The text of Literary Witches is not straightforward. Though there‘s a tiny, factual snippet at the bottom of each writer‘s page, detailing their life & works, most of the text is far more fanciful. Each author is described in 3 short vignettes (3 is a magic number), filled with allusive symbolism. Emily Dickinson transforms into a mink; Audre Lord is a golden lava goddess; Anne Carson‘s brain travels independently & bites at people‘s ankles. 👇🏻
