Beautiful artwork. The story wasn‘t super impactful but it was cozy. About friendships, apprenticing, and maintaining tradition. Perhaps loved the explanation of tea dragons and care at the end even more than the story!
@Darklunarose posted about this series earlier today and I immediately had to see if my library had digital versions. They have all three and I flew through the first one. I love the artwork and adore all of the characters. I especially liked the intro to tea dragon husbandry at the end. 🐉
Ok, absolutely loved this little book. It really is very much cottagecore themed. Tonight I‘m going to try and read the other ones in the series.
Some light reading for this afternoon
Not kidding when said it can be read in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea. Tea din under 10min.
This is absolutely gorgeous graphic novel. The colors both pop and don‘t overwhelm. Extremely short, no stress, just little details towards friendship and traditions. Things just flow slowly, like a cup of tea.
Adore how the end shows care of tea dragons and then what the different types are like
The Tea Dragon Society is such a sweet little book about friendships, connections and the traditions that bring us together.
Delightful!
Look at how adorable a tea dragon is! I want one and not just to make my own tea! I‘ll definitely pick up the other books in this series. This is a graphic novel. I‘m using for #judgeabookbyitscover

Very cute with pretty, colorful graphics. #NewZealand
Well this was unnecessarily cute. I now want to raise tea dragons… however do you think they‘d be offended that I don‘t enjoy tea very much?
I put together a video featuring this lovely stack of books by trans and nonbinary authors for my library's social media. I didn't acknowledge #TransDayOfVisibility in the post text or tags because my director is always bringing up looking like we have an agenda when it comes to queer content, but this post is for visibility. #LGBTQ #TransAuthors #Bookstack
This was SO CUTE and now I want a tea dragon plushie 😍 (the publisher has entries for them on its website but they‘re sold out ☹️)
This was a very cute and relaxing graphic novel about a girl learning more about caring for tea dragons, who are the most adorable little things and brew tea imbued with memories. Major found family vibes with beautiful, colorful illustrations 💕
Bookish bday presents to go with my yarn-y ones!
I got my tea dragon pins! They're so cute!
This is a beautiful book and story and should be read with a cup of tea
Apparently, I need all the cozy fantasy books right now, because I will drop everything else to read them. This sweet story is full of diverse representation, with cute pint-size dragons that grow tea on their head. Need I say more? Classified as middle-grade but definitely for all ages.
Note: originally published under a different first name, the author changed their name to Kay about a year ago, but early editions will have their other name.
I felt for characters, they had touching backstories and it was nice to see how they had went through those difficulties.
Beautiful book and there were some awesome landscapes to look at. This was somehow really peacuful and cute.

My favorite book from january is in the final round of my #readingbracket2022 challenge by @chasjjlee
I love the little dragons ♥️🐉
What a sweet little story! I absolutely loved the artwork and can't wait to read more in the series! 💙💚💜
This book was so adorable! It was a fantastic middle grade fantasy graphic novel. I now want a tea dragon of my own.
Brought these two books home from the library yesterday. My husband picked up The Tea Dragon Society to look at it. I told him one book is cute, the other is creepy. His response? "Cute and creepy. Just like you."
This is the totality of what I own 🤷♀️ I know the bottom three are probably more comic style. I hope there‘s something here folks haven‘t read! #lmpbc #groupg
Such a lovely story! Alao a wonderful #comic for kids.
On the picture you see two of my favorite tea dragons. I love this idea. Maybe I'll paint some tea dragons in the future.
Gorgeous book. There is a lot of great things packed into this short graphic novel. Well worth a read
A cute story about dragons that makes tea and their owners.
7th book for #DashingDecember
@Andrew65
I absolutely loved this graphic novel trilogy! All are available on kindle unlimited & I recommend reading them back to back. They are hard to put down!
Expect found family, LGBTQ & disability rep, magic, and heart felt messages good for all ages. Book 1 & 2 read as independent stories with Book 3 tying them together. Bonus excerpts for tea dragon lore at the end of each book are a must read!
I may or may not have audibly squeed! It whisked me away on a fluffy pastel cloud. The aesthetic art style & cottagecore vibe was like sipping a calming cup of tea as you watch the autumn leaves float to the ground at golden hour. Complex characters with varying skin tones, LGBTQ+/disability/mental health rep & of course ridiculously cute dragons! It‘s about the value of friendship, the deep bond of pet & owner, & the foundation of love.
A gentle, sweet story that encourages the reader to slow down and remember that simplicity brings its own rewards. A growing friendship and solid connections between characters are lovely, and the guide at the end is charming. A breath of fresh, tea-scented air.
Needed something a little lighter after my last read and thought this fit the bill…
This was adorable and so, so sweet. Seems like a great way to get kids into graphic novels. The artwork and color pallette are spectacular, and I dig the focus on relationships, stewardship, and keeping cultures, traditions, and creatures alive. This felt very queer to me, too? Maybe I'm projecting, but I felt those vibes. I need to get my hands on the second book as soon as possible and am impatiently awaiting the third one's publication. 🍵🐉
I have wanted to check this graphic novel out for a while, so this morning I borrowed it on Hoopla though the library and gave it a read. 📚
The art is great. I have read Katie O'Neill before, but not in a long time. I like how she sets a good example for young readers and her books usually have good representation. I am glad I gave this a read. I think it would make a good gift for a younger reader and I wouldn't mind owning my own copy!
I have often come across this one on Litsy, and am very much looking foward to the cute drawings😍
Oh my! SUCH a CUTE book 😍 I need to read the rest! Oh my heart 💜 Read as part of the #popsugarreadingchallenge2021 5/5
This was a cute book that could be shared with middle grade students and older. A young girl is introduced to the art of creating for little tea dragons. It was a choice from my TBR and I'll be reading others. The art was pretty with a bit of a hazy, dream-like feel to it.

Every week, I highlight #LGBTQAuthors as part of #TheRainbowShelf 🏳️🌈 Kay O'Neill creates dreamy, whimsical illustrations and writes warm graphic novels that readers (especially little'uns) can enjoy. Their interest in tea, critters, and the magic of everyday life shines through in their beautiful works. Last week, they shared a post on Instagram announcing their pronouns and name, so you may notice their work listed as Katie O'Neill for a bit.
