A good holiday, mild suspense novel.
@aperfectmjk did you get around to this one? I give it 3/5 stars. #WinterGames #SnowAngels
I think I will be able to squeeze in some reading with these as my #weekendreads #WinterGames #SnowAngels

A Christmas book with a candle on the front. Read last year and enjoyed. I do like Mary Higgins Clark.

A classic from my childhood, I was very excited to revisit this story. Fast-paced with tons of action, it‘s set amid the backdrop of the holidays where a little boy becomes a kidnapping victim while helping his sick father heal in a NYC hospital. The way you follow all the characters keeps you on the edge of your seat until the final page. Definitely put this one on your Christmas TBR next year!

Another year jerker dressed up as suspense for our group read, @Clwojick! Really? At least it was happy tears this time! And I got to revisit one of my favorite authors from my childhood. Mary Higgins Clark was one of my perennial faves as a teen. I could always find something new from her at the library. One of hers — Nighttime is My Time — still haunts me!

I use to devour Mary Higgins Clark novels like they were candy canes and I was a sugar monster (wait... I AM a sugar monster), but this one was just okay for me. Still, it made for a good Christmas themed read, and it was the one team read for #MerryReaders that I hadn't read. #WinterGames2020 #HolidayRead #TeamRead @Clwojick
Just finished A Christmas Carol and ready to start the other group read!

Reading and coffee> working out. I‘m generally up early to workout before work but it‘s almost Christmas, work is crazy and I would just rather read for #dashingdecember and #wintersolstice
Finished this one today. It was okay. I was definitely riveted and wanted to see what happened, but I also probably wouldn‘t have read it if it wasn‘t so short. This was my #BookSpin and the 2nd buddy read

Ugh, I‘m bailing on the audio version of this book. The male narrator is so bad at doing female voices! I don‘t know why it has a male narrator when in the first 8 minutes you get 2 woman POVs. My library doesn‘t have an ebook version, so I just requested the print version of this book. We‘ll see if I get it in time. It‘s my book spin book this month.

This was a short and fast-paced #holidayread that kept me on the edge of my seat. I finished it in one sitting. It was also surprisingly the first MHC book I‘ve read.
+51 for our team‘s buddy read 🎄

Finished the #MerryReaders team read in one sitting. It was fast paced, and full of suspense. Not a huge surprise that I enjoyed it though, since I‘ve liked everything I‘ve read by this author. ♥️

This was a pretty fast read that was quite intense. I almost didn't finish because one of the main characters was hiding stuff from the police and was frustrating me (although MHC does a great job making her actions seem realistic) but I'm glad I stuck with it. Not the most twisty tale, but pretty action-packed for under 200 pages!!
This is the team read for #MerryReaders !! Checked off prompts for #FestiveFlicks #AVeryMerryBingo & #BookmasBingo
My #weeklyforecast is quite #WinterGames oriented! I took this picture yesterday afternoon before I realized I was actually going to finish The Christmas Sisters all in one day haha Now I am reading the tagged book. Since this month is a lot of Christmas reads, I am just reading my way straight across my #BookSpinBingo board! The Christmas Tree Ranch books had to be first as they were due at the library but now I'm just going to work right across!
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This one had me tearing up a little at the end. A very sweet Christmas story.

#audiostitching this for my daughter. It's her Animal Crossing character with her favorite villager, Pietro. Hoping I can finish it in time for Christmas.
My #BookSpin book is the second buddy read for #MerryReaders and my #DoubleSpin book is the 4th in my current favorite series!
So excited for December!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brian‘s father is in the hospital because he is very sick. Brian sees his Mom‘s wallet fall from her purse and a young woman takes off with it. Brian decides to follow her because a very special item is in the wallet and he must get it back. A cop killer is on the lose and must get out of the country. All of this is happening on Christmas Eve. Everything is connected somehow. Will Brian make it home for Christmas?
Had this book on my shelf at home and decided to read it in memory MHC‘s recent passing. It was a quick read that kept me interested.
Which was your favorite By MHC? I have the tagged book in my home library. I think I‘ll read it in the next few days in her memory. RIP
Short Christmas novel. A young boy sees his mom drop her wallet and follows the lady who picks it up. This leads him to becoming part of a hostage situation. Will everything work out? I enjoyed this. I felt that even though it was short, Clark was able to convey the emotions and thoughts very well and I found myself becoming involved in the characters.

Mary Higgins Clark, the "Queen of Suspense," has crafted a very special holiday story about a child's courage in the face of danger, and the power of love. Charged with menace and thrilling suspense, it is the #1 New York Times bestselling author's gift to readers for all seasons.
I used to read a lot of these but haven‘t read many Mary Higgins Clark books lately. I‘ve amassed quite a collection though because MHC is one of my grandmother‘s favourite authors. Grandma knows I love reading so I get all the books when she‘s finished with them! I really ought to read them soon before she gets mad at me 😳 #HolidayBook #HolidaySong #HollyJollyReading #GreenCovers #RedWhiteCover #DearDecember
On Christmas Eve while in New York to visit his father after a life-saving surgery, Brian sees his mother‘s wallet fall out of her purse and a stranger picks it up. He knows that within is a St. Christoper‘s medal he is determined to give his father, so he pursues the woman. Unbeknownst to Brian, it was the beginning of the scariest night of his life. Fast paced and engaging (though mildly predictable), I enjoyed this Christmas mystery. 3.5⭐️
We had minimal silence last night. Merry Merry Chicago concert at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is a great idea if you‘re ever in the area during the holidays. #SilentNight #Jingleshelves @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @bookloo

Over the years I've read many a Christmas mystery by Clark.
Day 3 #SeasonsReadings2017 #OnlyAtChristmas #DecDays #SilverBells "Silver bells, silver bells, it's Christmas time in the city." This song always makes me think of New York. It's been so long since I've read either of them that I don't know if there are any silver bells in the tagged book or in 'Lost Angel' in the other book of stories by Mary Higgins Clark but they both center around children lost in New York City--only at Christmas time.???
