#WDNCW that we don‘t celebrate the 4th. We never really have…Autistic child that hates fireworks. Also I do not feel very festive. I do not want to celebrate our forefathers (that came from immigrant families) as we are a nation of immigrants & we are currently deporting immigrants. None of the signers of the Declaration of Independence are Indigenous. Plus that the oppression & exploitation of others was used to build this country. No thanks
We saw the weather forecast for the next week, and it included all the terrible “H” words that we hate about summer: hazy, hot and humid. 😖 We know that many people look forward to beach days all winter long, but WE DO NOT CARE for this weather and these temperatures. At all. We will be spending the weekend indoors with a book to avoid the humidity.

I don‘t care that some people might think I am too liberal. I‘m 🇨🇦. Even the people I know who identify as conservative would describe themselves as fiscally conservative and socially liberal…and in our last federal election they all voted liberal so we wouldn‘t have our own version of the current US hellscape here. #sorrynotsorry
We do not care that we went to a bookstore & lunch in shorts with unshaven, hairy legs. But as @Amiable said “as woman of a certain age we are basically invisible.”
We do not care that our one air conditioned room is now full of STUFF after camping out in it for 3 days.
