Brand new bookish tat!!! ❤️📚
One of the most depressing and enlightening books I've ever picked up. Tough to read, and the stories of people struggling really stay with you. Made me grateful and angry at the same time. A must-read for all Americans wondering what happened to the American Dream.
Finally finished this after several attempts. It is SO incredibly dense. I feel like entire wars are fought and lives are lived on one or two pages. Glad I finally conquered it. Beautiful overall story - just.... whew.
Having a pretty great reading weekend so far! I loved this story. I cried. I smiled. What more can you ask of a love story? ❤️😢
Loved this book so much!! Can't believe it took me so long to get around to it. It officially got me out of my (slight) reading slump. Three cheers for 80s geekery!
Weekend stack!! What should I start with??
Just finished this one. I always thought the movie was so intriguing. The book was meh - wondering if I should try any of the sequels? Maybe would have been better if I didn't know what was going to happen?
I'm about 80 pages in on this one and I'm not loving it. I don't really enjoy the interview/diary format and I'm kind of bored. Should I stick with it? Does it get better?
I gave this to my friend who is having a baby girl next month. Love the notorious RBG!! #shepersisted
Good morning, Littens, and Happy Weekend!! I was so busy at work this week - no time for reading. ☹️🐼 But now I'm freeeeeee and working on my TBR pile with coffee in hand!! ❤️📚☕️
Time travel, heck yeah! I am so excited to have won this ARC of Neal Stephenson and Nicole Galland!! Thanks so much @WilliamMorrow and @Tav - I can't wait to read and post my review! 👏❤️📚
My favorite piece of literary wall art. ❤️❤️❤️
IT CAME! It finally came! 👏👏👏 Trying to savor it though. Side note - who else also hates dust covers that aren't library dust covers?
You guys!!! 😊 I've been a part of this beautiful Litsy community for three weeks and it is amazing! You are all so supportive and uplifting, and I just love my new social media home. ❤️❤️❤️
Me, reading the last few chapters of this AMAZING BOOK. I cried. I cheered. I gasped. I loved every second of it. ON TO A COURT OF WINGS AND RUIN!!! 😍👏😮😭
Love this. ❤️#rawr
This is one of my all-time favorites and I've not talked to many others who have read and loved it. I've always wanted to see it get made into a movie!! ❤️
Has anyone read this? I love Gone With the Wind. Scarlett disappointed me.... and I don't want to read another disappointing attempt at a sequel.
Happy Derby Day from the Bluegrass State!! I believe I will hang out in Prythian until the Run for the Roses. 🌹🌹🌹🐎🐎🐎❤️❤️❤️
I. Loved. This. Book. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!! ❤️🌹😊
Thought I should probably introduce my new friends to my cat. Littens, this is Mr. Tumnus. 😻
This one is on its way to me! I took the plunge and ordered despite my temporary book-buying ban after reading how great the reviews are! (Oops!) I love sci-fi and fantasy and I am super excited to get in the mail! Have you read? Did you ❤️ it? I've never seen a book with so many positive Amazon reviews!!
One of my life rules... ABC - Always Be Carrying a book!!! Something I took away from reading Stephen King's "On Writing."
Really enjoying this one so far! Mr. Larson certainly knows how to tell a compelling story. My first book of his... but not my last!
Struggling with this one and trying to decide if I want to bail or not. The writing is not great and the characters feel very thin. About 75 pages in. Any thoughts or alternate perspectives?
This book was wonderful. Beautiful prose! I found the treatment of race and gender issues to be both thought-provoking and unsettling. It will stay with me for a long time. I just finished it and I want to read it again! 🏇❤️
Eden was most certainly a garden, so this counts, right!? My all-time #1 favorite book! #gardentitle
Finished! It was a great, fast read. If you love Black Mirror, definitely check this out. Creepy and close to home for all of us in the digital age!!
On the last 50 pages of this - SO interesting. I am reading it right after Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance in an attempt to understand more about why Trump was elected. I think Strangers does a better job with that specific question, but both are definitely worth the time.
Powering through this one. Pretty intrigued so far. I hope the ending doesn't disappoint because I feel a lot of building and inevitability. PS - Don't boarding passes make the best bookmarks?!
Came out to favorite local bookstore Joseph-Beth to pick up The Circle by David Eggers for the plane tomorrow. #bookheaven
A cascade of awesome #ORANGEYOUGLAD titles! Thanks for doing an awesome giveaway @Liberty !!! 🙌👏
Spending a little time this morning with my new favorite poet, Mary Oliver. This one really speaks to me. I watch far too many documentaries about climate change.
Really enjoying the "reread" of this amazing book!!! #thehandmaidstale #margaretatwoodforpresident
Not a bad Friday afternoon....
