Next audible

I wanted more. I know we're getting more soon but the next instalment picks up a year later! There was a lot of time spent setting the scene, which was great but it felt like that came at the expense of giving us more of the plot. I loved Kevin & Isabelle's story, I cheered when Ava dropped Nathaniel, I wanted to punch Patrick in the face, and Mitzi was the least likeable character I've seen from Elin H. so far.

Might be my first EH and it is a little standard-romance-y but I still blew threw it and enjoyed it. My least fave characters are Mitzy (sp? I listen to audio) and Ava to be sure. Ava is top least fave, her dilemma is quite possibly the most trite and the way the narrator has her say “mommy“ smacks of being 6yo. It's weird.

EH books are so easy to read. I devoured this on a snow day and I feel warm and fuzzy now

I recently read Elin Hikderbrand for the first time and liked her - I always thought she might be too mushy, romance for my taste but the one book I read didn‘t seem so - so hoping I like this one!

This is my favorite Christmas book series and I have been doing a yearly reread every December for the past 7 years. I couldn‘t wait to dive into book 1 today. I love the Quinn family & all of their messy yet relatable drama. And I love escaping to Nantucket & seeing how the other half lives. The audiobooks are excellent! 5⭐️

This was my Christmas Eve present and I tore through it. My family chose well. Happy Holidays all!

12-19-23: My 101st finished book of 2023! Book 1 in a series my good friend Dana bought be for my birthday back in September. 3 days during Christmas in Nantucket with the Quinn family. Kelley, the dad and owner of the Winter Street Inn gets a major shock, Margaret, his famous ex-wife shows up to help. And their children all go through it but it feels very relatable and funny for the most part. I‘m looking forward for book 2.

I enjoyed this Christmas themed read. It‘s an absorbing family drama with some great characters. It‘s not too sugary or soppy as this kind of book can be sometimes. I shall miss my visits to the Winter Street Inn - I‘m looking forward to reading the next in the series if I can get hold of a copy!

I read and loved the Winter Street Series and got a chance to meet Elin Hilderbrand tonight! Amazing lady! This series is a must read!

A book about the holiday season, filled with drama. Not bad drama, good plot/real life drama. You can feel for the characters and become attached to them as you read this story. Written in a lighthearted manner, yet tackles big trials and tribulations. Fast and engaging.

The Winter Street series is one of my favorite Christmas series and it‘s now become a tradition to read at least 2 out of the 4 books every December. This year I‘m back at book 1 and went the #audiobook route. As usual, I am completely sucked into the Quinn family drama and find them fascinating. I‘d highly recommend this series! 5⭐️

Absolutely adored all the characters and setting of The Winter Street series. I am so glad I waited to read them all back to back. 🎅❤🎄☃️

Loved the Winter series, I‘m a huge Elin Hilderbrand fan 👏🏻 Really liking Karen Swan these days 👍🏻

This was nice for this time of year. I just didn‘t think it had a lot of depth. But, the story was interesting. A bit of mystery and romance and tension. I like this author generally and thought this was pretty good.

This is a reread. I first read it a couple years ago, but for whatever reason, never continued on in the series. Listened to it on audio this time, and already have the 2nd one checked out on Libby! As far as holiday stories go, this is one of the better ones!

If you know this author, you know that this is a drama with some romance, some tragedies, betrayals, second chances and sad situations around family members. Spouses, ex, couples will reunite in Winter Street. Sad ending but keep your interest to continue the story. I read @JenlovesJT47 that she enjoyed this serie. 3.7⭐️

Lots of family drama in this holiday novel that centers around the blended Quinn family at the inn the patriarch of the family owns on Nantucket. Each member of the family is facing a personal crisis. They all come together to celebrate Christmas. This one is a fast read. Ends on a cliff hangar making the reader want to start the next in the series right away! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚🎄

Started my day here with coffee...ending my day here with wine. ❤️📚 I am really enjoying this light read so far. Just what is called for after my last read.

I have 3 more books to read this year to make it to 50 books, which would be an all time high for me, since I‘ve been tracking. (I set my GR goal at 40 this year.) With 3 weeks left to do it, I‘m choosing something light and wintery, that has been on my wish list for a while. I am treating myself to this series, because I love binge reading series and want to get cozy with holiday stories. Really looking forward to reading this one! ❤️📚

My next audio book and I cant wait.

I‘ve never read an Elin Hilderbrand book, but the lovely cover drew me in and I‘m so glad! The writing is simple, but it was a nice escape. The story is charming and packed full of family drama. I‘ve already started in on book two in the series. 🎄

I read a lot of Christmas stories around the holidays. Most are rated a 2-3 for me because of the lack of substance and cute love story nature of the books. Don‘t get me wrong...that‘s what I‘m lookin for! However....this book surprised me. I expected another of the same and got so much more! Family drama, holiday spirit, and and ending that is going to make me read the next book immediately! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
