My son has been asking me to read these for years…so i finally started- and Really enjoyed this MG fantasy quite a bit more than i expected. The protagonist is a mystery- where did she come from, who is she, what does she know? None of this is actually answered. The found family is complex and I thought the characters were well begun with so much room for growth.
This book is meant for middle schooler, but even if you‘re not in middle school, it‘s still a great fantasy book with lots of action, and plot, it‘s written quite well for a book that is meant for middle schoolers
Read this to keep up with what my daughter is reading. Great new to me series for middle grades! Lots of adventure and intrigue and great characterization.
I loved this book!!! It was so cute. It was fast paced and the story was great!!! I loved the characters a lot. I will be continuing this series!!! I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!
I listened to this one via BorrowBox,
I found it interesting despite me not being the intended audience 😊
4/5

1. Pluto.
2. Keeper of the Lost Cities. It was announced a couple of years ago. Ben Affleck signed on to direct it but nothing more.
If you haven‘t played already, consider yourself tagged. How about it @Andrew65 @Clwojick @dabbe @Nutmegnc ?
Thanks for the tag, @TheSpineView 🤓
Really fun middle grade read with a rich world of elven tech, mysterious creatures, and powers. I loved the hero, Sophie. Now I‘ll have another fantasy book to recommend my middle schoolers.
Kinda wishing I didn‘t like it so much now that I know it‘s up to nine books in the series. 😅 #BlameLitsy
I read 22 #SeriesLove2023 books in January. I‘m now caught up on two series— KOTLC & Truly Devious. I also read books from the St. Marin‘s, the Secret,Book & Scone Society and the Hannah Swensen series.
This month I‘ll be reading books from the following series:
Eternity Springs
Murder by Design
In Death
That‘s a wrap on #WickedWords for January. All 5 words found 🤓 I‘m looking forward to February‘s list which @AsYouWish has posted 💙
My daughter starts college in 2 weeks after graduating high school early. She‘s going 7 hours from home 🙁. She‘s asked me to buddy read the entire KOTLC series with her before she leaves. 🤓
We have the annotated first book which is “Almost a Chunkster”. Love discussing books with her 💙 On to book 2.

This is book 1 in this fantasy series. I was at a conference and got this book signed for my daughter. My daughter and I have read all of the books in this series together (multiple times) and she has all but the latest signed.
I chose this book for many reasons but most of all because of the amazing memories I have reading with my daughter 💙
Okay, so I may be in my 30s, but I appreciate a fun Percy Jackson style series every now and then. This is the first book I DNF‘d this year. The lead was very much a Mary Sue, and with writing like this….

Another series I enjoy reading with my daughter. We do a reread when a new book in the series comes out.
This is what I thought when I read the ages on the back! (Sorry for all the KotLC posts, but I am super obsessed with the series at the moment! :D)
For any Keeper of the Lost Cities fan out there: the next book is coming out on November 8, 2022!!! Here is a pic of the front cover!!! I am so excited!!!
I LOVE THIS BOOK! after reading Harry Potter (a very long time ago) I had been mega struggling to find a book that awesome, one that I would willingly sit down and enjoy its company. It has an amazing plot that will throw you for an amazing roller coaster ride. the characters are so well written, and I definitely feel for Sophie.
Hands down 100/10 book.
I have started reading Keeper of the Lost Cities, and I already love it! The hardships that the main character Sophie has to go through is so... heart wrenching and so interesting all at the same time. Sophie is just a humans girl living among other humans. She has massive headaches all the time. She tries to block them out with music and other things but the key to stopping them is realizing that she isn't human! I can't wait to keep reading it!
This was a super cute middle grade fantasy- a light, quick read.
Watching my friend's boys today and her youngest is my son's bff. So they're building legos, the older two are playing video games and I'm just glad I thought to grab a book before leaving home. Other than occasional requests for food, they would prefer I just left them alone...
So lets just say..... TARGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got a book for me, a book for the little one, and a new card game for the family.

