‘m edging up on the halfway point with THE SHADOW RISING. I remembered it as the point where the series starts to sprawl a bit too much, but I‘m loving it. Yeah, it‘s big and some of it‘s probably not strictly necessary. but it‘s all interesting stuff. I‘m excited to keep on going. #audiobaking
Bk4 of September, Bk13 of #LittensDressedInBlood & Bk2 of #AnyWayYouReadathon is done. And so is the last readathon! It‘s now the 13th here in Sydney, and I only managed 1 of my 3 goals😞. I only read 2 books instead of 3, neither of which was a #SciFiSeptember book but I read more than 20hrs🙌 At least I‘ve added Bk1 to this weeks #SuperSeptember #readathon & one more book down in my WOT reread. #ChunksterChallenge #ReadItAgainSam #BookspinBingo
Got in quite a bit of #audioknitting this afternoon, managed at least another 30cm of scarf & a couple of chapters of the tagged book. It‘s nice when your audiobook matches your knitting! #AnyWayYouReadathon #LittensDressedInBlood
THANK GOODNESS I was able to put aside the funds to order new copies (with updated covers!) of the Wheel of Time series for the library! 🎉🎉🎉 I was able to justify it because our copies were getting old and gross, and interest is ramping up due to the show coming out soon. But let's be honest...MY MAIN REASON WAS BECAUSE I HATE THE ORIGINAL COVERS - ESPECIALLY THIS ONE - WITH A BURNING FIERY PASSION! 😂🤣 Any book covers you feel that way about?
#LittensDressedInBlood #Day10 #EnterSandman For this prompt I‘m going for my current book, though it‘s the WOT as a whole really. A big part of it is Tel‘aran‘rhiod, the World Of Dreams. It‘s a dream version of the world running parallel to theirs & dreamers are people who can step in and out of this world at will. Egwene joins the Aiel Wise Ones in the Waste to learn from them how to walk Tel‘aran‘rhiod safely. Excuse my poor battered book!

1. I'm assuming this is supposed to be for August 🙂 Between all the traveling I did and the size of the books I've been reading, that leaves me with only one completed book to choose from (tagged).
2. I think finishing books 5 and 6 of Wheel of Time is challenge enough for me 🥵
Just when I was thinking, "Boy, are these WoT books long," along comes 1,000-page book 4 to show me that I had absolutely no idea. This book was everything that was good and bad about the previous ones, only more so. The pacing dragged in places; you could probably cut a couple hundred pages and not affect the story at all. It was also repetitive at times, even for WoT. (If Nynaeve "tugs at her braid" one more time, I swear I'll write a fanfic ?

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend.
(I think this is going to be my First Line Friday for many weeks to come. 😄)
This was a very informative Wheel of Time book. I'm was so glad to learn of Rand's Aiel heritage. Perrin's defense of the Two Rivers also added to the storyline. An interesting ending...

When @Meaw_catlady and @ErinSueMreads drew a card that symbolizes change and personal discovery, I thought of the Wheel of Time series. At the beginning of the series, the villagers of Emond‘s Field are in over their heads, but by this volume the characters have grown so much. Rand is ready to stop running from his responsibilities, Mat is no longer as selfish as he was in the beginning, and Egwene has matured so much.
An enjoyable read, but I still struggle with the fact that I'm four books in and not terribly invested in any of Jordan's characters....
Why did I agree to read a 14 book series when I have a million other books to read? #wheeloftime #toomanybooks
“A ship is alive, and he is like a man, with a true man‘s heart. Treat him well and care for him properly, and he will fight for you against the worst sea. He will fight to keep you alive even after the sea has long since given him his own deathstroke. Neglect him, though, ignore the small warnings he gives of danger, and he will drown you in a flat sea beneath a cloudless sky.”
Came back to this world for a little... now I need a break again. 😂

#Shadow - I‘m 7 and a half books into the Wheel of Time series, and this one has been my favorite so far! It is aptly named, since this is the book where the powers of darkness really do grow and begin to cast a larger shadow throughout the land! 😈
Good thing there are so many strong women like Nynaeve, Egwene, and Moiraine to fight the rising shadow! 💪
Okay, I took a few months off but I am jumping back into the Wheel of Time series.
Onwards and upwards 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 a solid 4 ⭐️ #fantasy #epic fantasy #buddyreadWOT
81% Humidity 🥵 it‘s a struggle to get our walk in before work 🤦🏻♂️🐶 making great progress with the #BuddyReadWOT #TheWheelofTime at the moment 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 #fantasy #epicfantasy
Awh man, I see why so many people say this book is one of the best in the series. The first 100 pages were a bit slow but once it kicked off, the action was great. My only complaint is that we meet so many people. This book was the first time I felt completely overwhelmed. I‘m just trusting Jordan to see me through his creation. #BuddyReadWOT
Plugging along with a Gravy to keep me company. She had her vaccines today so she‘s not feeling great. A good cuddle at the foot of my chair is just what she needs. #BuddyReadWOT
