I‘ve had a wonderful three days at #Gladstones24! Meeting so many wonderful Littens and spending time just reading in one of the beautiful reading rooms, surrounded by green hills, sheep and graveyards. So indeed, North Wales is always a good idea!

An award winning stream of consciousness novel, a 19th Century travelogue, and a small poetry collection.

Ghosts from the Library (anthology), the last half of Holly, the first half of How to Build a Boat.

So pretty! I also found a book called the Henwife, a big book on Forestry and Forest Products, and a massive tome called Hints on Farming. They are placed directly below a shelf with such titles as "The Mammoth and the Flood" and "Mount Vesuvius". The implications are clear. If we end up in a post-Apocalyptic state, Gladstone's is the place for city folks to go to learn 19th Century survival skills.

Two books read and halfway through the third.
The McCarthy I didn't care for. The Winterson was alright but not my fave by her. Both were rather grim and violent. The Stephen King is positively feelgood in comparison.

A beautiful morning here in North Wales on our #readingretreat.

@julesG and I went out for an audio walk / sit in the sunshine before settling down for a day‘s reading in the library.

We also bumped into Catherine @CGainor3 and Emma @Oryx out enjoying the sunshine.

Going to spend the #20in4 #readathon at Gladstone's Library with a group of wonderful Littens.

I'm hoping to read King's new book (we've planned an in-person buddyread) and Kuang's Babel.