In such a good mood today so picked up this for a reread! A last minute vaccine appointment opened up tomorrow so I'm getting my first dose for my birthday!💃💃💃
I love Alden's trademark phrase: “No reason to worry“! He always gives a list of problems to Sophie and her friends, then tells them that they shouldn't bother themselves because everything is “fine“. 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
This book is awesome! It's about a girl who started hearing human thoughts ever since she was five, and then a boy comes and reveals that she is a Telepath and an elf. Then he takes her to live in the elf world, and I won't reveal any more (Except that she meets Keefe, who is like the best ever!).
Reading this at the request of my son. #readathon Already got 60 pages in.
My November wrap up.
5 bingos, finished my #BookSpin & #DoubleSpin books
Made great progress with #ProgressItNovember & will happily get to continue this in December for several of my winter/holiday series.
#BookSpinBingo
Here‘s my November #BookSpinBingo card.
Time o get caught up on a bunch of the series I read. 💙 #BookSpin
This is my favorite paragraph in the whole entire book. “'What brings you here today, Keefe?' Elwin asked. 'Just helping a fellow prodigy, sir.' Elwin grinned. 'I notice you've had to miss your session to do it.' 'I know. Such a shame.' He sighed dramatically. 'But Sophie needed help, so what could I do?' 'What, indeed? And I suppose you'll be wanting a pass to excuse you.' 'What a good idea.'“ Bit longer than that, but I didn't have enough space.
Fantastic kids book. My niece and I talked about it for a good hour. Can‘t wait to read the rest. (That‘s part of her bookshelf).
My niece is making me read this book. She has good taste.
1. YES!!! The new #pemberlittens group for Jane Austen fans!! (See @sprainedbrain for details)
2. I can‘t stand the irresponsible life and death long term repercussions the cheetoh in chief is causing and maintaining.
3. Morning- coffee, evening-tea.
4. I‘m proud of my relationship with my teens.

Holy crap! Who else has read this book? This book easily deserves Harry Potter-level hype. So good! All the magical creatures, the pervasive mystery in the series, main character trying to figure out who she is and how she got there, found families, very cool and complex magic, SO GOOD!!
This is a book that is constantly recommended to me by my students. I have so much to read that I just haven‘t gotten to it yet but I‘m bound and determined to start now!
I LOVED this middle grade fantasy novel. I am thinking about ordering it for my school library, but am not sure I have the right population for this book.
My daughter loves this series. She‘s turning 10 next week. I need recommendations of other series that will keep her hooked! She also loves Harry Potter and Rick Riordan.
Had me interested from the first chapter with likeable characters and an engaging mystery element
Staying up to finish the last thirty pages and I realized I never posted my #bfcr2 check-in 😬
I did not make my step goal of 13,000 steps every day — I think I only hit it twice — but I DID hit my active minutes every day.
Today, I‘m starting my food tracking goal of 3/7 days
Sleep — 7/7 days week three.
Books finished since beginning — 29, I‘m doing the #bbrc so my reading goal might change
And I‘m getting in 139 oz of water!

Hi everyone! What are you guys reading right now? I finished this book when I was camping. I won this book on Goodreads. I loved this book so much. It really reminds me of Harry Potter but instead the characters are elves. I definitely recommend this series. I'm very excited to start the second book soon. #litsy #kindle #kindlefire #paperwhite #library #bookgeek #booklover #bookholic #bookhaul #bookhoarder #books #bookinstagram
This is definitely Harry Potter meets Lord of the Rings. I just adore the MC, Sophie, she is adorable and so brave. I can‘t wait to see her character development.
Up next! Starting the first in this series. Heard amazing things about it and I‘m anxious to get started! ❤️📚🤗
My son loved this book. I think it‘s a cute story with typical middle school tropes and some inconsistencies. But it was fun for #winterstormreadathon and I‘d happily give this to a middle schoolers.
Joining the #winterstormreadathon hosted by @MrBook and @BookBabe with a book my son asked me to read and a book recommendation from @Librarybelle on her #newyearwhodis list . It is sleeting outside- so happy to stay cozy and read.
