My stats for June...I really wanted to finish something today, but I‘m fighting off yet another headache, thanks to the hot temps outside. July may be a time to finish a lot of these in progress books. I also need to get back to #13books13weeks . Crossing my fingers!

The bottom four books need to be read by June 30th for various postal book clubs including #lmpbc and #1001books plus one book for the #aummerreadingchallenge and one for me! June is going to be busy too so reading will have to be done in between events!
bailedIt's not you, it's me. I am just not in a place right now, when I'm mostly reading at the end if very trying days, to unravel meaning from lots of stream of consciousness. For the same reason I don't think I'd try to tackle Faulkner right now. I'm going to try The Invisible Man instead someday, possibly should have started there.

Started a few days ago but haven't got very far. A lot -- A LOT -- of stream of consciousness which is always hard for me to read even in small doses.
Here's what I read for the month of June. Technically not done with Talking As Fast As I Can or Dating You/Hating You yet, but there's the rest of today! pickThe story of a white, race-baiting senator and his deathbed conversations with a Black preacher. Because the story is made up mostly of memories, the narration jumps around quite a bit. But the prose is amazing. And Ellison does not hide his opinion of politicians!
Just two more left on my #LitsyAtoZ. I'll be able to check this one off my #MountTBR too!
