I think I liked this book even better than the first one! My favorite part was when the Cheshire Cat (now Unitary Authority of Warrington Cat) helped Thursday navigate the infinite library. I'm a sucker for Alice in Wonderland allusions & I'm very very excited to read more about the well of lost plots in the next installment.

Planning to spend the rest of my night Lost in a Good Book 😏
I'm glad #BookSpin pushed me to read this because it was hilarious. Literary allusions and bad puns seem to be exactly my cup of tea.
@TheAromaOfBooks
This book was so much fun! I loved Thursday and Miss Havisham partnered together ❤️ I really need to go finish Great Expectation now. I can‘t wait to read the next one🙂
More Jasper Fforde! #betterworldbooks

I'm ashamed to admit how long I've had this series on my shelves. I'm hoping to finally read them this year.
#BeginsWith #Lost I really liked the books I read in the Thursday Next series!

Found this treasure on Etsy. An ARC by my favorite author! #itsagoodday I‘m so happy to add it to my (maybe ridiculous) Fforde collection (I have multiples of almost all of this series- but this is the first ARC!).
Thank you!!!! @JenlovesJT47
Im sucker for socks and totes!!
And pumpkin spice is my jam!!
Thank you again!!!
This book is a second in a series of seven books. I LOVED the first book, The Eyre Affair, so I had very high hopes of this one. My hopes were dashed though. It started slow and just did not seem to pick up. I feel like I gave it a chance, but it did not live to my expectation. What I read was well-written; it just bored me. 🌟🌟
This is the second in the Thursday Next series and is equally as quirky, humorous and at times downright wacky. Full of puns, literary references and weirdness, I like these for their lightness and good natured fun. Having said that I also like my light reads to be a bit snappier and I think this was overly long with a few dull moments and a somewhat slow beginning.
#bookspin for May, finished just in time for the June draw. @TheAromaofBooks
May #bookspin and I‘m only just getting to it now. So much for doing book bonanza. It‘s been ages since I read the first in the Thursday Next book and I‘d forgotten how much fun and full of puns these books are. I particularly love the character Braxton Hicks. Plus it‘s light enough to sneak a bit in while supervising home learning with my two primary school aged children.
@TheAromaofBooks
First up for this month‘s #bookspin and I‘m looking forward to getting lost in it. I‘m hoping to get through a couple more from this list but reading time is hard to come by some days.
@TheAromaofBooks
I liked picking up w/Thursday as she deals w/the aftermath of The Eyre Affair. Her wry way of dealing w/fame really amuses me. But I didn't sympathize w/her at all when she loses Landen, b/c I just don't care about him. It was delightful to watch her go off on her own adventures. But as the story continued, it started to lose steam. So yes, I liked it & will continue the series. It just had a lot going on.
October was SUCH a busy month that not as much reading happened as planned. But everything I read was super enjoyable, so bring on November!
I did slightly better this week, but with so much going on, I've been losing my motivation! I get home and I'm just too tired and frustrated to track and exercise. I'm glad I got this much in, at least. Help, Team #GobletofFitness! @wanderinglynn, @bookandcat @Crazyspine @Honeybeegirl

1. Tagged above. This is my favorite in the Thursday Next series.
2. My first love is crunchy but I try to be an Equal Opportunity Cheeto Eater! 🤤😃
3. Sunrise. Everything seems fresh and hopeful.
4. Bathroom remodel.
5. Kindergarten! Yes, it counts!
#FriyayIntro Thanks for the tag @howjessreads
“I got mixed up with some oddness in my youth, and the long and short of it is that I can't shuffle off this mortal coil until I have read the ten most boring classics.“ [Granny Next, 134]
Poor Granny! 😂
“How you managed to become the dominant species we will never know,“ Stiggins said at last. “So full of hate, anger and vanity.“ [113]
Sigh.
Second book in the series was also an excellent reread. I find it so much bookish silly fun!
At the most recent Friends of the Library sale, I picked up the entire series, in very good condition hardcover, *except* the first installment! Now I'm on a quest to complete my collection.
This was a lot of fun! Fictional character was the hardest for me.
#alphabetbookishquiz @RealLifeReading
#WanderingJune #LetsGetLost I love Thursday Next and her adventures!
@Cinfhen @BarbaraBB
#LetsGetLost in the Thursday Next series where the line between literature and reality becomes blurred, allowing characters in the books and those in 'real life' to jump in and out of novels.
Still unread on my tbr #WanderingJune
New here.
This is the second book in an 8 book series.
Just started chapter 2. Highly entertaining! 🙂
Characters include Thursday Next, Braxton Hicks, Jack Schitt and Landen Parke-Laine. Chuckles guaranteed!
The villian of the second Thursday Next book is a memory manipulator, though what I recall the execution is pretty different from the scumbag in Violations. I remember it as being good, but it has been awhile (and maybe Aornis has gotten to me!).

You should go ahead and take a bathroom break now cause this gonna take a while. 😂😂
I enjoyed the 2nd book in the Thursday Next series, and I look forward to reading The Well of Lost Thoughts! 📚
Hoping to finish this book this morning, as well. I'm really enjoying this series! #coffeeandabook ☕
I fell down the Jasper Fforde rabbit hole... #noregrets
I just recently found out he never has a chapter 13. There's always one listed in the Contents, but not written. 🤷♀️
I liked the first book a lot but wasn‘t compelled to immediately jump into the second, so it had been a while, but I loved this and wish I‘d listened to it sooner. It‘s clever, witty and smart and the audiobook narration is excellent. I‘ll definitely be picking up the third one soon.
Yeah...Drove my car today and will tomorrow as well so the battery gets going but otherwise I‘m staying inside.
I won this mug as part of the winter reading program! It‘s perfect for hot chocolate on this warm, above zero morning. #dpl #winterreading
5 ⭐
I love this series! Book two is just as good as the first. The characters are likeable, the plot is interesting, and the literary references make me laugh out loud. A really enjoyable read.
I officially love this series. Book 2 was even better than the 1st. So many unexpected twists and turns. So much bookish content! Now I have to read the next in the series. I think I heard it was only a trilogy though so there may be an end in sight. Edited to add: After looking up the author, there are more than 3 books in the series. And he has other books I now want to read as well. I'm doomed.

This one was between three and four stars for me. I enjoyed it but not as much as the first in the series. I‘ll take a break and see if I want to carry on with the third book. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thoughts or recommendations?
Just another reason why Brick Heck (from The Middle) is my spirit animal.
